“You made me need you. Crave you.”

Hell to the yeah! This was amazing. AMAZING!!!

Once again, Larissa Ione has taken me to a place where a few authors have been able to. I can't really put into words or can’t even come up with a review that will do this book justice.

I loved Lore. I loved Idess. I loved Eidolon. I loved Azagoth. Gosh, I loved everything about this book!

Lore is half human, half Seminus. He was given an order from his master to kill Kynan, a Marked Sentinel and his three brother's best friend. If he failed this assignment, his twin sister, Sin, would die.

Idess is a Memitim, an earthbound angel assigned to protect the Primori, and Kynan was one of her two Primori. After waiting for two thousand years to ascend and earn her wings, failure wasn’t an option. She would never ever let anything happen to them.

Lore's task wasn't that easy like he thought it was. Idess could sense Kynan's danger and then came to protect him immediately. Moreover, his brothers warned him to stay away from Kynan. Shade and Wraith clearly said that if it came down to a choice between Lore and Kynan, they would not hesitate to choose Kynan and they would kill Lore if he made an attempt to do Kynan any harm.

In order to save everyone’s life, Idess decided to team up with Lore to find out his client and kill anyone who was behind the hire, then the contract would become void. Nobody got hurt and nobody died. They were all winners. However, the situation was far more dangerous than they thought, and there was also a price to pay if they wanted to beat these bad guys. And how could demon and angel be together?

As the story progressed, I was so excited to see things gradually fall into place and I was genuinely pleased by an unexpected turn of events. There was breathtakingly wonderful romance between Lore and Idess, lots of ingenious twists and turns, and added plenty of heart-stopping action, all packed into this great book which captured me right from the very start. And as a result, I really had a hard time putting it down!

By the way, this was the book that I felt like I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, and yet didn't want it to end. For those who love reading PNR novels, this riveting series will definitely knock you out.

Undoubtedly, this was a winner for me. Loved it!

**It is highly recommended that you read the books in this series in order.

-----------------------------------------------

“I’m risking Sin’s life by putting off what I have to do to Kynan. I’m doing that for you. Not for Kynan or my brothers. I took a knife for you. I’ve kissed you over and over when I never kiss anyone. So why the hell would I want to see you suffer?”

Her strength humbled him. Devastated him. Made him want to make her his no matter what the cost.

She’d been a survivor for two thousand years, but all that meant was that she’d existed. Now, as she hugged Lore to her, she knew that she was living.

5+ stars – Paranormal Romance

Reading one of Larissa Ione’s Demonica novels is a naughty good time, like getting a pedicure and going shopping with your best friend on a hooky day from work, eating the best Vosges or Godiva chocolate, getting flirted with at the grocery store by a hot guy when you’re in sweats and wearing no makeup, or having a happy hour with your best gal pals and laughing and talking about men and sex over Mexican martinis. Yep...Ecstasy Unveiled is deliciously wicked fun alright with a hotter-than-sin, demon bad boy hero to drool and die for!

Seminus half-breed demon Lore has been forced to act as an assassin for a powerful, malevolent master, but his latest assignment will be his toughest yet and bring him much too close to home, when he’s tasked with killing a human friend of his newly found demon brothers, who also happens to be a Sentinel guarded by earthbound angel Idess.

Idess is determined to protect her human charge so she can finally earn her wings and ascend to Heaven, and she’s not about to let assassin Lore thwart her mission, even if it means chaining him to her bed and using seduction as a weapon. But when duty and fighting turns to explosive attraction and wicked desire, can an innocent angel and a bad boy demon find common ground and work together, even as passion ignites between them?

Whew boy, did I looove Lore and want some more! He’s a dark, cynical, guilt-ridden, deeply tortured hero who’s lived a life of agonizing pain and brutal violence and been denied intimate human contact due to his gift and curse of causing death by touch, but underneath all that lurks a heart of gold, tarnished though it may be. It just takes a beautiful, sweet, kick-ass Xena-esque warrior angel to unveil his protective, romantic, loyal, and caring nature.

I love all the demon brothers: level-headed and intensely sexy doctor Eidolon, protector with a bondage fetish Shade, and my favorite snarky demon vampire and former playboy Wraith, but I think leather wearing bad boy assassin with a death touch and a soft side Lore just might be my favorite demon hottie of the pack now. Yowza...he’s just so lusciously yummy! Lore and Idess made such a sexy couple and their love scenes were steamy, yet full of vulnerability, emotion, and tenderness.

Ecstasy Unveiled is a tantalizing blend of scorching sensuality, dark, sarcastic humor, wicked hot demons, thrilling action, horrific villains, and captivating romance with a H/H that you’ll fall in love with. Ione is a master of paranormal romance and her spellbinding, imaginative world of the Demonica continues to amaze me with its refreshing creativity, sexy, intriguing, unique characters, dark wit, raw emotion, and powerful eroticism. I just wish I didn’t have to wait so long for Sin Undone to come out! Big 5 stars!

Can an angel fall in love with a demon?

