This book starts out in conflict; the Clans are on the verge of fighting one another because the lake where the Clans make their home has been mysteriously drained of almost all its water. RiverClan starts causing problems by claiming the land where the lake used to be, and through all this the Clans grow thirstier and thirstier.

Meanwhile in ThunderClan, cats are growing up. Poppyfrost is due to have kits, and six-moon old kits are being made apprentices, mainly Dovekit and Ivykit. Dovekit becomes Lionblaze's apprentice and Ivypaw becomes Cinderheart's. Life goes on for a while, then Dovepaw starts discovering her gift of sensing animals and events that are far away from her, and she finds out that something is damming the stream, causing the drainage of the lake.

The Clans each send a patrol to find out who (or what) blocked up the lake and the cats must stop the threat from destroying the Clans.

This book was well-written and kept me on edge while I was reading it. This series gets better and better and I can't wait to find out what happens to the chosen Three. It's a shame that the next one (Fading Echoes) doesn't come out until next April, but that'll come soon enough.

I am a big fan of Erin Hunter and, more specifically, the Warriors saga. I fell in love with the cats and the books themselves a few years ago, and avidly read them until I reached this point. Though I still read, I couldn't help but ask myself over and over "WHEN IS THIS GOING TO END?"

The storyline of the Power of Three just seems to carry along in Omen of the Stars, and you start to wonder if the Erins were just trying to fit random things in to take up space and make a new series.

The first two series, the original Warriors and The New Prophecy, were both spellbinding and kept you entertained and wondering what would happen next over and over. They include all of the literary elements a good series/book should have, but you reach the Power of Three and it all starts to fade.

Sorry, Erins.

I am such a dork, lol BUT I LOVE THESE BOOKS!!!! I read them over the past two years probably and I always found them to be great!!!! Cats that talk...ya I know sounds stupid but I love cats well actually animals in general so these books are great for me! Erin Hunter does a great job spinning tales of the lives of the 4 clans of cats. I couldn't pick a favorite in the series and be set on it, but if I had to it would be the first one Into The Wild, because in my eyes that is what started the whole series and is therefore connected to all of them!!! Before this book Jayfeather and LIonblaze two of the three cats destined to hold the power of the stars in their paws lost their dear sister Hollyleaf. They thought she was part of the prophecy but she ended up dying in a terrible accident in tunnels underground. Still mourning over Hollyleaf's death Jayfeather and Lionblaze look for hope in Whitewings new kits. Ivypaw and Dovepaw. Is there hope for the prophecy?? Well this book will tell all!!! Which one of the new kits will hold the power of the stars in their paws...read this amazing Erin Hunter book to find out!!!!

At the same time that Lionblaze and Jayfeather have to worry about the prophecy they are also in danger from their families deadly past. In the last book the truth about the brothers parents came out... Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw were the parents of Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf. Or at least that is what everyone thought until the truth came out...and EVERYONE learned that their real parents were Leafpool (Squirrelflight's sister) and Crowfeather. The bad part to that parentage is that Leafpool was from Thunderclan and Crowfeather was Windclan, that is a against the warrior code for cat clans to have mates in other clans. They broke rules to be together and what is even worse is that Leafpool was a medicine cat and they aren't allowed to have mates and or kits. So it was a scandal in the clans, and they lied about it. Lionblaze and Jayfeather are half clan cats and now everyone knows, and there is nothing they can do about it. Anger over this affair/scandal runs deep in some cats hearts. Revenge is taken and from this book lays a path of destruction to the next in the series, Fading Echoes.
On top of all those problems surrounding just Lionblaze and his brother Jayfeather, is the survival of all the clans. A much bigger problem that involves every cat from every clan is going down!!!! There is a drought and it is summer time. Already extremely hot, no rain and whats worse the water flowing through the main stream stops. No cat knows what is wrong(well maybe one does!) and all the clans are doomed unless someone can bring the water back. Figure out the fate of the clans and more specifically Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and the mystery kitten with the power of the stars in her paws by reading this amazing book, The Fourth Apprentice!!!!!!!!

The plot was actually really good with restoring the lake which caused enough conflict between the Clans to keep me entertained but it took little to no pages to find out Dovepaw’s powers at all? And I know it’s supposedly a children’s book but some of the dialogue was SOOOO cliché.

Have you ever had a time when it was horrible just the way it was but you have a someone that was unwell that added fuel to the fire. Leopardstar is suffering and no medicine cat could prevent it form taking her lives, everything was only known to river clan till Dovewing the third cat in the prophecy due to the tragic end of the prophecy but every ending is a beginning. At the gathering she calmed that the lake belongs to river clan and that wind clan ,shadow clan and thunder clan were stealing there fish but she overlooked the fact that there was a drought going on.Firestar was on a patrol when a fox ambushed his patrol but he manged to drive it off but it caused him to loose another life just like what Lepardstar is going through.

