Dating a supervillain is hard enough...Don't let the Citadel come between you.
Since joining the Citadel, nothing is going as Aubree expected. Her relationship with Erik is strained, she’s neglecting her city, and to top it off, Defender training is kicking her butt. Going home a failure would break her heart, but staying could mean losing the villain who has always been in her corner. As torn as she feels, Aubree soon faces bigger concerns than her personal struggles.
When a dark secret comes to light, it forces her to question everything she believes about superheroes and sets her on a path to face the greatest foe that she, or the world, has ever seen. Amidst loss and shocking revelations, will Aubree find the strength to be a true hero without betraying her own heart? And can her relationship with Erik survive when heroes and villains clearly aren’t meant to be?
Kim Elliott lives in British Columbia, Canada with her husband and two busy kids. When she isn't writing, she enjoys looking at memes, eating donuts, and shopping for jeans. (That last one was a blatant lie.)
Kim loves that butterfly feeling when two characters finally realize they’re perfect for each other. She has a particular soft spot for tough guys who are secretly cinnamon rolls on the inside. If you crave that tingle of excitement when reading about two people on the verge of falling in love, her books might be for you!

"Falling" made me fall in love with the chemistry between Blue and Dr Vile and kept me wanting more!
Heart of a hero has heart! Is it possible the sequel is even better than the first? It flies high above anticipation and reads with a lightness and witty humour, while delving deep into the lives and hearts of our heroes. As the suspense unfolded i was kept on the edge of my seat laughing, crying and rooting for Blue all the way!
Spoiler alert I just knew there was more to Blue's folks than book one was letting on. And in book three the eternal optimist in me is holding onto hope we will see trusty, lovable Garrett again. Cannot wait! This series delights! Gave one to each of my favourite people, who have also caught this excitement for this hidden Blue gem. It's contagious!

I thought this was even better than the first book. I liked how the world widened from just a few characters to tons of superheroes…but I did NOT like when you-know-what happened to you-know-who toward the end. I hope there’s a way to undo that in book three!
