Imagine that Stepan Chapman, M.C. Escher, Albrecht Durer, and Salvador Dali were locked in an underground dungeon with an infinite amount of art supplies and only LSD to eat. Suddenly, a wayward creator-god shows up with a genetic splicer set to randomize the mixing of species and common objects, creating before the artists a set of real-life models from which they might take inspiration.
Codex Seraphinianus is a natural history of the surreal, a book that truly defies categorization. It is reminiscent of the old Harper's Magazine Travelers Companion, a 19th-century anthropological survey, a modern biology and environmental science textbook, and a series of travel brochures. The asemic script that runs throughout merely heightens the strangeness of the volume. The language seems familiar, but is utterly alien. There's obviously something being explained, though one is never quite sure what.
Sections in the work display flora, fauna, environmental or biological cycles, mechanical systems, modes of transportation, modifications to human anatomy, different forms of dress and dwelling places of what one must assume are more primitive peoples, a taxonomy of human heads, maps, pictures of notable places and historically-significant events, and costumes of whatever culture is being represented.
The wonder of this book is that it doesn't constrain the reader with any kind of imposed narrative. You are free to interpret the drawings and text in any way you like. Here, there are no wrong answers and the representations merely serve as stepping off points for the imagination. Getting to the end of the book, one finds that it is just a beginning. And isn't that one of the finest compliments that can be given to a book?

ثعابين مشوية على ذراعك..تحب تدوق ؟
لا تحبها ؟
طيب تحب اننا نقدس الثلاجة و نتفرغ لها تماما؟و نرقص حولها ليلا لعلها تتعبأ ذاتيا؟
هذا الكتاب سيجبرك على ان تتذكر السؤال الازلى الشهير : الفيلم ده قصة و لا مناظر؟
هنا لا اعدك الا بالمناظر و المزيد من المناظر و 380 صفحة من الرسوم الغراءبية و سطور بلا حدود بلغة لا يفهمها مطلقا إلا كاتبها ..ستستفز فيك الجانب الاستكشافي و ستتقمص شخصية شامبليون الذي فك رموز الهيروغليفية. .ثم في النهاية ستقعد على جنب و انت ساكت كمدا
ستتذكر شفرة دافنشي و ستاتي بمرأة يمكن تفهم ..لكن غيرك بيحاولوا من 38 سنة
عندها ستعيد النظر للرسوم بتلك المخطوطة السيرافينية و هي اقرب لكتاب أحياء و تشريح احيانا
يبدأ بالخلية. .ثم النبات ..ثم الاسماك و الطيور و الحيوانات و لكن هل كل المخلوقات طبيعية ؟ بالطيع لا لا لا . ما هو باربعة اطراف رسمه بطرفين او ثلاث رؤوس او مقسما و ما هو بطرفين رسم راسه تحت او وضع مكانها بكرة خيط او جعل ذيله مثل الكابوس
و ماذا لو وضعنا صنبور للبطاطس المسكينة دوما؟ اكيد هتنزل جزر طبعا
اي انه لاشيء طبيعي مطلقا في المخطوطة
انه العالم بعيون لويجي..عالم متكامل له منطقه و لو ركزت في الرسوم الاولى ستعرف مصيرها في النهاية
الكاتب لديه عقدة خاصة من الثعابين و الأسماك و البيض و الايادى و الذيول
سنجد ايادى عملاقة منفردة او ايادي متحولة لمطارق و اقلام
اعتقد ان لويجي ضد تنميط البشر و تهميش اختلافاتهم و تحويلهم لالات صماء حسب الحاجة و كذلك استخدامهم لتحقيق امجاد كاذبة
و للالمام بكل المعلومات الضرورية عن الكتاب الأغرب و الاغلى. .ارجو قراءة مراجعة ممتازة شاملة للكتاب من الصديقة نادية احمد

نسخۀ واينيچ
در اوايل قرن بيستم دلّالى به نام "واينيچ" به كتابى حاوى علوم غريبه و طالع بينى و گياه شناسى دست يافت كه در قرون وسطا نگاشته شده بود و به نام خودش "نسخۀ واينيچ" نام گرفت. اين كتاب به زبانى غير از زبان هاى شناخته شده و با الفبايى رمزى نوشته شده بود كه حتى با تلاش نوابغى مثل "آلن تورينگ" كه رمز دستگاه "انيگما"ى نازى ها را شكسته بود، همچنان رمزگشايى نشده است. اين كتاب به تازگى چاپ و منتشر شده است.