Dovewing has the power of stars in her paw just like Jaypaw and Lionblaze so it is not a shocker that she had a dream of a brown animal blocking the stream that provides water to the lake and at the gathering Firestar persuades all the clan leaders to join in but getting passed Lepardstar was not easy as he claimed that he wanted to invade river clan camp which was located all the way on the other side of the lake, but with the help of her trusted deputy Mistyfoot Firestar managed to get all the clans acceptation and in no time a patrol was organized to return the life back to the clans. The patrol encountered trouble but it was nothing compared to what to face in-other to be saviors, even thought they encountered trouble they found help too. Armed with this knowledge the clan cats head of to free the water but it was harder than they thought as the planned attack backfired and it turned to a fighting to survive, the brown animal slashed and bite at the clan cats, they we loosing the fight as one cat died and more being slashed at but they never gave up fighting even if all of them were covered in blood and wounds. Will the clan cats die trying or make up another plan?

This book is great for people who like solving problems as there are more problems in this books as there are stars in the sky. The book was so well written that I sometimes forget that that I am reading and not there and it is so additive that you can't even stop reading no mater what.T his book is actually really different form all the other books yet it has some elements of classic warriors. I truly think that Mistyfoot will be a great leader but a dark time draws near..

New story, new cycle for Warrior Cats. If there is one series I have loved there's definitely this one: the Warrior Cats. But as much as I do find the new characters quite nice, the new story still just as well-fitting to the last cycle, and the cats still just as cute (I need a break from cuteness), I really think the series need to finally and definitely stop (and I really mean it). I mean, the global story, as good as it is, is just getting too boring and repetitive. And even the first book of the fourth cycle(sigh...) has a plot that was just re-used and remixed from the third cycle. I think the author is DEFINITELY running out of ideas now. To be fair, I read the book in two days and seriously wasn't impressed by this start of the cycle. It is simply not creative enough compared to the other cycles. So I think, as good as is Warrior Cats, it is getting too much, and it needs to stop (actually it technically could have stopped before but whatever). Don't put hate comments after reading this please, I am a fan of Warrior Cats, don't get me wrong.

You can't afford to pass this book up! I can tell you right now this is going to be a great series....

In this book Ivykit and Dovekit, the children of Whitewing and Birchfall, will be apprenticed, and one of the two kits has a special power foreseen to become part of the Three--in the prophecy "There will be three kin of your kin who will hold the power of the stars in their paws." But who will it be? What will their power be? And to top it all off, what is Leafpool going to do now that her secret has been uncovered?

Doom is approaching fast as Starclan prepares for a battle. Every Warrior will be called upon... and every Warrior will be needed. But...wait what battle could Starclan possibly need to fight???

Hollyleaf has vanished into the cursed tunnels and now Lionblaze and Jayfeather needs to find the 3rd cat of the three- There will be 3 kin of your kin who will hold the power of stars in their paws! On the other side things are really beginning to change, and the three will need to work together and survive!
I thought that this series put an end to the old plot and started with the new one! Now the story is getting incredibly unstoppable to read.

I thought Erin hunter is a great person because he is really creative to come up with such a complicated storyline!

It wasn't the best book in the series. But so far the 'Omen Of The Stars' is better than the 'Power Of Three'. I recommend this series for ages 10+.

This was a reread to start my journey of getting caught up on this series. Reading this so many years later, the one thing that kind of annoyed me is how if a character thinks back on something that happened in a previous book, the entire event is reexplained, assuming the readers didn't read the previous books. Of course, I know this is a children's series, and it makes sense to do so. Dovepaw annoyed me slightly more than the last time I read this, but it was not too bad. Jayfeather is still my favorite. Just because of his sass and the way he kind of secretly cares about the other cats. I forgot how angsty he gets, though. The books I'm into reading now are definitely way more advanced than these are. I still enjoyed reading this and plan to see the series through to the end, should we ever reach an end.

Dovepaw’s power is just so incredibly cool—to be able to sense (mostly hear and smell) things happening far away! It’s unique and has so many uses and possibilities. And the premise of the lake drying up because of the beavers is unique and interesting. And of course there’s already a hint of forbidden love between Dovepaw and Tigerheart! I always did like this series.

