Didn't care for this book as much as I did the first one, and now I'm rethinking how much I actually enjoyed the first one as this one is just more of the same.

I really loved Mike Dooley's first Notes from the Universe book, and I wondered if this one would be able to live up to the first book. It definitely does!

He writes from the perspective of God, or the Universe, in a very upbeat, funny way. The book can be read cover to cover (it's a pretty quick read), or you can just randomly turn to a given page, since it's a collection of "notes" from the Universe.

The notes from the Universe remind readers that we have power over our lives by believing in ourselves and trusting in God. It's clearly a loving book, but also one that is very funny. I'll give you two examples, so you'll get the gist of his writing style:

---"Home runs are what I do. You just pitch. You want a new job, pitch it to me. You want more friends, pitch it to me. You want to lose weight, improve relationships, or strike it rich, pitch it to me. There's nothing you can throw that I can't hit clear out of the park. Now, please, hand over the bat."

---"You've done better than you know. You've helped more than you realize. And you're closer than you think. Honestly, those poor Joneses."

I recommend this book for an entertaining and inspiring read...and if you haven't already read his earlier Notes from the Universe book, I would highly recommend it as well.

"Let down your guard, go out on a limb, and take some more chances. Experiment, play, and stretch yourself. Honour your preferences, respect your wishes, and follow your heart. Practice, try, and try again. Forget perfection, think adventure, and do all these things knowing that nothing can ever be taken away from a 'forever being' " - Mike Dooley

Mike Dooley represents our Higher Power as The Universe. His writings consist of Notes of encouragement and wisdom from The Universe to all of us. Is charming and a good way to remember the important things of life. It is written simply, with wisdom and a nice bit of humor. I will read more and check Dooley's web site.

I really enjoyed splitting the book every day and reading what it had to say! I even wrote the date on the page and did a little bit of underlining.
