Think you're having a rough week? Bella's stepdad, a semi-pro wrestler, just signed the entire family up for a reality TV show. Bella's first thought: Kill. Me. Now.

Living in Truman, Oklahoma wasn't 100% miserable for Bella. Sure, she misses Manhattan, couture clothes, and her dad. But she was making new friends at Truman High and almost enjoying her work at the school newspaper. Then the whole stepdad-wrestler-reality-show issue hit and her life is now being splashed across weekly tabloids and broadcast news.

As if having a camera crew following her around isn't bad enough, Bella soon discovers a conspiracy against the Truman High prom queen candidates. And the closer she gets to the answer, the more danger she's in.

As her relationship with Luke teeters between friendship and romance, Bella's ex-boyfriend Hunter reappears and vies for Bella's attention. Denying allegations of a love triangle, working to solve the prom queen mystery, and trying to keep her cool on national television finally motivate Bella to start talking—and listening—to God more.

But what comes next has Bella once again screaming: I'M. SO. SURE.

I’m so Sure by Jenny B. Jones

So, for some reason I picked up this book, even though I disliked the first book greatly, but I’m glad I picked it up. Comparing “So not Happening” to “I’m so Sure”, is like comparing…..uh….asparagus to a latte. (“I’m so Sure” being the latte.)

The Characters.

Bella was still Bella, but without as much arrogant, bratty, stereotype rich girl attitude. She was actually likable. All the characters in “I’m so Sure” were fifty times more likable for that matter. I loved the good ol’ original characters, and I loved the new characters.

The Plot

The plot was very intriguing, keeping me glued to the pages. I laughed, I whined, I growled, I gasped, I squealed…. pretty much I was fangirling throughout the whole book. I’m in, very much like with this one. My biggest complaint for “I’m so Sure” is that there was a love triangle. Well, two….ish. I call that a love diamond. But that didn’t bother me very much, it seems like all contemporary novels have them.

My Overall Thoughts.

“I’m so Sure” was a lovely, fun read. I still had my problems with it, but that was some leftover prejudice from book one. I actually did love this book. I would recommend his book. In fact, I’ll probably be squealing about it for days to come. It was just so cute and awesome.

I was thrilled to receive a review copy of the sequel to So Not Happening, which I loved. This is youth fiction at its finest. Reading one of Jenny B. Jones’s books puts a smile on my face and makes me feel good all over.

Bella is in high school and had her life turned upside down in book one, when her mom marries a semi-pro wrestler and they move to Truman, Oklahoma...a far cry from New York. Bella’s mom met this Christian man on-line and has moved to live in a small town in the big woods. What was her mom thinking?

In I’m So Sure, Bella is still adjusting to her new home, step dad and her step brothers. Bella still flies to N.Y. to spend time with her dad in Manhattan on weekends, but things are starting to get weird at her dads. Bella’s father has a steady girlfriend who has a daughter a little younger than herself. Why is her dad falling for this woman?

Weird could be used to describe life in Truman, Oklahoma too. Her step dad, the semi-pro wrestler, has just entered the family into a reality T.V. show contest. If their family is picked, cameras will be following them around everywhere. What was her step dad thinking?

Strange things have also started to happen at Truman High School! The schools prom money has disappeared and no one knows how. Or who took it for that matter. How would they have a prom?

Luke, the editor of the school newspaper, tells Bella the prom story is his and to back off! She needs to focus on the jobs for teen’s article! Bella promises Luke she would stay away from doing any investigating in the prom story. But Bella can’t stop the people that come up to her to help them in finding school funds. Can she?

This author had me laugh out loud so hard I almost dropped my book. I lost it when Jenny describes the different jobs Bella worked at to write the teen job article. Bella stayed at the job long enough to be trained and get the feel of what was required of her in that position. This part was hysterical, I can’t believe the jobs Bella had and the mishaps she had on her jobs. Bella learned to be thankful for these experiences. She discovered jobs she never wanted to do again. Bella wasn’t laughing when some of these embarrassing mishap moments were caught on film by the T.V. realty show and shown to the entire world. OHMYGOSH!

