A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was born into a family of Star Wars nuts. I have a lot of siblings (somewhere I lost count but I think there was more than could be numbered on one hand) and being one of the young padawans I was subjected to Star Wars marathons, on a regular basis. If you've read any of my books you'll see there is often a reference to said movies as a small homage to my upbringing. May the force be with you and all that jazz.

I started writing when I realized I didn't want to grow up not believing in magic, or not believing in creatures everyone else said didn't exist. That being said, I have never seen a fairy, unicorn or dragon. I had a neighbour who swore they fed the leprechauns in their garden, but I never caught the little buggers no matter how long I lay in wait. (And consequently had to help the neighbours plant new flowers to replace those I killed waiting for the leprechauns to show their faces.)

Along the way, I found my husband who is the rock that keeps me from floating away into my dreams, and we have a little boy who is the centre of our world. Living on a farm keeps us busy (as if the writing wasn't enough) and I have more than my share of stories about wrestling with cows, helping birth calves and ending up in the creek during the process, falling in the mud (we'll call it mud but we all know that on a farm, mud is rarely mud) and chasing escaped livestock in the hopes the four legged convicts don't make it to the highway.

I've taken up archery, and the goal is to move into horseback archery in time (you know, when I can hit the target on a consistent basis) and when no one is looking, I love to bake (this doesn't happen often as it's hard to keep the sweet treats in stock with two boys in the house.)

As to what's coming next for me? More stories (since those never stop inside my head, I might as well share them with all of you!) and more adventures. Pretty much, when the fancy strikes, I'll jump on it. Leap before you look I'm sure that motto was created for me.

Or was that . . . think big and dream bigger, ready, set, pull the trigger . . . yeah. That one is a good one too. But only if you have a gun. And are hunting elephants. Which is not cool because of so many reasons. Let's stick with the first one with an addendum.

Leap before you look and let your dreams carry you on their wings. And that, my friends, is me in a nutshell.

I enjoyed this trilogy about Dominic and Sienna! This book is the final book in Dom and Sienna's trilogy (I think), and it picks up where we left off at the end of book 2 after the loss of Jordan and also Scarlett's betrayal. As she's feeling heartbroken and guilty over Jordan, Sienna begins this book angry towards Dominic. I actually liked that they had this bump in the road in their romance, as it kept the story interesting and showed Dom's undying commitment to Sienna even when she refuses to speak to him, but I was happy that they ultimately worked it out. The romance between Dom and Sienna is really sweet. Dom is totally obsessed with Sienna in this book, and I'm here for it.

I do wish that the book dove a little deeper into Sienna's character. I feel like we never really got her whole story or her background in the human world. I also feel like we didn't get all of the answers about her (unless I missed it), and I still don't know exactly what she is. Obviously her powers were very important in this book but I'm confused what she is or how it came about. I understand she can control and communicate with animals/creatures, which is really cool (I love her relationship with her horse, Havoc!), but what is she? Side note - I also missed the kraken in this. I hope the kraken is happy. I also wish we got a little bit more closure between Sienna and the female hunter (and the remaining eggs!) after that final battle.

Some of the side characters continued to shine in this. I was never really sold on Bee--her general personality and occasional jealousy of Sienna kind of irked me--but I'm glad Will got his HEA. Also, there is a heartbreaking death that I really wasn't expecting, and I think it will feed in well to the next book in the series, which I think is going to be Diana's story.

Overall, it's a great trilogy that fantasy romance readers will love. The first book will always have my heart because I legit could not put it down, but I also really enjoyed books 2 and 3 too. I would definitely recommend!

I received this eArc in exchange for a review. Thank you! Loved it.

This fell off for me which was shocking.

Possibly not as exciting and unpredictable as I expected. Someone’s ending was lack luster. Kind of expected more from that.

Smidge disappointed.

Happy reading,

This is the third book in the Alpha Territories series. I’m going to be honest I thought this was the final book going into it. It’s the final book in this main conflict, but the story will continue!