Lore is another of the Eidolon’s brothers i.e. a Seminus half-breed demon and his job is to assassinate people without really caring who will be dead. He is not your usual seductive Seminus demon. Having a cursed right arm, he cannot really have sex with females and he needs to take care of himself in order not to die.

His last job is to kill Kynan the marked sentinel, ex Aegis agent and a person Lore actually likes. Unfortunately if Kynan does not die, Sin will die. Sin is his sister and the only known female Seminus demon (Sin Undone is her book and it is the book that will give a head start to the Lords of Deliverance series).

Idess is an angel and her job is to protect at any cost and with every method i.e. she is a guardian angel. She is not your usual gentle angel, she is a Memitim and she needs to earn her wings. The surprise of the book is actually who her father is.

Her last job is to protect Kynan. Tough job because Lore is really determined. The only solution is to seduce Lore and to persuade him not to kill the marked sentinel.

The scenes between Lore and Idess are smoking hot explosive. I think I developed a thing about men in chains after reading this book.

I completely loved the chemistry between Lor and Idis. This was probably my favorite couple since Idolin and Tayla. Lor is a newfound brother for the Sem brothers, half human, and has this tortured vibe that is very much like Zsadist from the BDB series. He’s been forced to become an assassin to protect his twin sister, Sin, (another great new character) and is assigned to kill Caimen. (Sorry if I’m butchering all these names. Audiobook.) The conflict in this is great because of course the Sem brothers don’t want Caimen killed, but don’t really want to kill this newfound brother either. So what are they to do? And why does the entire hospital seem to be going crazy?

Adding to the fun is Idis, the female love interest for this book, who I thought was a really neat character as an angel waiting to ascend who is charged with protecting certain important humans, in this case, Caimen. Of course, this pits her against Lor, which creates all sorts of tension. I really enjoyed the mirroring in the conflict with regards to , as well as the way the plot was resolved. This book was totally great and I look forward to book five.

Larissa Ione hit the ground running with this one, and I was along for the ride. What can I say? I loved Lore. I felt so bad for him. Ms. Ione brought him to full, vibrant life for me. I do love my assassin characters, so Lore was already in there for me. However, it was his vulnerability and his sense of loneliness which opened the door of my heart fully. I wanted to beat up Shade and Wraith for being mean to him. He needed their support, and they could hardly judge him, considering that they had some pretty unsavory pasts themselves. In fact, Lore was a bit more 'clean-cut' than both of them. Don't get me wrong. Lore is definitely a killer, but he does have a conscience. He'd rather take punishment then harm women or children. He feels a serious sense of remorse over the people he accidentally killed with his hand, which can take (or give) life with contact. It makes satiating his need for sex very difficult. Fortunately, Lore is a cambion (half-human/half-demon), so he can resort to self-gratification (which is something that the full-blooded Seminus demons cannot do). I have to admit those scenes were very sexy! I liked that he was somewhat innocent in some ways about sex (his experience was very furtive, not that satisfying encounters). He never experienced the tenderness of a true sensual encounter with someone he could touch fully and spend time enjoying.

Just when Lore is hoping that he can get himself and his sister out of the Assassin contract he has with the head of the demonic Assassin's Guild, he's given the worst job he ever imagined: He has to kill a man who he only recently restored life to. This kill will cause a serious rift in his new-found family. But, he can't refuse, or his sister will be killed instead. So, Lore is sure to make enemies out of his brothers and their family and friends. He's between a rock and a hard place.

But, he gets an unexpected ally in an Angel-in-Waiting, Idess. Idess has lived two millenia, and she's hoping she will soon gain her wings and Ascend to heaven. She must protect Primori, which are people who will have an important role to play out in the world. If she does this successfully, and lives a pure life, she can become a full-fledged angel. Her primori happens to be the man that Lore has to kill, only things shift, and she soon realizes that she has to protect Lore as well. As she keeps Lore captive and under her protection, she falls in love with the deadly assassin with a lonely heart. Things heat up between this unlikely couple, and that was nice reading. But, more importantly, I loved the bond between them. How they gave each other solace as each of them had led lives of denial. Ms. Ione did such a great job of pairing Lore and Idess. I loved them both. Idess was a tough, kickbutt woman, but also had a very warm, sweet nature. She truly believed in doing the right thing and was very dedicated to it, even with the tremendous self-sacrifices she made.

Another thing I loved about this book was the complexity of the storylines. There's not just a romance here. You see the progression of the storyline at Underworld General Hospital (UGH), which is still having problems, due to some rowdy ghosts causing damage, and an outbreak that is killing werewolves. And the real culprits behind a lot of the happenings in this book were pure evil. They made me shudder.

It was great catching up with the brothers and their mates. I really liked Eidolon in this book. Actually, I love him more and more with each book. He has a lot of qualities I admire: discipline, intelligence, honor, the ability to make peace. He is a great guy to head up this family and UGH. I do have to admit, I wanted to punch Shade a few times. He was being a jerk in this book. Although I eventually found out there was a good reason for why he was being so contrary. Lore's sister Sin is an interesting character. She's just as tortured as Lore, as the only female Seminus demon in existence (that's not as fun as it sounds). She's as hard as they come (a really tough life does that to a person), but I felt so much sympathy for her. I have a feeling her book is going to get me in the gut. Yet, I imagine I will do some laughing as she keeps her brothers (and her future mate) on their toes.