I can’t wait to read the third and final book in this series called, So Over My Head. Can’t wait to see what Bella Kirkwood is up to next and what crazy, spontaneous, fun adventure she will take us on. Thanks Jenny, for bringing a smile to my face, laughter in my heart and funny stories to share about Bella with my family and friends.

Truman, Oklahoma hasn’t turned out as horribly as Bella Kirkwood thought it would. Sure, her desitned label allowance has been drastically cut, but with new friends and a comfy position on the school newspaper staff, she’s feeling pretty good. It also helps that nearly everyone thinks she’s some sort of Nancy Drew ever since she figured out what was really going on with the football team. Unfortunately, now that Bella’s stepdad, a semi-pro wrestler, has signed their family up for a reality TV show, Bella’s life is about to take a turn for the unbearable once again. As if navigating her relationship with her newspaper editor Luke, a rekindled friendship with her ex-boyfriend Hunter, and all of her reporting assignments wasn’t hard enough, now she has to do it in the public eye thanks to the camera crew that stalks her. And before she knows it, Bella finds herself pursuing yet another mystery at Truman High, this one regarding the upcoming prom. How’s a girl to keep her cool in the face of all this, especially when the threats of danger start coming?

I’m So Sure was just as cute, hilarious, and clever as its prequel So Not Happening proved to be. Bella’s character is even more likable in this story since most traces of her spoiled Manhattan princess roots have been humbled by her acceptance of her new life in Oklahoma and she remains just as determined and hardworking as ever. I must admit, I generally dislike the inclusion of reality shows in books because of their tendency to turn even the most upright people into publicity hungry brats, but the wrestling show actually worked well in this novel because it reinforced many of Bella’s morals. Although I felt the main mystery of this story about prom was less creative and interesting that the one in So Not Happening, I still quite enjoyed it as well as Bella and Luke’s somewhat cryptic but still sweet relationship. If there’s one main thing about I’m So Sure that irked me, it was that religion was slightly more emphasized in this novel than in its prequel. I do realize that I’m So Sure is technically Christian fiction and that the inclusion of faith is to be expected, but there were several instances in which the religious preferences were just unnecessary and the slightest bit annoying.

Fans of the So Not Happening, the prequel to I’m So Sure, will eagerly snatch up this novel as well as look forward to the next installment in The Charmed Life series, So Over My Head. This series may also be enjoyed by readers who liked Pure by Terra Egan McVoy and It’s All About Us by Shelley Adina.

AMAZING THE BEST I HAVE READ, MADE ME TEAR UP AND SQUEAL AND FREAK OUT AND YELL AND FORGET GRAMMER AND USE AND INSTED OF COMMAS!!!!
Bella just can't get a break. right after being downgraded from NYC's most promised lady to a newbie in Oklahoma, she almost dies and her step-dad is part of a reality TV show. Money is going haywire and she needs a job, well falling in poop, getting peed on, starting a food fight, and being attacked by Maxi pads she learns that working is hard. And the drama of her ex-boyfriend coming up (thought I kind of guessed the ending for him). Everything is hectic, and I couldn't get enough. Luckily I have the next book beside me and I'll get back to you in a few days! But overall all I can say is that this book is worth my 5 star rating, and that means I live for this book, and read fan fiction on it. Unlike cheesy stories, Bella doesn't completely change which I find realistic. Recommend to almost anyone. I may find people like Bella obnoxious, but I can't help but pity her when the hospital staff sends her Christmas cards XD

I love Jenny B. Jones. She is so fun to read. I actually read the 3rd book in this series first, and am now reading this one. I actually think this one has a much better pacing than in So over my head. Its wittier, and the main character seems more in focus. Especially the B characters. In the third book, they definitely take more of a backseat, but in this one--they are hilarious.
The only thing I wish could have been left out is Bella's dad in New York and the evil girlfriend he has. So annoying, but then again..its suppose to be.

I giggled lots reading this. That means a win!! The ends all wrapped up well and super hilariously.

I have really grown to enjoy these books. Laugh out loud fun and just absolute fun, with a memorable main character. The antics Bella Kirkwood gets into makes her one of the better Bellas in books. She is sassy, determined, nosy, and flawed to the point of endearment. The way she solves problems just makes you want to root for her. No real complaints with this book.

