What happens when the world is attacked by aliens? Learn from the women who will save the human race.

Mia is an intense girl with an old soul, starting a new marketing job in Seattle. She meets four new men who she immediately connects with. But then aliens attack and send the Earth into chaos, causing Mia and her new friends to go on the run and into hiding. An alien swarm army holds the significant cities of the world in a lockdown, forcing the governments of the world to try and take on the impenetrable alien motherships. But Mia is holding onto secrets that can save the people of Earth and bring happiness to a lost alien species. All she needs is the support and strength of her new friends to accomplish it.

Zachary, Tyler, J, and Brandon were all close friends for many years before Mia came into their lives. It was no surprise that the beautiful petite Mia with her haunting green eyes would capture their attention. But they were all shocked by her suggestion of all of them being together. And that she would claim another male too. When the aliens attack, everything is accelerated. Can they all work out their hesitation and become a family?

I beta read an early copy of Oracle: Mia, and Meg has since become a close friend of mine - which is actually really lovely. So note my personal bias within my review.

Meg has all the creative talent of a new Why Choose author. She's got the ideas; the characterisations. She knows this genre so well. Mia is a young woman who moves to Seattle, but must reckon with a larger calling when aliens attack. It's got the apocalyptic feel of The Last of Us with the WHY Choose aspects readers will love.

I was particularly impressed with the way Meg is able to weave so many characters together - and make their relationship believe able. This is her first novel, and I look forward to seeing her grow and develop further as an author.

This book was different from anything else that I have read before. It showed me that I am not a reverse harem type of girl, BUT the storyline behind it was great! The writing style was awesome and the book was actually pretty easy to follow along with, even with the multiple points of view that you follow along with. I haven't read anything with Aliens, more my husbands speed, but again having the catastrophe with them involved added to the interest factor to this book. I only rated this 4 starts because of me not liking the reverse harem, but this books storyline is AWESOME and for readers who like RH and some sci-fi, this books is a must read!

The story centres around FMC Mia (an all seeing Oracle) which was passed down the female linage of her family. Her grandmother worked with her to perfect her powers before passing away. Mia had seen vision of her harem. This is where it chucks you into the middle of it. She has just moved to seattle of start her new life/job.

Things i liked about this book -
RH - if you’re a RH girl or guy, give this book a read as so different from the others i have read.
SMUT
Aliens - who doesn’t love an ‘End of the World’ alien invasion?
J - I must admit without J I would have found this book much harder to get through.

Things i didn’t like -
The formal structure of ALL dialogue! There was no joking or banter.
The insta-love.
And lastly -
Mia.

Overall a quick read.

I've been struggling with how to write this review because I have so much to say. I'll try to simplify it. Mia, the FMC is a deeply spiritual, hippy type who's attuned to nature. From the opening, she feels like the type who draws everyone to her with her calm, positive energy. During the story, we learn a lot about her gifts from her heritage. Throughout the early part of the book, we get to know multiple guys she works with at a new job & we're introduced to some of their friends. We're given the POV of each character, so we learn each of their personalities. Early in the story it feels almost like a workplace romance.

After a major accident, the entire story gets flipped abruptly onto its head! We experience the adrenaline rush of a city in chaos & under siege from an invasion. Mia & her friends are forced to flee, ending up underground in hiding, trying to survive for the next third of the story. As a fan of sci-fi or survival type storylines, this is normally my element, but I found my reality-based brain wanting more detail about what's happening in the city & in their surroundings. I felt this section was about Mia's relationship with each of these men. I love character development, but I found it hard to focus on when I had so many unresolved questions about what was happening in the city.

The final third of the book the action hits. Everyone flees the city with a tense chase to escape. We learn more about Mia & what's happening. The last third was my favorite for sure. I don't want to ruin things, but there's a large plot that could have global ramifications & it's very exciting. We have 3 very different stories in the book. Each offers different elements to the audience. If you like spicy why choose, this story will hit the mark. There's a large cast we get to know well, but I never felt a strong connection to them. It's probably that we get limited time with each. This is one reason I have difficulty with the RH genre. Overall, this book offers a lot, so there's something for everyone, but being a Jack of all trades, it might fail to be a master of one. I think the payoff at the end makes this a fun read worth diving into for sure!

Oracle Mia

Starting off we have Mia, J, Brandon, Tyler, and Zachary. Each has their own POV. I'm not too fond of that, as it makes me lose track of who's speaking. That could just be me though. Then we have the police officers POV. Now it's getting slightly absurd. That's six POV's and some repeat the story. They don't repeat too much, so that's lovely!
As the story begins, I find I don't completely enjoy the way it's written nor how it doesn't seem to flow.
There doesn't seem to be as much detail and everyone kind of falls in insta-love.
It's fast-paced in a way that seems to skip over details.

I was super shocked at the ending. As in, it came out of nowhere. Everyone sat down and bam the end.

I'm sorry that this wasn't a good read for me, but I'm sure others will enjoy it. I know that I am not interested in reading book 2 however. I do want to thank the author and Voracious Reads for the ARC I was given in exchange for this review.