كتاب حاضر
"نسخه ى سرافينى" كتابى است طنز به تقليد از نسخۀ واينيچ و كتاب هاى مشابه: دانشنامه اى به زبان رمزى، در چند فصل، مانند گياهان، حيوانات، انسان ها، صنايع، اقوام و فرهنگ ها و... كه در هر كدام به شرح موجودات غريب و صنايع جادويى دنيايى ناشناخته مى پردازد، با تصاوير عجيب و غريب، كه پهلو به سوررئال مى زند. نقاشى ها گاه حالتى شاعرانه دارند، و گاه حالتى خنده دار و مضحك، و گاه مانند كاريكاتورهاى سياسى و اجتماعى، حالتى انتقادى.
نويسنده به گونه اى با جديت هر تصوير را توضيح داده و موجودات را تقسيم بندى و طبفه بندى كرده، كه انگار با زبانى واقعى در حال توضيح وظيفۀ هر يك از اندام هاى يك موجود واقعى است، و نمى توانى با تماشاى اين جديت در توضيح كاركرد هر چيز بى ربط، جلوى خنده ات را بگيرى!
تجربۀ شخصی
چند ماه بعد از خواندن کتاب، در صفحه گوگل پلاسم بخش هایی از این کتاب را گذاشتم، به همراه ترجمۀ خیالی خودم از آن، با لحن دانشنامه ای، جدی و علمی با ارجاعات دقیق. هر چند در ابتدا کسی متوجه نمی شد این کتاب چیست و بعضی ها مطالب تخیلیِ واقع نمایی که می نوشتم را جدی می گرفتند، اما با چند بار توضیح و تفهیم ماهیت دانشنامه ای-خیالی کتاب، بعضی هاشان همپای من شروع کردند به نوشتن ترجمه های خیالی خودشان ذیل نوشته های من. تا جایی که من دست از ترجمه کشیدم و فقط عکس ها را می گذاشتم تا دیگران ترجمه کنند و من از خواندن تخیلاتِ گاه طنازانه شان لذت ببرم. قراءة اللامقروء: مخطوطة سيرافيني مثلا
لطالما فكرت إن كان بإمكاني إخراج المعاني التي تثقل رأسي من دون الحاجة لاستخدام الكلمات... فالكلمات بقدر ما تبدو مغوية و شهية و مريحة بقدر ما تكون عصية و صعبة و منهكة حين إرادة لجم المعاني بها، ثم بعد ذلك يبقى المعنى غير مكتمل تماما... و لذلك كنت أفكر بشيء أقل إيلاما من الكلمات... لكن ما الذي قد أوتيه البشري يستطيع أن يكون أكثر دقة في التعبير عن المعنى أكثر من الكلمة، أهي الموسيقى؟ ألرسم؟ هل حقا يمكن أن يقارنا بالكلمة فضلا عن أن يتفوقا عليها؟
هذه المسألة كانت تتأرجح في ذهني من دون أن تعثر على حل... 0
حتى اطلعت على كتاب

(مخطوطة سيرافيني) لـ لويجي سيرافيني... حينها أدركت أنه ليس من شيء أعلى و أسمى من الكلمات... فلم يؤت البشري معجزة أكمل من الكلام... 0
في عام 1981 نشر الفنان الإيطالي لويجي سيرافيني كتابا سرياليا اعتبر من أغرب الكتب في العالم، سماه
(Codex Seraphinianus)
أي مخطوطة سيرافيني و هو عبارة عن كتاب مصور مكتوب بلغة لا مفهومة و ليست بذات معنى قد اخترعها هو، مع رسوم توضيحية غريبة لا واقعية عن ما يشبه اختراعات و أشكال نباتية و هندسية و حيوانية و إنسانية بطريقة مبتدعة... و كأنه إيجاد لعالم متكامل آخر غير هذا العالم... 0