And in conclusion, I have to honestly ask you all: what other book incorporates Christian themes, a grand conspiracy at a prom, and a battle with a maxi-pad machine? None other than Jenny B. Jones' I'm So Sure.

...I have yet to ask if the B stands for Beatrice...

Man, this book is hilarious! Jenny B. Jones never fails to make me laugh. And the boys she creates in her books are to swoon over! Luke Sullivan... He is definitely on my list of "guys I want to marry." I really love how Jones mix mystery, romance and humor together, making the book completely awesome. Oh, and pluss the fact that this is a Christian book :) I recommend this book to everyone! Though you might want to read the So Not Happening first ;)

Cute series, fun, and some lol moments. I LOVE Luke! :o)

OK. So, I loved the first one so much I decided to dive into the second one. I finished it in one day...

It's just so fun, so silly and still totally engrossing! This is the 2nd time I've read this and how did I forget this one had professional wrestling in it?!

Also, I appreciate the chemistry b/w Bella and her love interest w/o being overly romantic. Totally age-appropriate.

Love. Love. All the time and any time I love JBJ!

"I'm so sure." The title pretty much sums up Bella Kirkwood's life in, of all places, Truman, Oklahoma. The first book in the series, SO NOT HAPPENING, introduces the reader to Bella and the circumstances that find her transplanted from Manhattan to Truman. Now, in I'M SO SURE, Bella has settled into a routine and is finding life, actually, surprisingly, not so bad.

That is until she is accosted by stalking photographers in the park when she has an almost moment with Luke Sullivan, her editor at the school paper. When she arrives home she's horrified to find out that the camera crew was from World Wrestling Television. Apparently, her stepfather is going to be one of the ten hopeful wrestlers on a new reality TV show. The winner of "Pile Driver of Dreams" gains a place in their professional wrestling ranks.

To add insult to injury, her cheating ex-boyfriend, Hunter, calls out of the blue and wants to see her. He's in Tulsa with his father. He apologizes to her, and is fascinated by her faith and forgiveness. He hints at an obscure illness but doesn't give more details, and Bella doesn't want to pry. Luke warns Bella to be cautious around Hunter, but Bella likes the new Hunter before her.

And if all that wasn't enough, Bella has to get a job. Her school paper advisor thinks she's the perfect writer for a column on teens working. The problem is the only sure place hiring is the feminine hygiene plant. There is NO WAY she's taking a job there.

With all of these situations in Bella's life, the reader can be prepared for a hilarious journey that finds her smack dab in the middle of another mystery and cameras catching her at the most embarrassing moments. I'M SO SURE was even more entertaining that the first book in the series.

Don't be put off if you think this is just "Christian Fiction." It's a story for everyone. Ms. Jones doesn't preach at all. Bella does look to God for guidance and reassurance in her daily life, but she is far from perfect, and there is something in Bella that everyone can relate to.

I'm already anticipating the third book in the series, SO OVER MY HEAD. But I have to wait until May 2010 to see what else Bella can get into! And please, Ms. Jones, make sure Ruthie is in the story! She was the spunkiest character in the book!!!

I'm So Sure is an amusing story containing the many wild adventures of Bella Kirkwood. She is the classic Lois Lane. The difference? She also is Jimmy Olsen, but that is not the point here. She can take pictures instead of having another red-haired boy be a photographer. That is indeed one step up from being Lois Lane. However, she may or may not be breaking laws or as Lois Lane puts it, "Committing a felony." And yes, I am a fan of Superman: The Animated Series. I watched that when I was a kid. And I did swoon over Bruce Wayne like what Lois Lane did in World's Finest Part I, II, and III. Big fangirl.

Her Superman? Well, that would be Clark Kent, hiding behind glasses and the whole disguise that shouldn't fool a single person. I don't know how anyone doesn't see the big blue boy behind those round pairs. Anyway, Luke is Clark Kent. And yes, he does wear glasses, which makes this story a bit more cheesy, especially since Bella mentioned Clark Kent. Luke does appear as Superman whenever Bella is in trouble. Though not quite literally. He is perhaps invincible as him, because he still managed to protect Bella in times of her greatest need. It is totally adorable. Except for that little problem with bipolar personality. Oh! And his girlfriend, who goes to Harvard and is one year older than him, but that isn't really the issue here. Nah, it is just the girlfriend who has more confidence and seemingly more smarts than Bella.