I couldn't put this book down. I know I say that often, but it's really true with this book! Larissa Ione knows how to write a very involving story. She writes very sexy stories, and the steaminess is so seemlessly integrated into the story (and not too raunchy or borderline gross). I love that she is able to have this sexy world, but have so much else going on. Her world-building is incredible, and the emotional complexity of her characters make these books fantastic reads. I find myself wanting to shake a character in one scene, and in the next, wanting to give him or her a big hug. She gives this world of demons and angels some heartiness. This is paranormal romance that I think a horror or dark fantasy fan would eat up if they took the plunge. The settings and places in these books are so vivid, I feel like I'm there (which isn't always a good thing). She's not afraid to add some blood and guts when it's warranted, but it's done tastefully. There are a lot of layers here, with demons who are good and angels who are bad, and the other way around. Yet, she hasn't abandoned classic ideas of the supernatural world that have a lot of power for me; but managed to tell her unique stories and integrate those into it very well. I am so glad that I read Pleasure Unbound and found this world she's created. They make for some hours of true reading enjoyment. Thanks for the awesome reading experience, Ms. Ione!

This is the series that keeps on giving and I’m really enjoying experiencing this all over again. It’s been twelve years since my first read so this does feel like I’m getting a complete do-over and getting to feel the magic all over again with completely fresh eyes.

This one focuses on Lore and Idess, he’s the half-human assassin brother that Eidolon Shade and Wrath had no idea existed. He comes with a special unicorn a twin sister who is also half seminus demon and being a girl she shouldn’t exist. Both are paid assassins enslaved to a cruel master and Lore’s latest assignment from this slaver forces him into a situation that directly affects this newly discovered family and non-compliance with his contract will mean his sister's life. Idess is a Memitim an earth-based future angel that has yet to earn her wings. She’s a protector and a watcher and her latest charge is Kynan the very marked sentinel and charmed one that Lore has been tasked by his master to take out.

This was again an excellent read this series just keeps on getting better. As this world progresses it becomes apparent just how extensive it’s becoming. There is so much going on here and as it expands further and opens up there is so much scope for further progression. I’m extremely impressed with the intricacy and detail used and the world-building is some of the best I’ve experienced to date.

Lore and Idess as a couple are just perfect together. He’s such a lonely figure of a man. His seminus gift means he’s kept himself purposely separated and though he puts on a decent game face he’s crying out for some basic human affection. Idess is more than a match for him and though she’s taken a vow of celibacy due to her potential angel status she can’t seem to stop herself from wanting Lore. What starts as two adversaries with conflicting goals swiftly morphs into an alignment and shared agenda as they work together to force a different outcome one where nobody gets to die except their mutual enemies.

This was well written fast paced and really brought the goods. These two had plenty of explosive chemistry together and I was also excited at all the breadcrumbs this dropped and all of the little side plots that make this series so addictive. I definitely recommend reading and it’s one of my favourites.

The 4th book in the amazing Demonica series and guess what? I EXTREMELY enjoyed it! Didn't disappoint me, and i think this series never will.

Lore and his twin sister Sin have been enslaved by the demon Detharu for years, forced to act as assassins on his behalf. Lore has finally been offered a chance to escape though, he just has to make one final kill and then he will be free. Failure is not an option, especially when the penalty would be the death of the sister that he would do anything to protect.

Idess is an angel who has been tasked with protecting certain humans to earn her wings. It just so happens that the human Lore has been hired to kill is the one that Idess must keep safe.

Lore and Idess may be on opposing sides but the attraction between them is instant and intense, can they find a way for them both to get what they so desperately want or are they both doomed to fail?

“His gaze slammed into hers. 'I love you. Never forget that. Never forget...me.'
He loved her. Emotion bubbled up in her throat, leaving her voice completely wrecked. 'Never,' she rasped.”

Idess and Lore's relationship was kinda the forbidden type. They were supposed to be enemies and Idess was supposed to kill him but something happened and everything turned upside down. Their relationship is beautifully written, and the ending was so painful! My heart was literally crying out for them.

What i thought of Lore?: I fell for Lore completely reading his story, he's such a sexy demon! A stone cold killer with a heart of gold he is totally swoon worthy. I felt sorry for him throughout the book, everyone (except Eidolon) hated him and blamed him for everything bad that happened.

And Shade! Omg! He was such a dick! I was like...

What i thought of Idess?: I didn't specifically ADORE her. She was a likable character, just not lovable. Idess was a virgin and after reading the 3rd book in this series about Serena being a one, i'm frankly getting sick of them.

First and foremost Idess is a fighter who will do whatever it takes to protect her charges, even if it means resorting to underhand measures to achieve her goals. She is prepared to give up everything she has ever dreamt of to keep Kynan safe and you have to admire her for that.

Overall Ecstasy Unveiled was a fab read!