I struggled hard with the book 1 and thought book 2 was a definite improvement. I was rooting for the main couple a lot more after book 2 and can honestly I say I enjoyed them/this book. However, I still wish the book dived a little deeper into the FMC. We’ve gotten some answers about her and her power, but I’m honestly still fairly confused about what she is/how she’s able to do what she’s capable of.

I’m glad this isn’t the end of the series like I thought because there are still so many questions that I don’t think would’ve gotten adequately wrapped up.

I lost interest

I had to force myself to finish this book. About halfway through I was so bored. Plus, I don’t know what it is about the style of writing, but everything seems to move too quickly. It’s not that it’s a fast paced book, it’s like the characters stories seem to jump forward too quickly. I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s just a short book? The story apparently will continue but I have no interest in following along after this.

This is a thrilling and intense read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The book is set in a world where supernatural creatures such as vampires, werewolves, and witches, etc. exist, and they are all fighting for power and control in their realm
As Sienna and Dominic figure out their complicated relationship, they must also deal with the larger threat of a powerful Vampire King and an unknown entity.
The action is non-stop, and the stakes are high as the characters and secondary characters fight for their lives and the fate of the world.
The author’s writing is addictive, and the characters are well-developed and relatable. The romance between Sienna and Dominic is intense and passionate, and the chemistry between them is palpable. The book is a rollercoaster of emotions.

The two narrators, Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne brought a unique and dynamic dimension to the characters and the overall narrative. Each narrator skillfully portrayed each character and provided distinctive voices and tones that truly brought them to life. Very outstanding listen that I immensely enjoyed.

The Alpha Territories is a must-read series! While Sienna and Dominic story has concluded I’m very eager to read Diana’s story. There’s so much more to tell in The Alpha Territories world.

We kind of lost ourselves here and I’m not entirely sure what happened.

The book starts and gives more of a brief history of Sienna’s life which is appreciated but it is brief. Though even by the end of the book we still don’t know what she is. Jordan’s death which was a little weird initially, has rounded people up to help kill Scarlett as revenge. I’m still unsure as to why he died tbh.. I know it’s motivation to kill Scarlett as a “punishment” but at the same time, it just doesn’t feel like it’s added anything.

Bee’s transformation into a Vampire is all calm and collected after her initial changing process. No real explanation as to how she even turned when so much emphasis has been placed on vampires being born not made?

The ending seems to roll around quickly (the book is smaller for this one I believe) so Edmund and Scarlett’s death just seemed a little anti-climactic.

I like this series and it’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the keys work/ their stories but I’m a little disappointed in this ending.

It's a three star from me. The plot is engaging enough to keep an interest in finishing the series but it's not great. Just about passes average for me.
The dual pov and short nature of these books leaves little room for true character development and the plot is slim. The bones are there but no real flesh. It's entertaining enough in a pinch.
To me, these books feel quickly produced by an experienced writer. Churned out, fast. The dialogue was muddled, the world building vague and the magic system murky and unclear.
Best read all together without breaks in-between as I'm almost certain you will not remember too much of the plot picking the story up after a period of rest.

As the final book in Sienna and Dom’s trilogy, this was action packed. We had the big battle, we had more animal connections, surprise twists, and all the witty banter and cursing that Shannon Mayer is known for. She has the best conflict resolution tips like:

“Imma go kick him in the balls, and then offer to kiss the boo boo better.”

And don’t forget the old adage of:

“weepy bitches didn’t win wars.”

This wrapped up this storyline for the most part, with breadcrumbs leading into the next book in the series focusing on another character’s journey. I experienced a full range of emotions with this, even gasping out loud at the cruelty of the antagonist. Overall, a great fantasy series that I absolutely recommend.

Sienna knows a couple of things. 1. She can communicate with sentient beings 2. This is vital in the upcoming battle in the war. The only problem is, she is human in a world of immortals. How can she help fight, when she will be among werewolves and vampires?