Still, they are both wonderful characters. Their chemistry together makes me always wonder if they are ever going to get together and make rabbits.

I'm So Sure is a Christian novel. That means that there are a few characters who are going to pray, but that doesn't bother me very much. Honestly, it makes Bella very adorable. I remember those kids in Sunday School. "Thank you, God, for giving me a mouth. I will take very good care of it. Thank you, Father, for giving me food." It is very adorable, though not adorable as those nine-year olds. I wished she prayed for Luke to be manly.

Overall, I think I'm So Sure is a wonderful, delightful read, especially when you need to relax a little bit. The plot is exciting, and you will be trying to figure out the hitman who is bent to ruin all of the candidates for Prom Queen.

Bella’s at it again. That is, when she’s not lusting over the newest spring fashion line for Burberry. I’m talking about her awesome crime-busting skills. With her amazing(ly hot) editor-in-chief, Luke, by her side, Bella’s ready for anything Oklahoma could possibly throw her way.

That was before her step-dad turned wrestler signed up to have their lives broadcasted via reality TV.

Just as she was finally getting adjusted to life in Truman, a camera crew swipes the rug out from under her. Now, as she tries to 1) get a job for an article in the school paper, 2) figure out the male population, and 3) find out who’s out to turn prom into a nightmare, she can smile at the camera while she’s doing so.

Not.

I really enjoyed this second book in the Charmed Life series. Some parts were so laugh-out-loud hilarious. Like more hilarious than usual. *grin* A particular scene involving a disaster at a maxi-pad factory had me rolling on the floor. *coughcough* But I’ll let you find out the details of that little incident.

In So Not Happening, I wasn’t really all that impressed with Luke. I mean, his and Bella’s playful banter was interesting, but I just wasn’t very captivated with him. My reaction to him was completely different in this second book. Suddenly, Luke is hot. And I really liked it.  Looking forward to seeing how their little romance turns out in the third book.

The one and only thing that irritated me a little was the fact that this book seemed a little ridiculous at points. Jenny specializes in humor, sometimes the ridiculous kind, but some parts were just downright silly. As long as you can get past it and not focus on it too much, it shouldn’t really be a big deal.

In conclusion, I’m So Sure was a fantastic sequel to So Not Happening. I doubt I’ll ever get tired of Jenny’s humor. I can’t seem to get enough of it! Hopefully So Over My Head (book three) will prove to be just as entertaining.

Title: I’M SO SURE
Author: Jenny B. Jones
Publisher: Thomas Nelson
November 2009
ISBN: 978-1-58554-542-8
Genre: Inspirational/youth

When Bella Kirkwood’s step-dad signs the family up for a reality TV show, Bella’s first thought is: Kill. Me. Now. Her life in Truman, Oklahoma, is getting down to a semi-normal existence, Bella is making friends, and while she still misses Manhattan and her dad’s credit card, she is adjusting. But then a camera crew starts following Bella around.

As if having a ‘tail’ isn’t bad enough, Bella’s editor is insisting she get a job so she can write an article about the trials of a working teenager. But having a job isn’t all Bella thought it might be. She manages to land the most dirty jobs in the township.

And when Bella’s friend, Lindy, becomes the Junior class president, Bella suddenly discovers that someone has a conspiracy against the Truman High prom queen candidates. Bella’s editor, Luke, insists on helping with the story, but it seems the closer they get to the answers, the more danger Bella’s in.

I’M SO SURE is book two in the A Charmed Life series. I was able to read book one first, and I’m glad I did as I was able to get the full story behind how Bella arrived in Truman and all the events that transpired as she relocated and struggled to adjust, but I think book two could have stood alone as Ms. Jones did an excellent job putting in just enough backstory so you know what happened earlier.

Bella is a realistic teenager, funny and sarcastic, and one that I would have loved to have been friends with if I were a teen. I laughed out loud at portions of this book, and other parts were kind of heartbreaking. I thoroughly enjoy this series so far (and so is my teen daughter) and am looking forward to the third book in the series, So Over My Head coming in May 2010. Discussion questions are included at the end of the book. $12.99. 299 pages.