As usual, Larissa Ione managed to captivate my heart and imagination with her stunning writing and complex characters. If you love steamy hot romance books then this is definitely a must-read. I recommend this especially to fans of J.R Ward - you will inhale this series guys! :)

Plot: Lore, an enslaved assassin has to kill Kynan or his twin sister will be killed. Seems like an easy job to Lore, except Kynan has a guardian angel, Idess and if her charge dies she won't get her angel wings.

Lore was a great character, chill and very go with the flow, deadly, and so vulnerable. I loved his vulnerability and desire to be loved, have family more than his sister. His demon gift is the power to kill with a touch. No one but his siblings are immune to his killing touch. That has kind of put a damper on him having a budding social life, and that he's an enslaved assassin.

Idess is a pre-angel. If she keeps all her charges she's guarding alive & doesn't break any rules she gets to ascend to heaven and receive her angel wings. Unfortunately, Lore is trying to kill off her charge and she's way attracted to him. The captor scenes were cute. I liked how sweet and naive she was about romance and evil, but not in a let her fall off a cliff way.

Possibly my fav book of the Sem demon family.

Dear Lore,

If I didn't love Annie so much, I would definitely steal you from her and hide you away somewhere she would never find you. Alas, my love for her stops me from abducting you. I know you are upset about this. Try not to be too crushed by this loss.

Besides, I don't think I could handle Shade's jealousy anyway.

Hugs Not Drugs,
Leah

This book has been the most emotional one for me thus far in the Demonica series. Ecstasy Unveiled has pulled my emotions all over the place with all the emotional ups and downs, what I like to call The Emotional Rollercoaster. As a result of the emotional turmoil I suffered while reading this book, it is, ironically, my favorite of the series.

At this point, Lore and Idess are my favorite couple of the Demonica series. Shade is still my favorite of the Sems, with Lore at a very close second, but these two are my favorite couple. I loved the banter between them, the relationship they developed, the sacrifices they made for each other, and I just all-around loved them. Lore, I already liked from Passion Unleashed, despite the fact that he was trying to move in on Gem and wanted Kynan dead. I would be lying if I said I wasn't pissed at him in the beginning of Ecstasy Unveiled when he went after my Ky but I have since gotten over that. Obviously. There is so much more to him than meets the eye and I loved seeing his vulnerable side alongside his fierce side. And I loved that only Idess seemed to be able to calm the rages he would go into. Now Idess, she's definitely the best heroine of the series so far. I loved her right away and she was surprisingly awesome for an angel. And I loved that. A lot of times when you read about angels, they are the insane do-gooder types who do no wrong and refuse to admit they feel lust, but I loved that Idess was sassy, sexy, confident, and did or said whatever she wanted. And when you put these two fantasmic characters together? Well, there isn't words. Suffice it to say that they rocked.

As always, I loved seeing Shade, Wraith, Eidolon, their mates, and the adorable babies. However, I hated what was happening to them because of that bastard Roag and the fucker Rariel. Thank goodness everything is fixed with them and they finally accepted Lore into their family. Oh, and of course I adored seeing my Kynan, even if I did want to strangle him, and Shade, a couple of times. Naturally, I hope to see all of them in the next book, Sin Undone.

Thank fuck Roag and Rariel are destroyed. Hell, add Detharu to that list too. I wish I could have killed them myself for everything they did to Lore, Idess, the Sem brothers, the Sem mates, and the babies. What kind of sick fuck messes with poor, innocent babies? Thank goodness poor Rade wasn't killed.

I liked the introduction of Sin in this book. I'll admit, I didn't care for her too much in the beginning, but I really do like her now and I can't wait to read her book. Also, I loved the intro to her relationship with Conall. Now that he has to hunt her down, it should be interesting to see how their relationship develops in Sin Undone.

Like I've said, this was a fantastic book and I'm glad I read it. On to Sin Undone! I'm sad, though, to see the series coming to an end.

Oh! And, hey, Annie, maybe we can work out some kind of visitation schedule for me to see Lore? Think about it and get back to me.

^^I DON'T HAVE THE WORDS!^^

What can I say, what can I say. I love this series, I love this book, and would be willing to make some questionable deal with the devil for a little bit of Lore. I love me some Sem boys, and this book was all kinds of explosive. I don’t know what it says about a person when you are willing to go head to head, with four brothers. I would take them all on, they are so delicious, soooo “mmmm, mmmmm good”.

I don’t want to spend too much time explaining what this series is all about, but here is the short version. Sexy brothers, a hospital, and some really evil things. This is all about demons my friends, seminus demons, all walking talking sex. We get Lore’s HEA in this one, another brother introduced in the mix in book three. Lore has got some baggage, he is an assassin and has just been ordered to kill someone, and if he does it will forever put a wedge between him and his brothers.

In comes angel in waiting Idess, really…. I don’t know if I like this woman for Lore. He is so super awesome and she is sort of mediocre as a heroine. I thought someone with a little more personality would have been perfect for him. Idess is far from a simpering heroine, but I wasn’t really feeling her. Her family history is a bit interesting, and the bad guy and her go way back. I totally never saw it coming, what an asshole.