Claimed by Fate is the newest addition to Shannon Mayer’s The Alpha Territories series, and let me tell you right now...brace yourself. This author is going to make you feel aaaaallllllllll the feels throughout this book and even more at the end. I am telling you this with eloquent calm...when you get to the end of this story...resist the urge to scream and throw your device. Try. Very hard. For the sake of your device. LOL! Trust me, the last couple of chapters...I got chills. Then when I got to the last few pages and particular dots (you’ll piece together the clues early on) are connected...I literally screamed and my tablet almost got flying lessons. LOL! Settle in because a long wait is coming, but it will be worth it!!! OMG!
So, Sienna is back! The war is coming with Edmund, and Scarlett? Well, this is where Ceelo’s famous song comes in. LOL! This book is...just...wow. It’s just wow. Sienna has some maturing to do, and she does it! It’s more of accepting the truth and owning your part in it. There will be moments of mild irritation with her, and a couple other characters, but it all works! I loved it! This book kept me page-turning, coming back for more, and left me on my knees (including my bad one) beeeeegggggging for more. LOL!
You get soooooo much good stuff with this novel, and just when you think...yay happy ending! The author says...wait! There’s more! Of course there is!! There are more loose ends to tie up! The Veil must be restored. Get excited, this book...it’s a good one and you’ll be howling for the next. Prepare for twists, surprises, steamy, and a cliffhanger. This book? **chef’s kiss**

What an absolutely GRIPPING and WONDROUS third novel in the Alpha Territories series and I loved every single second of it!

***SPOILER FREE REVIEW***

In this pulse pounding, emotionally charged narrative, Sienna, Dominic, and all their allies ready for war! Stakes are extremely high and enemies abound! There are twists galore and unique magical elements in an EPIC end battle! Nothing is held back!

I adore most every character and love to hate the baddies! And the witty, sarcastic, humorous banter is truly the best!

Some of the incredible elements and tropes within this narrative are:

- Vampires/Werewolves
- Dual POV
- Political/Court Intrigue
- Found Family
- Fated Mates
- Slow Burn
- Alpha Male
- She's Mine
- Morally Grey Characters
- Unique Magic (animal communication/healing powers)
- Animal Companions (horse)
- Prophecies

Please check out trigger warnings as there is violence and some animal cruelty (amongst other things).

I have taken a journey through ALL THE FEELS in this third novel and I'm so happy to know that even though it concludes Dom and Sienna's side of things, the storyline continues! I cannot WAIT to see what comes next!

If you enjoy paranormal romance fantasy, I highly recommend this one!

Thank you to Shannon Mayer and the Shannon Mayer Team, Erica and Kelly, for the hardcopy in exchange for my honest opinion.

The finale is here!! Claimed by Fate is the last
book in Sienna & Dominic’s trilogy in the Alpha Territories world 🥳

These two have been on a serious whirlwind, between surviving the games, lost loved ones, emerging powers, injuries, lunatic brothers … oh lord have they tackled it all!!

Despite all the twists, they are each others constant, whether they want to admit it or not 😆 the steam in this book kicked up, as did their connection. But the elephant in the room hung on through the end … who would survive this battle? And what a battle it was!

But Dominic broke me with this one: “My love, you are my reason. Where you go, I go, Starshine. Whether it be into the darkness, or into the light, I am with you.”

And with her he was ♥️ A stellar ending!! Loved this story and I’m so excited for more in this world coming soon!

Whew, what a crazy end to a whirlwind of a series! Since Claimed by Fate is the final book in the first story arc of The Alpha Territories series (there's more to come), I won't go into too much detail to avoid spoilers, but a lot of the tension from the first two books comes to a head in this one. There are a lot of big reveals and crazy things happening with side characters, and Sienna finally starts getting some answers about who she really is. We get some delicious spice with Sienna and Dominic, and they are finally able to start seeing an actual future together. Both of them grieve the loss and betrayal of friends, but they find that they are surrounded by others who truly support them. And we get the big, action-packed battle sequence that everyone has been preparing for the past two books - it's INTENSE. This series is a fun, quick read with all the good tropes plus vampires, shifters, magical creatures - its fantasy romance at it's finest!