Summary: In the second book of the A Charmed Life series, Bella has found herself tolerating (okay, sometimes enjoying) life in small-town Truman, Oklahoma. When life settles Bella into a routine, her stepfather Jake is cast on a reality television show for wrestlers. As if seeing your stepfather in tight shorts throwing other men around isn’t embarrassing enough, Bella’s love life (or lack thereof) is now a part of the show. Her growing attraction to Luke, the school editor, and her feelings for her ex-boyfriend Hunter are now displayed for the world to see. In addition, prom is in jeopardy as money goes missing and the girls running for Prom Queen begin to be targeted. Will Bella figure out who is behind the prom debacle and more importantly, what boy has her heart?
My thoughts: I enjoyed this book even more than the first one in the series. The author does a great job of balancing the funny things in life (Bella’s attempt at a job scooping poop or squeezing beans onto a burrito) with hard situations in life (Dolly’s sacrifice—I don’t want to give too much away). I like the growing friendship between Bella and Luke, and the development of the family is extended in this book through the reality TV show storyline, which is a nice glimpse into how a blended family should work. As with the first book, Jones does a great job of having spiritual elements without preaching or lecturing the reader.
I look forward to the third book to find out more about Bella’s relationship with her dad. I would also like to see more development in the relationship between Bella and her mother, who is trying to be a good parent after years of being a distant, hands-off parent when the two lived in NYC.

Lighthearted and fun, yet also clinging to a serious side, I'm So Sure is the perfect sequel to an awesome first book in the Charmed Life series. I read this book within days of it arriving in my mailbox. There were so many laugh-out-loud moments I lost count. In fact, I read several scenes to my husband and he laughed, too. Jones has a truly wack-o sense of humor, but it's also inspiring. I don't think I could ever come up with so many great one-liners. Jones has such a funny, snarky voice.

Another thing I love about this series... Jenny B. Jones knows how to take her characters to the very edge of disaster, then elbows them until they topple off that precarious ledge. Bella has so much trouble stirring in her life that it's downright funny because the girl never gets a break. Just when you think her life can't get any more humiliating, it gets worse for her. Donald Maas would be proud. In fact, he could study Jones's books and probably learn something from them. Seriously.

Despite all of the humorous situations, Bella also knows true heartache. Her character grows both spiritually and emotionally in this sequel. A number of times I truly felt her rejection. However, Bella tends to deal with everything tongue in cheek. So when Bella is ruffled enough to nearly cry, it brings about the waterworks in this reader. Well done! Now I can't wait for the third book in the series to release in May!

There are no two ways about it... Jenny B. Jones is just plain funny. If given the task of writing a calculus text book, she could probably make it a rip-roarer. Thankfully for us, she's sticking to fiction.

"I'm So Sure" is the continuing saga of Bella Kirkwood, former Manhattan fashionista turned small town high school reporter. Bella's life hasn't been normal since her mother remarried and moved them to Truman, Oklahoma. But now that her pro-wrestler step-father is the star of a reality show, nothing in her life is off limits. And if that's not bad enough, her ex-boyfriend has started calling again, and she's embroiled in a mystery that threatens to destroy the Prom!

Jones has created characters that almost jump out of the book and lounge on your couch. Sprinkled in with the seriously laugh-out-loud exploits of Bella and her friends are some touching moments. (A subplot with her six-year-old step-brother, Robbie, really got me.) Bella lives her faith in a way that is completely natural. It's part of who she is, period. She has all kinds of challenges and struggles, and she's never afraid to talk (or even complain) to God about all of them.

"I'm So Sure" is book two in the Charmed Life series. If you're looking for a series that will make you happy, this is the one. Pick up the first two now so you'll be ready when book three drops later this year. You can thank me later :+}

Review by Jill Williamson

What would you do if your stepdad made the cut for a reality TV show called Pile Driver of Dreams that will air weekly on World Wrestling Television? This is Bella Kirkwood’s latest nightmare. Not only is her stepdad wearing a pirate costume that involves spandex, the cameras are following the whole family to see how each wrestler lives. Now, Bella’s personal life—or random, not-so-true versions of it—is being splashed across weekly tabloids. Not so helpful when Bella is investigating a possible sabotage against the Truman High prom. Or when her ex-boyfriend, Hunter, and her boss, Luke, start giving her mixed signals.