UGH is a big deal in this book, but lets be real “General Hospital” is a big deal all over, and nope not the soap opera. The hospital run by the sexiest brothers around is falling apart, and it looks like it could be the end of the bros. I am not gonna pretend that the demon I want to get up close and dirty with wasn’t being a complete asshole. Shade, really grinded my gears in this one, he grinded them hard *winks*.

Long story cut short. There is destruction, mayhem, and the sexiest potty mouth demon/human character ever. Lore defines my dirtiness and we would blow minds together. There is twist to the series in this one, good/bad that is left to be seen.

Lore oh Lore, I would give you things. I want to be words in these books, sexy words.

READ THIS SERIES! I KEEP TELLING YOU GUYS IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND.

Characters: Interesting & hand crafted.
Plot: I wouldn’t have dream it up.
Page Turner: Sure
Series Cont.? Yes

Book Boyfriend: Lore, but honestly he’s my second choice

SUMMARY (60 word or less)

I’ve been looking forward to Lore. He intrigued me in the last installment. But I have to admit, he wasn’t as edgy as I pictured him to be. He’s still great. But I think my favorite is still Eidolon. The cliff hanger and the guy that holds my heart are the focus on the next. Looking forward to it.

Audio Review
Paul Boehmer seems like he would be a fantastic narrator. However, I didn’t feel his abilities suited this particular story. He didn’t have enough menace for what I felt the main character should have. Don’t get me wrong. I didn’t feel as though it was money not well spent getting this audio book, I just thought I’d rather hear him read a different story. He is a very good actor and all the feelings came through. I just thought it was Mr. Robinson reading West Side Story. A little too proper or nice and not gritty enough. Oh, well. I still recommend listening. It wasn’t as bad as some have said.

HA! , You want to hear something completely stupid on my behalf? I hoped on the computer this morning with the sole purpose of writing this review. But like usual got distracted with everything else that was happening on GR. After about an hour, decided to hop off and start my day. It wasn't until I had turned off the computer and was half way through making my bed when the thought occurred to me that I had forgotten to do something. Needless to say that the string of curses that followed there after should not be repeated. So now, here I am again, trying feverishly to not get distracted!!

Heaven help me.

This was my FAVORITE book in the Demonica series so far. Going into this book I was a little put of about Lore. Yes, we met him in Wraiths book, but I just didn't feel the love for him.

Oh but how I changed my mind. Lore and Idess were unstoppable! I am finding that this Demonica series is only becoming more engrossing with each book. You get a sense of genuine feelings from all the characters and theRE was never an instance of eye rolling anywhere.

The sex scenes are scorching! with so much emotional intensity that it just pulled at my little old heart strings.

HUGE KUDOS to Ms. Ione for accomplishing a style of writing that very few authors can do. Bring on book FIVE!

My heart goes into pitter-patter mode when I think of the Demonica series by Larissa Ione. Hot demons, great action, humorous and the kind of smut that makes you break out into a sweat. Ecstasy Unveiled did not disappoint – I was completely entertained throughout the story.

Lore is a Seminus demon who needs sex to survive, problem is, if anyone touches his glyphs or “dermoire” on his right arm, they drop dead instantly. Kind of a buzz kill in the bedroom. In the previous book in this series, Passion Unleashed, Lore discovers he has more family than just his sister Sin – he has three brothers – Eidolen, Shade and Wraith. While Lore's problems in this book involve his brothers, they also have their arms full with violence and tempers erupting at the hospital for no obvious reason.

Lore brought back to life Kynan, a good friend of his brothers in that book, and Lore’s boss, Detharu, who Lore “works” as an assassin for is none too happy Lore gave life. Which means Lore is in for some torture and of course he doesn’t make it any easier with his smart-ass mouth.

Lore has one more kill to make, his 100th, before he is released from his slave status which will allow him and Sin to go free. Deth is not going to make it easy on him though. Deth gives him one last assignment to kill – with the twist of – if he does not achieve his goal in 96 hours, Sin will die – and let me just say, the person he has to kill is going to make things very difficult for Lore – very difficult.

Idess, a 2000 year old Memitim or guardian angel, is looking forward to the day she can finally ascend into heaven. She currently has two Primori, kind of like charges, she is looking after. Idess has not been the perfect angel, but she has taken a vow of celibacy and tries to live a moral life so she can fulfill her destiny and finally reunite with her brother Rami who is awaiting her. Before that can happen, Lore and Idess are both put to the test as Lore is assigned to kill one of Idess' Primori. They are forced together as both their fates become entwined.

Ecstasy Unveiled is such a fun book to read. Larissa Ione writes very engaging characters and once you get inside their head and you can’t help but cheer them on, laugh with them, and err, get a little excited when naked time comes.

With four brothers running around, although they are each very alpha, they each have their own personalities and each being a smart ass definitely adds to the enjoyment. One of my favorite scenarios is brotherly comraderie, similar to the Black Dagger Brotherhood books by J.R. Ward. When a group of brothers live, or in this case work together, fight together, banter and deep down love each other with an intense passion, it becomes a great atmosphere.

