Have I read Hooky a while back? Yea.
Do I remember what happened in the last season? No.
Would I give it the highest possible rating even if I didn't remember a single thing since the beginning? Hell yea.

Miriam can publish her grocery list and I'd buy ten.

Also the COVERRRR!!

Edit: NOW they've put the cover so I don't sound insane talking about a cover when there's none lmao

“I will keep on doing my best.

We all will.

We will work together with what we have, with everything we have learned.

So that little by little, we will be able to rectify past mistakes, and create a better world for everyone.”

Even after all these years, I’m still a sappy, crying mess after Hooky. I love all of these characters with my whole heart. If you wanna read something with beautiful sibling relationships, with swoon-worthy romances, adorable friendships, characters that you’ll wanna adopt as your own, a plot that’s both lighthearted but angsty, artwork so stunning that it brings a tear to your eye, this is seriously the book for you (seriously, this review is me metaphorically pushing the book into your hands and demanding you to read it).

Methinks I should spend money on buying the physical copies even though my bank account is screaming 😌

Ohhhh this was AMAZING.

I absolutely adore this series. The friendships, the romances, the sibling bonds that are tested time and time again - it's brilliant. And I love the tension between witches and non-witches that never quite seems to favor either side. The art style is fantastic, and I just love long stories like this. The final Hooky volume takes place three years after the previous one, and it's a wonderful end to this series. I'll miss these characters.

5/5 stars!

Last year a friend of mine told me about this series. I quickly fell in love with the characters , story, and especially the art. And I just about died when I found out I'd have to wait an entire year to get my hands on the last book.

And now here we are a little less than 365 days later and I somehow got a copy before the friend who told me about the book could get one haha.

The book was awesome of course. There were some problems with it, specifically two certain characters. But everything else was amazing, especially with all the grown up characters. I feel like that really changed the tone of it.

I'm sad to see it end but at the same time I feel like everything was wrapped up very very well.

I love you Dorian and Monica 😭

A satisfying conclusion to an enjoyable series!

I don't want to discuss specific events, because spoilers. Let's just say that it ends well, and all of the pairings you were rooting for–that I was rooting for, at least–do come to pass. Because it wouldn't have ended well if they didn't.

There's also a nice echo of the opening scenes of volume 1.

On the whole, this series has lived up to its promise. Yes, there have been times when it seems like events are happening simply because the author decrees it rather than arising from the natural flow of the story or from decisions made by the characters. Tur wants to set up a particular scene, and will do whatever it takes to get the characters there. I, for one, forgive this tendency because the scenes she gets them to are so memorable. She's at her best with emotional beats and character interactions.

And the character designs are great. Some of the outfits and costumes are amazing! The artwork is a joy to behold.

Sure, it has its flaws. But the overall experience is one I don't regret for a second. Recommended!

I think I have to say this is the worst one out of all three volumes, but it was still good and enjoyable!
There were quite a few scenes that actually made me tear up lol
I can never get over every time Dorian and Dani reunite in this series, it's always so sad but cute and heartwarming. The hugs, man, the hugs! 🤚😭
The romance is quite cheesy and cringey, and many might say because it's meant for 8-12 years old, but I actually have to disagree here. In my opinion, this series doesn't seem appropriate for kids under the age of 12. It's not because of the romance, (there's only kissing in this, but it's understandable if you don't want your kid to read this because of that, because there are quite a few kisses, and sometimes the tension is a bit weird. There's also quite a few smaller cuss words used.) but because it's quite dark and gloomy and might make kids sad. This does have a happy ending though, but if it makes them sad, they may not continue on to get to the ending.
Anyways, Dorian has always been my favorite in this series and he still is, but in this last volume, Nico has made my second favorite, everyone else was either barely in it, or just felt different or lackluster.
Damien, the brother of Dorian and Dani, was okay. Unfortunately he gets worse by every volume, honestly. He seemed cool and stoic in the first volume, but by the third, he is pretty much the opposite.
Now, I love the art style in this, BUT a thing that I slightly didn't like was how older Dorian was drawn. He looked a bit too similar to Mark at times, but at other times he actually looked like younger him. It's a little bit inconsistent.
I also like how the whole series is all colored, and the dialogue text is colored for the person talking! Example, Nico is always green. Monica is always yellow. Dorian always blue and Dani always red. It makes it much easier to know who is talking, and I really love that.

I am so happy I got to finish this story for a second time!
I am also happy to be able to say that I am still utterly in love with the journey these characters took me on, watching them grow and mature while still remaining the stupid little idiots that they are deep down. I am so fond of all of them it´s not even funny anymore.

OMG.

I... I really hate where this ended up.

Okay that's not true. I liked where 90% of it ended up because it ended where it should have ended for everyone except for 4 freaking characters.

I am just SOOOO pissed that they didn't get their happy endings. That there's this stupid marriage of convenience, a marriage in title only. Why the hell couldn't they actually marry who they WANTED to marry. Like. I know why they didn't, I read the book, I just hate that it happened that way!

Still the artwork was beautiful, I was clearly interested enough to get through it. I just wish the ending was a little bit more happy for everyone involved.

A fabulous conclusion to a fabulous series. I'm telling anyone who reads this to please pick up these 3 volumes. They are so good. The art is so beautiful. It is illustrated perfectly, and you always know exactly what's going on, plus the characters!!! OMG, I love them all so much. They're perfect in every way!!! Each volume is better than the last, but they are all perfect if that makes sense. This series needs so much more recognition. Whether you're reading it on WebToon or physically, I beg ya'll, please read these.