As usual, Jenny B. Jones had me laughing out loud. My husband shot me the raised eyebrow again and again as I read this book, mostly during Bella’s stint as an employee at the Pancho’s Mexican Villa. This might just be my favorite Jones’ book yet. This is the second Charmed Life novel. I love the combination of humor and mystery in this series. I also really like the animals on the cover. And of course, the ache in my side when I’m done reading. I highly recommend this book for any girl, including those of us who’ve already graduated from high school and them some. Trust me, you will not be bored.

Once again Ms. Jones brought me to tears and made me laugh so hard my stomach hurt!

Bella Kirkwood just solved The Mystery of the Evil Football Players, but is she happy with just one success - no way! She is on the case again and this time Luke might not be there to save the day.

When Bella's stepfather Jake signs the family up for a reality show called Pile Drivers of Dreams Bella resigns herself to the inevitable (rather graciously - well sort of) and embraces stardom with open arms - not. The camera crew is nosy and she keeps getting interuped just when things are getting good between her and Luke, and don't even get her started on Hunter Penbrook, her snakey ex-boyfriend who has come crawling back asking for forgivness. All in all Bella Kirkwood is having a very . . . interesting . . . year.

Through all of this mayhem and confusion Bella will have to rely even more on the Lord as she solves crime and fights to be civil to her new step mother . . . is that even possible?

Filled with fun and edged with romance this is a heat-warming christian fiction book with just enough of a message to make it worth while, and just enough laughs to make it enjoyable!

My Thoughts: Whoa, what a book. I really enjoyed this one. A little less than the first one but that was probably because of the wresting angle. But it was still great. We are introduced to Bella again and her friends and family. Her life has became a national tv show. A reality show! This book is full of laugh out loud moments just like its ancestor. We are reunited with newspaper editor Luke Sullivan and her crappy ex-boyfriend Hunter. I enjoyed Luke's presence in this book very much. Of course the show makes everything look like more than it is. It catches her in some sticky situations. It catches her in misleading situations with Luke and Hunter both. I loved the family angle again. I loved the farm angle. I really liked this book a lot. Honestly, you have to read this series. I can't wait til book 3 comes out. I want it now! I can't wait to see what happens with Bella and Luke.

Overall: Loved it! Looking forward to book 3! Can it just hurry up and get published so I can devour it?? I have a feeling I'm going to like it even more than the first 2! hehe

Cover: Its cute! I love the animals on each of the book covers!

Bella's adventures in Truman, Oklahoma continue. As she starts to adjust to her new life more and more (although not without some complaining and major trials), she is thrown in the fire when even more change comes her way. Her stepdad has been accepted onto a wrestling reality show that has grabbed the attention of the nation. As a result, her personal life is on camera and in the tabloids. Her dad, in New York, gets engaged to someone Bella can't stand and she once again realizes that she can't count on her dad to be a big part in her life. She starts to get closer to her new step family, and also goes on many adventures as she writes a column for the school newspaper about working teens. Finally, the boy drama also continues. Bella fights her feelings for Luke, but also has an old flame reignited when Hunter enters her life and seems to be a changed person. Does she forgive and forget or move forward with someone new?
Once again, this book was a breath of fresh air. Bella's voice is refreshing and the comedy level was just right. Her character is loveable and laughable and the book has a good strong message but is entertaining as well.

i have been waiting for this type of book FOREVER! i mustve gone through so many badly written cliche or plainly boring chick lit books and then finally i find this! love love love. Jenny B Jones is so funny! i would lol in the middle of the book and my dad would look at me all funny but it was just so hilarious!! the plot is great, latches right onto the first book which i actually havent reviewed. Bella is such a great character with such a sense of humor! she always has a witty comment to throw back at luke sullivan. sigh. now getting to luke sullivan
hes like the prince charming the totally cute guy that bella just cant help falling for! Although i found the love triangle with hunter and luke pretty cheesy (hunter disgusts me) i still like the romance in this book! Luke is Bella's sidekick crime kicking reporter partner who always ends up rescuing her. Even though this book is technically christian chick lit it also has a mystery murder element to it! its still a very light read and very clean ( which is a relief). The only small complaint i have is that the mystery element is completely unrealistic in real life but still! its an AWESOME plot! so why does it matter?