Lore is a tortured demon – both physically and emotionally. He has been enslaved to Deth for years and years and killing has become a way of life for him. For being a sex demon, he has lived a remarkably lonely life, choosing to take care of his needs himself, rather than risk killing a female partner with his cursed right arm. He grew up with a human mother and had no idea his father was a demon, until he turned 19 and became a raving lunatic. Sin transitioned at the same time, but Lore wasn’t there for her, and he has been punishing himself ever since. He would do anything to protect his sister, even killing someone that he knows will rip his brothers apart.

I think the weakest part of the book is Idess, which surprised me because I always love Larissa Ione’s heroines. Idess comes across as a mild mannered, meek angel, yet when her charges find themselves in danger she rushes in full force and is someone to be reckoned with. It is almost like I forgot she is suppose to be a bad ass angel - her personality just didn’t seem to go with that side of her. It takes a few chapters to warm up to her but then I was rooting her on. She has really good chemistry with Lore and they have some smoking hot love scenes – which I am sure no one doubted because we are talking about Larissa Ione here. Idess is 2,000 years old and hasn’t had sex for QUITE some time..so when the two of them come together, it is very explosive.

Sin steals the show in this book. She is cranky, doesn’t want anyone in her life but Lore (at least she won’t admit it), is blunt, has massive attitude and just all around a bad ass. Her “gift” is that she can cause disease by just touching someone. She diseases a warg (werewolf) and that disease starts to rapidly infect the warg community. Sin’s book is next in the series, although we get a sneak peek at her and her mate. They have amazing chemistry, even though they kind of hate each other at the moment. Sin and Wraith also have some chemistry of their own:

“Easy there, Smurfette.
Smurfette? “Move.”
”No.”

She hit him. Put her knuckles right in his perfect nose. He didn’t even flinch, and she got the impression he could have stopped her if he’d wanted to. Instead, he grinned, those wicked fangs gleaming. “You hit like a girl.”

She gasped in outrage. “I. Said. Move. I’m going to find my brother.

He snorted. “If I can’t find him, you don’t stand a margarita’s chance at an AA meeting.”

“Y-you arrogant ass,” she sputtered.

“It’s not arrogance if you can back it up.”

She was going to kill him. She really was.

There is a lot that goes on in this book – I have barely touched on it, but you all will have so much fun discovering it all on your own. Although the main mystery is wrapped up in this book, events are put in motion for Sin Undone and I am already itching for this book.

I will leave you with a little teaser – Idess is chained up on the bed (nothing sexually, they are having some kidnapping issues) and Lore needs release, you know sex demon issues and all that.

“Need…privacy.” He shoved to his hands and knees above her.
“No. Please. Stay.” He halted. “I want….I want to watch.” […:]
A low growl of approval dredged up from his chest as he unzipped his pants.
Lore couldn’t believe he was about to do this………..

Oh and he does it…quite well.

Why this pic? **shrugs** Uh. There are a lot of chains in this book?

★★★★☆ (This is a review of the audiobook.) I know I’ve heard Paul Boehmer narrate before, I just can’t remember which book. Or maybe it’s that his voice rings a bell from all the movies and T.V. he's been in. I can swear he did the voice of a robotic or artificial intelligence entity, because that keeps tickling the back of my mind.

Nevertheless, I like his sexy voice while reading the forth installment of Larissa Ione’s risqué Demonica series. I think he does a really nice job on the pauses and pacing, too. He differentiates the male voices oh-so-nicely, especially during the sex scenes and when Lore, the hero, goes ballistic. (Now what does that say?) I'm not crazy about his female voices; he gets the “inflection” wrong for them in some situations. On the other hand, at least he doesn’t make the mistake of using a falsetto. Another thing on the plus side is he delivers the snarky insults between characters with the perfect touch of humor.

And Ms. Ione does write snarky risqué in Urban Fantasy divinely, if that’s the right word to use for a series about demons. I’ve never heard the expression “...as much as it bit dick to be chained up...” but it was placed in the perfect scene. If you want some witty buzz-words and phrases in an action-packed imaginative world, then this is the book for you. Yes, it goes a little dark sometimes, but most of that is in recapping a character’s history, so you don’t have to go through it in present-tense-land.

We had some polar responses by the people in my “buddy read.” They either loved this book, couldn’t get into it, or were ready to stop here in the series. This one is certainly more Urban Fantasy and than Paranormal Romance, so consider that before indulging.

I’ll admit that I wasn’t sure I liked Lore; I waffled for awhile. But then, most people would probably take a while to warm up to an assassin Seminus half-breed demon, right? I kept trying to figure out what his Ufelskala score* was. I felt hot and cold toward him until almost the half-way point of this book. I probably warmed up to him after he started using the term “angel” as a term of affection toward Idess, instead of as an insult.