Nothing new or of note really happens until the latter half of the book. We get long discussions at length containing information we’re already aware of and tertiary stories that are fine but not what we’re here for.

Then, she just kinda decides he’s her mate.
Like, okie dokie. Sure.
No conversation had at all about it.

She doesn’t even voice it aloud, but then the next chapter, he’s all like, ‘Get away from my mate.’
So, I guess that’s that.

The spice is pretty vanilla.
She hasn’t even let him use his fangs until now like she’s been saving it for his birthday or something.
He’s a vampire! Grow up.

Anyway. The ending was actually pretty good, if not a bit silly at times, but also promising of the next in the series.
I can only hope they get better from here.

In the wake of tragedy, betrayal, and harrowing discoveries, Sienna and Dominic have to come to terms with what they mean to one another and what that could mean for the future.

The character growth was the biggest flex in this installment of the series. I'd say that every single one of the characters has been shaped by the experiences in the books, our girl Sienna at the very top of the list. Talk about feminine strength. 🙌

And the "we might die tomorrow so, let's make the most of tonight" trope is one of my all-time favorites. 😏

I can't wait to see what else is in store for the Alpha Territories.

Three books in and I'm still not sure exactly how I feel about this series. There are bits and characters I like, but there are still those I don't. It's a quick, easy read, but sometimes things wrap up too easily. I was happy to learn more about Jordan and his relationship with Sienna; she finally seems to be accepting his choices and the reality of how it would've played out if things had gone differently in the previous book.
“Bah, blood is blood, but choosing your family, there be strength and true bonds in that too. Sometimes more.”

I'll continue on, at this point, because I now need to know how things play out in all territories.

The Alpha Territories series has become one of my favourites to read! From the first book I’ve been absolutely hooked on Sienna and Dominic’s story. It’s such a fast and fun read. I only wish we got to learn more about “the veil” dropping when it first happened. Additionally, without spoiling too much, more of Siennas past.

You do finally get some answers the first two books built up with some unexpected twists. It was an emotional rollercoaster. Fantasy Romance novels just continue to have my heart. 🥰

I will definitely reread this series in the future!

Every series has that book that just likes to make you cry…. That is this book. There is so much that happens and I need book 4.

Claimed By Fate gives you spice, love, sadness, and most importantly the inevitable war. From the very beginning I have be Team Will (as everybody should be….. there is no other right answer when it comes to who should be on the throne).

“There are so many ways to die, demon. Let me show you a new one.”

The battle was intense. It was fast paced and kept me turning page after page.

But, I am book 4 ready because I need to know about the man with the “ruby”, what Diana needs back, and the veil 👀

Give me more. Give me more. GIVE. ME. MORE.

The third (and kind of final?) book in Sienna and Dominic’s story continues with the same fast pace and intensity, but it definitely left me with mixed feelings. There were still so many unanswered questions, and at times it felt more confusing than mysterious—though maybe I just need to slow down and take it all in.

The Edmund storyline especially felt a bit off—it built up like it was going to be huge, and then wrapped up way too quickly and neatly. That said, the book was still super engaging and easy to fly through. Messy? Definitely, but entertaining.

I also think it’s weird that the series keeps going following Diana and Raven. I haven’t felt the need to pick it up and keep going.

Shannon Mayer created a gripping fantasy world that had me enraptured from the start
I enjoyed every moment of this trilogy. This book brings us to vampire Civil War with werewolf allies on the side of our hero's. Who would've thought we'd be here at the start of this series.

Claimed by Fate has perfect sizzling chemistry between the characters.
Sienna and Dominic's romance seems pretty well resolved headed toward LA happily ever after.

The next book will have a pov/ perspective switch and I can't wait to see the world grow and get shaken up further. I also can't help but hope we will see more of our favorite characters even if their story is mostly resolved. I feel like Sienna's power, though developed, is still somewhat of a mystery so maybe there will be more to that.