This was a cute book. And, like the first, clean. Which is so nice, especially since this is a YA fiction book. I would actually let my kids read this book. Full of witty sarcasm. I have to say I actually liked this one better than the first book in this series. Here is my favorite part from this book. I actually laughed out loud.

"By eight o'clock it's dark, I reek like a sewer plant, and my left nostril is clogged with gunk from a horse's butt.

Easing into the car, I twist the ignition key. The engine makes a thunk, thunk. I drop my head to the steering wheel and bang it a few times. This does nothing more than dislodge more dried manure. I give it another go, and the car still won't start. Maybe my smell killed it.

I dig for my phone and call mom. No answer.
I call Dolly. No answer.
I try Jake, Budge, Linky, Matt and a few other friends-...
Nobody is home! Is the whole world gone tonight? Did the rapture come, and I missed it? God thought I stunk too much to let me in?

I close my eyes and let out a whimpery mewl."

LOVED this addition to the Charming Life series! I was very leery on the whole wrestling reality show, but it didn't overpower the entire book. Jenny Jones has done it again! Even the whole 'prom queen' debacle wasn't as 'pre-teen' as I thought it was going to be. Oh, and the addition of Hunter and his mysterious disease...priceless! I definitely wasn't expecting it and was questioning what was going on the entire time with him. Loved how it all played out though! These books also have the hint of mystery in them that I was definitely not expecting. And then once I accepted the 'sleuth' involved, it became way deeper than I anticipated ... which isn't a bad thing! Blowing up the tiara (how Miss Congeniality!) at the prom was touching. And the fact that Bella keeps getting hurt ... it adds a depth element that I was surprised with, but again, very much appreciated!

I read this book in a day yesterday (yes, it's THAT good) and look forward to reading about Bella's next adventure at the Carnival! And her hot/cold 'relationship' with Luke!

I don't think I've ever laughed so much while reading a book. The voice of Bella, the MC, was spunky, cute, and fun. Bella was a rich girl now transplanted into country life. Her little step-brother even had a pet cow. Her step-dad was a wrestler trying to make it pro so her family ended up on a reality tv show.

While camera men followed her around and splashed her 'love life' on the tabloids she became like Nancy Drew. Bella felt she was the best one to do the detective work and couldn't just leave all the fun for the police. The mystery kept the story moving and interesting while the every day life of a teenage girl like Bella kept it hilarious.

I'm So Sure was another great book in The Charmed Life series. I wish there was more at the end, but that's what book 3 is for!

I'm So Sure by Jenny B. Jones is the second book in the Charmed Life series. It is about a teenage girl named Bella. In this book, Bella is getting a big surprise. Her wrestler step dad is getting on a reality show. It is a reality wrestling show where someone gets voted off every week. Will Bella's dad win or not. Meanwhile, Bella is having her own problems with prom. Prom candidates keep getting sabotaged. Will the prom end up okay, or will it end with a bang?

I really liked this book. As I've said before, it is rare to find a true Christian Fiction book now days, and this book hits the spot. However, it has kind of the same flow as the first book. That would be a problem for me, but this book had so many new things added to it. The book also was nice because the mystery was perfect. It kept me guessing in a nice way and had the perfect amount of suspense. Her friends from the first book came back and had just as real personalities. Overall, this book was a fun read.

So far The Charmed Life series has not let me down. The first two books are witty, suspenseful, and down right hilarious. Bella Kirkland was a preppy New Yorker who always had the perfect comeback, but has slowly progressed into the country- loving, Wal-Mart shopping, detective. With the help of God and her editor-in-chief, Luke she has solved the huge mysteries around her Oklahoma high school.

Bella is struggling with a father back in New York who is planning on getting married to a Brazilian women and her demon little sister. Back on the farm, Bella is having trouble finding a job to help pay for her car and a prom dress. All the while being nearly ran over and coming close to finding death. Let's just say, she handles everything a lot better than what I could have.

I highly suggest anyone who enjoys: mysteries, city-to-country life, a little romance, Christian living, wrestling, a sense of humor, reality TV shows, and much much more.