I did like Idess, a Memitim - or a “born” angel - so she’s not quite an angel (hence, Lore’s insult). She and Lore have several things to overcome; she guarding someone he’s contracted to kill. Oh, and she taken a vow of celibacy to make amends for her scandalous past. I had something figured out way before she did, but then, I’m sure Ms. Ione did that just so I would feel good about myself.

In addition to all this, there are a lot of returning characters and quite a bit of time spent on Sin, Lore’s fraternal twin, and her future-mate, Connall, a dampire**. This is more than an introduction; it is a must read before reading their story, Sin Undone, fifth in this series.

I think Miss Ione writes an interesting story in an original world, with several H.O.T. sexual encounters. I thought she was going to wimp-out near the end; I should have know better.

*According to The Demonica Compendium (which is free on Larissa Ione’s website), a Ufelskala score is “a number ranging from one to five on the scale of evil, with a score of five being the evilest of the wicked.”

**Dampire: half warg, half vampire.

STILL FUCKING GLORIOUS.

The story centres around Lore, half human/ half Sem demon who’s working as a assassin. His next job leads him to Idess, an “angel in training”, who’s job is to protect the person Lore is contracted to kill.

And the EVERYTHING happens!

The story has multiple POV’s so we get the feels from everyone. And it’s just perfect. I am normally not into too many POV’s, but this book would not have been the same without it, and I adore these characters.

It was simply outstanding storytelling.

And Lore was just so 😍🤤
And Idess was just so 🤗💗
And the 3 brothers were just so 😎😈😱
And Sin was just 😅💪💋

I loved it 👏🖤😈

I love doing rereads of books I loved. This one is no exception. I think I loved it even more the second time around. ECSTASY UNVEILED is such an amazing book, this entire series is amazing.

I already said it but I'll say it again, I absolutely adore Larissa's writing style and this spectacular universe she created. Reading her books is always a pleasure, they transport me into this world where everything is possible and where sexy-as-hell demons exist.

I love all the characters in the Demonica/Lords of Deliverance series, they're all amazing and reading once more about Lore and Idess was perfect. They're such a great, beautiful, sexy couple. I need more of this in my life.

Their story is poignant, there are so many things going on in this book and yet it doesn't feel like it. Larissa did an amazing job with the plot, there was the perfect amount of everything. I loved that we got to see a lot of each brother, Eidolon, Shade, Wraith and Kynan (and Sin!).

I adored Lore and Idess's relationship. It was beautiful, funny, hot and not even a little bit frustrating. It was the perfect pace, not too fast and not too slow to develop. Thank you Larissa for that!

Lore is a pretty great character, I fell in love the first time and a little bit more the second time. He's such a bad ass, selfless, caring guy. He loves his sister deeply and wants what's best for her. I loved their relationship actually. He's an assassin and good at it. His last mission, the one who will free him and his sister from their master, is to kill Kynan (Gem's husband and if you've read the previous books, you know him). And that is how he meets Idess.

Idess is quite the woman (or angel) as well. She loves what she is and she cannot wait to ascend and go to Heaven but, in the meantime, she has people to protect. And she's dedicated to her job. She's very close to ascend but for that to happen she needs to protect Kynan from getting killed and there is one Seminus Demon who is hell bent on accomplishing that task.

I just love them. The way they met, how their relationship evolved, everything was perfect. The chemistry between them was palpable and holy shit, the sex scenes were scorching hot. Seriously!
Anyway, I loved absolutely everything about this book. The characters (the secondary characters were as good as the main ones), the entire story, the romance...just everything.

Wow, another great book in the Demonica series. Ms. Ione manages to write sexy fun stories that keep me on the edge of my seat wondering what is going to happen next.

Lore is a half Seminus demon half human assasin. He owes one more kill to his master before he is freed from a contract he entered into to help his twin sister Sin. The problem is that the target is a friend of his three newly found demon brothers but with the only other option being his sister's death, Lore goes after Kynan where he runs into a problem - a big angelic problem.

Ideas is a Memitim, a born angel. She has been on the earth for two thousand years acting as guardian to humans important to the fate of the world while she waits to earn her wings and entry into heaven. She is summoned to Kynan's side when he is in danger, where she runs into the dangerous and sexy Lore.

I don't want to give away spoilers for this series because it's fun to see how everything unfolds. Lore and Idess's story was full of action and romance. The evolving storyline of the demon brothers (and sister) is nice to see. I enjoyed Lore and Idess as a couple, the sexual tension was very hot because they couldn't act on their attraction for a long time.

If you enjoy fast-paced, sexy and edgy paranormal romance with a dash of humor, check this series out! I have enjoyed reading all four stories and can't wait to see what happens next!

Lore is in a bind. He has to kill his target otherwise his sister Sin will be killed, but by saving his sister he will lose the brothers he has just found, and worse he will have to kill his target's beautiful protector Idess to do it. But who is setting this impossible situation up, tearing up the Sem brothers and dragging the UGH down into choas.