I did enjoy the read. I do like the characters. The sureness of Mia, the guys all with Their own strengths and personality. I understand the need for them to accept their roles in Mia’s life, maybe a touch fast but with aliens breathing down your neck perceptions change.
Definitely want to see what happens next.

For a reverse hareem, aliens attacking Seattle story, this was very well written. I liked the slow start in meeting most of the characters, and how confident Mia was in almost all situations. I would like to see how this story develops.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.

This book was definitely different from what I normally read. While RH and Sci-fi aren't my normal go to books, I didn't hate the story. I think for me, it was just too out there. I did like the characters well enough, but really never felt connected, and I was more bored than anything. Would I reread it, no. Would I recommend it, sure if that's your thing.

I wanted to read more sci fi this year, so what better way to do it than with a spicy one ? 😚

This is a reverse harem story with multiple POV which was done really well.

I usually find I can struggle with multiple POV but each of the characters had a really distinct voice and it was great to see inside of everyone's heads throughout.

Can't wait to read more 🤩

Loved this book. Took me a little time to get used to the female MC having multiple partners. Also, I'm not a fan of first person, but I soon loved it. I liked how each chapter was from one MCs point of view and still paced well with the story. The alien attack was good. Would have liked more, but being in first person, you would only get the MCs' point of views.

soo good
action, adventure,spice and aliens invasion?
I found Mia and her visions fascinating. She can see multiple futures/outcomes and a small change can make a big difference so she takes the lead to make sure things go smoothly which is hard to do when aliens are here 👀 I cant wait to read book 2 and follow Megan because I wont give too much away but it sounds 🔥

This was a very enjoyable read! It reminded me of a previous writers series, Anita Blake by Laurell K Hamilton, & took me back to good reads in my 20's. The main female character building her reverse harem in preparation for an alien invasion! What more can I say! A little spicier than my normal read!

DNF after 30% the FMC has no personality except she perfect. I honestly don't know how to explain but she feels very pick me girl or I'm not like other girls. THE FINAL NAIL IN THE COFFIN was she came after barely any stimulation....this book was not for me it feels like there is some more character development that needs to happen.

I really enjoyed this read! I love Reverse Harem books, but this was my first time reading one in the sci-fi genre. But it combines some of my favorite things, which are hot men, opinionated FMCs, and a dystopian-esque attack. Will gladly recommend this and can't wait to pick up the next one!

This was an interesting book. I love RH and aliens. I enjoyed the alien line in this book. I wanted more from the relationships. It was insta-love and I want a little more burn normally. I wasn’t crazy about Mia, but I look forward to reading the next book.

Great storyline, awesome writing. I've seen a good amount of scifi films, but this is a nice break and a fresh look at the genre compared to the more gritty and raw sci fi movies like alien and district 9.

The story line is phenomenal. I could have easily given 5 stars but it feels like some back story is missing. Regards I highly recommend this book.

Different.

I wouldn't normally think of alien invasion as lighthearted, but despite the action that is my overall impression here. This was very quick, with interesting characters.

✨✨✨ Oracle: Mia is the first book of Meg Strattons (@megstrattonauthor) The Oracle’s Journey series.

Tropes:

🛸 Sci-fi
🛸 Why choose
🛸 Alien invasion
🛸 Seer
🛸 Multiple POV’s
🛸 Strong FMC
🛸 Age gap
🛸 Forced proximity

This is the second book I’ve read by Meg Stratton, and I absolutely loved this story—not just because I’m a “why choose” girlie.

It’s a sci-fi tale centered on an alien invasion of Earth, where the invaders are searching for “the Seer.” We’re introduced to our FMC, Mia, who starts a new job at a marketing company. There, she meets Zachary, a cinnamon roll, and Brandon, a golden retriever personality. Both of them sense that Mia is someone special, but they each treat her differently.

Soon after, we’re introduced to Tyler, a financial wizard with a soft heart, and J, a burnt cinnamon roll. When the invasion begins, the group is forced to flee into the underground, where they meet the Captain—a daddy figure with an age-gap dynamic. Together, they must navigate how to work and survive as a team.

The multiple POVs in this story make it especially captivating, and Meg Stratton masterfully weaves a complex narrative filled with emotions and plenty of spice.

Quotes:
“Are you ticklish?” I ask, chuckling when he nods. “That’s too bad, cause these are too sexy not to touch.” As I run my hands over the washboard abs in front of me.

“Oh my god, you’re huge!” she says with shock, her jaw dropped open slightly at the sight of my rock-hard diçk. "Why didn't you tell me you had the biggest diçk I have ever seen?"
"What? Didn't your visions show you that? I ask, smiling softly at her accusatory tone.
"No, they didn't. I'm not sure you will fit." She whimpers as she worries her bottom lip
with her teeth.
"I promise you I will fit; I'll just take it slow."

“Daddy!!” Mia screams with frustration.
“Yes, baby girl?” I ask as I chuckle into my favorite new spot to tease.