Jayfeather and Lionblaze still don't know who the third cat is supposed to be. It's either Ivypaw or Dovepaw...you don't know which until a few chapters into it.
Meanwhile, the lake has dried up, RiverClan is accusing the other Clans of stealing prey, and the third cat (who will remain nameless) knows that something is upstream, blocking the water flow.
All four Clans send cats on a mission to find the water and save the Clans (this whole "saving the Clans" thing happens a lot) but time is running out and the fate of the Clans is resting on the shoulders of five warriors who become four, and an apprentice who knows more than she's telling....

It's an ongoing adventure story that keeps going, in five different series so far. Honestly, what's not to like?

This will only make sense if you've read the first three series of Warriors books. Just in case, I'll tell you what they are. Warriors, Warriors: The New Prophecy, Warriors: Power of Three, and Warriors: Omen of the Stars. If you like animals and fun explanations for things, and whole civilizations right under people's noses, you'll like this.

I really hope the Warriors books don't stay on this downward trajectory they seem to be following. It's not that I didn't enjoy this book... but it felt like a bit of a drag.

This arc seems to be taking more of a sombre approach to things compared to the previous three. With Hollyleaf now out of the picture, Lionblaze and Jayfeather need to find the last of the three, kin of Firestar's kin. With Cloudtail's (Firestar's nephew) daughter Whitewing having birthed two kits at the end of PoT, Lionblaze and Jayfeather believe one of them could be the third.

I can just tell this is going to bring further drama to the series, with potential jealousy between Ivypaw and Dovepaw. I hope it isn't going to be too much of a headache...

I do like how we are still following Lionblaze and Jayfeather. And if it weren't for me snooping on the Warriors Wiki and accidentally spoiling things for myself, I don't know how I'd commit myself to the series for the rest of the books.

I will, however, be taking a break for a month or so. Hopefully this resparks my interest in the Warriors' Universe.

This was a great book. It was an interesting, exiting, and page turning book. It doesn't really make sense to tell the story line of the book in this review because no one would know what was going on or what I'm talking about it unless they read these books, but I'll do it anyways. The book start out with the two characters from the previous series, Jayfeather and Lionblaze, and a new character. Between the previous book and this one Dovekit and Ivykit were born. Jayfeather and Lionblaze had thought that Hollyleaf was the third one in the prophecy, but when she died, they knew it couldn't have been her. Dovekit and her sister Ivykit were both related to Firestar, so one of them could possibly be the third cat from the prophecy. While trying to find out which of them is the third cat, the lake is shrinking and shrinking. Every cat is starting to starve because of the effects of the lack of water, but one cat can do something that none other can, and knows what is causing the lake to shrink. Is it Dovekit, or Ivykit? Read to find out.

The Fourth Apprentice took me on another journey with these cute yet badass cats, and if I say so myself—and clearly, I do—it was an exhilarating one.

The Warriors series is one of those series I wish I had read when I was younger. I bet they would've become a favourite. Not to worry: I am reading them now, and they have certainly become a favourite as a young adult.

It is the beginning of the Omen of the Stars, and we found ourselves following the characters Lionblaze and Jayfeather with the addition of another who will complete the prophecy from The Power of Three: There will be three, kin of your kin... who hold the power of the stars in their paws.

At all times, I was captivated; the world became my own, and when the end came, I was flung out; now, I really, really, really want—really, really, really need—the next one.

Will it ever be right for the Prophecy to come to light, and just which cats make up the Three? Two of the cats are obvious, but the third could be any of Firestar's kin. I love the family lines, and connections and friendships that were made long ago become important even now. I have put off reading the guide books until I have fully finished all the series, but I am going to enjoy reexamining the full connections since Firestar joined the Clan.

Exciting, fresh writing keeps me going back to these books. Each story arc is fun and introduces new favorite characters. New territory gets explored as well. I am looking forward to the rest of these books!

This was actually the first Omen of the Stars book I read from this ark.
This book was pretty funny, making jokes everywhere. When they talked about the third cat that was part of the prophecy, the fact that one of the cats thought she was one of them since she was born in the same litter as the other two. It became a big disappointment when they realized she wasn't one of them. Interesting book, since now that the Firestar ark is over, there isn't that over powered ability he has interrupting the plot of the story.

This book is interesting.... A drought, started and ended in this book. Dovepaw and Lionblaze of Thunderclan, along with cats from the other three clans, fought off some beavers and destroyed their dam to refill the lake with the river they were blocking. This is the first book in the Omen of the Stars, and shows that the third cat in the powerful three prophecy is Dovepaw, with the power to sense thing very far away (she sensed the beaver dam). The Dark Forest (the opposite of Starclan) is connecting to the waking world more than ever, and is preparing to attempt to take down Starclan.