This was a great installment in the Demonica series, Lore and Idess were a fab couple. Idess is actually my favourite female in this so far, she was tough but gentle, and thought things through before she did them. I loved learning more about Lore as well, he was stuck in an impossible situation and was still trying to do the right thing. Plus he was MEGA HOT, and had a tongue piercing *drools*

Although I think that it was slightly predictable, it was fairly obvious who the bad guy was, I still enjoyed the plots various twists and turns. This book also set up a bit of Sin's story and introduces you to Conall, the silver eyed dhampir who is yet another hot male I can't wait to read about!

What I really like about this series is that it keeps showing you previous characters and how the Sem brothers try and stick together and keep the hospital going. I am especially falling in love with Eidolon, the male just keeps growing on me! He is now a King of the Harem!

Anyways on to the last in the series!

Do you know how sometimes you don't like a book because you had so high expectation for it that once you get to read it you are not able to enjoy it as much as you would have like to?
Well that was so NOT the case with this book. I had higher expectations for it than for any other book I had in my TBR pile, and let me say that it was a huge 5 stars rating!

As all the other books in this series, this 4th installment does not disappoint. I was hooked since page one, it only took me less than a day to read it all.

I don't wanna make it long because so much has been said in other reviews, but let me just say that what it is so amazing about these books is that it's not only the romance in them that hooks you until you have read all the pages in them, but everything else that goes around. These books are not only paranormal romance, because Larissa Ione has been able to create a world from which you won't wanna be sucked out. She's just an amazing author who knows how to write things you want to read, it's not only what she writes, but how she does it. Her books are so different from everything that is out there that you will ask yourself why haven't I read her work before.

If you haven't started with this series yet, what are you waiting for?

Lore is an assassin and we met him back when he was being paid to kill the Seminus brothers. Who also happened to be HIS brothers, but he didn't know that at the time. It's all water under the bridge... sorta. Because his latest task is to kill Kynan — you know, the guy he saved in the last book. Doing so will alienate his newfound family, but not doing it will see his sister destroyed. Oh, and Kynan is protected in more ways than anyone knows. How is Lore to complete his mission when a gorgeous angel is standing in his way?

Idess is that angel. She's an almost-angel tasked with protecting her primori and Kynan is one of them. But someone out there is targeting her charges and there is so much more to this plot than even I expected. I was thrilled with the forbidden element to what Idess and Lore shared and I was entertained by this book right up until its last page.

Ever get so distracted by the story that when a twist comes up that you should have predicted but didn't, all you can do is shake your head and laugh at yourself? Well, that was me. I knew something was coming, but the author wrote this story in such a way that I was wholly enamored with the characters and forgot to suss out the twist that knocked me on my ass.

In the end, and I'm sorry if this spoils it for anyone else, but I'm glad Roag got just what he deserved.

2011 Re-Read

Ahhhh My absolute favorite Sem brother! Lore is all tattooed and pierced and dangerous, and just sooo yummy!

The little bit we saw of him in the previous book led us to believe he was an assassin, but forced into that situation, somewhat of a slave to his Master, and in big part he's done this for his sister Sin.

After trying to make small attempts to connect with his Sem brothers, he is now put in a really bad spot. He's been assigned to kill Kynan. Except Kynan now has a sort of a guardian angel, the beautiful Idess.

But when Idess is then assigned as Lore's guardian as well, it can become a pretty difficult situation... which is why she has the bright idea of tying him to the bed! ;) What? Can't blame me if I think the girl has wonderful ideas!

While trying to protect both Kynan and Lore, she has a werewolf to protect as well, and that was Sin's target. Except Sin is almost successful with her kill, but by doing that she's unknowingly infected pretty much the whole species!

Lore is hot, Idess is one of my favorites in this series, I love the sweet names he calls her all the time (Cookie, Angel Cake, LOL) the Sem brothers are still around and fighting evil, the storyline is great, with constant new developments, and the next book was setup wonderfully.
"This remains between us, right?"
"As long as you don't piss me off. You gonna piss me off?"
"Every chance I get."

This book is about the new found brother of Eidolon Shade and Wraith ,Lore , half breed assassin (hAlf human/half sem demon) and Angel in training Idess. She is in charge of protecting Lore's next target.
The first meet in explosive! Idess is a badass woman,i loved her character so much.
Lore doesn't want to really harm nobody, especially if the consequences will ruin this fragile new found relationship with his brothers, but he has no choice , or his twin sister will die, on top of that his "gift" is nothing like his brothers and forces him at a life of loneliness .
Lots happens in this instalment, an old enemy wreaks havoc again and disrupts the bonds the sem brothers have. I was pretty upset when I thought Eidolon and Shade are over😥😥.
Lore is a good guy, he just needed a strong female to show him that. Their relationship was pretty insta-y but it didn't really bothered me. Also new characters again! Yayy!! 😏😏
As I said before, I love the smut and this hot males but I m here for the amazing plot this author created and kickass action.
Next -Sin& Con- here I come❤

I’m going to give this one a 5- Star rating because Lore was a master assassin with a heart of gold(just don’t let him hear you say that) and Idess was a badass warrior also with soft center.

Reading about these two just gave me joy and amongst all the other messed up things that happened both to them and their people in this book, they still managed to give me joy.

Next, is Sin’s book !