هذا الكتاب العجيب كنت قرأت عنه منذ سنوات في كتاب تاريخ القراءة، و بقي ينمو في أحلامي، إلى أن أتى اليوم الذي أتيح لي قراءته أو بالأدق الدخول بعالمه، و الحق يقال أني وجدت تفاصيله السريالية _التي بدت أبهت حين تجسدها أمامي_ ليست هي مصدر الدهشة فيه بقدر ما هي الفكرة العبقرية بحد ذاتها، و ما تولده في رأسك من آلاف الأفكار... 0
أعمق هذه الأفكار و التي جعلتني واجمة هي لحظة كشف و��ودية... أن خيالنا اللامحدود بطاقته الجبارة، ما هو في حقيقته إلا تكرار لكل الصور الموجودة و لكن بتركيبات و أوضاع و علاقات مختلفة و التي هي بحد ذاتها تقليد لأوضاع و علاقات سبق و وجدت... فمثلا هل يمكن أن نتخيل شكلا ليست خطوطه مما عـُرف، أو عالما موازيا لم يسرق عناصره من هذا العالم؟ أو وجودا لم يستمد جزيئاته من هذا الوجود؟ بل هل يمكن تجسيد ما لا يمكن تجسيده إلا عبر ما هو مجسد لتوه؟ فمثلا الكتاب كل ما فيه لا واقعي... و لكن ليس من جزء فيه إلا و هو مجزوء من الواقع...
و هل كنت أجهل هذا... لا... و لكن هذا لا يمنع تجديد الشعور بالخيبة... إبداعنا _و هو الخلق من غير مثال سابق_ ما هو إلا وهم... محاكاة لما هو مبدع... استنساخ لما هو محدث... 0
كم نحن محدودون و ضئيلون و مكررون و مقلدون! و مخلوقون! 0
يا لهزالنا! يا لبؤسنا! يا لبشريتنا! 0
و حينها وجدت أن كفة التعبير بالكلمات قد رجحت على أي وسيلة تعبير أخرى... بل شعرت أنه على قصور اللغة و اشكالياتها، و مهما بلغ التعبير بغير الكلمات عمقا و تجريدا، سيبقى أقل قدرة من اللغة على البيان... فاللغة تملك القدرة على أن تناور على هذه المحدودية... حتى و لو شيئا ما... أفلا يمكن وصف ما لا سبيل إلى وصفه؟ مثل ذلك التعبير المبين الذي ورد في قوله تعالى: ليس كمثله شيء... أو قول رسول الله "و لا خطر على قلب بشر"... هذه الجمل التي تعابث الخيال و تشاكسه و تتحداه و تهزمه... هذا التعبير عما لا يمكن التعبير عنه و لو عن طريق السلب، قد كان عبر اللغة... عبر هذه الكلمة المعجزة... عبر هذا السر الرباني... هل يستطيع أي شيء آخر أن يعبر عن مثل هذه الفكرة المهيبة المبهمة المجردة؟ هل يمكن لكتاب عجائبي يقوم على إثارة الخيال مثل كتاب سيرافيني أن يعبر عما هو خارج الخيال و الفكر؟ حين خطرت لي هذه الفكرة و أنا أتصفح الكتاب، شعرت كم نحن مقيدون بخيالنا، و هو على اتساعه قيد... و ما خيالنا إلا بشريتنا... و أن الكلمة هي معبرنا الوحيد إلى ما وراء ذلك... و أنها معجزة الخالق قد تفضل بها علينا... 0
من اللافت أنه جرت محاولات من الكثيرين لفك شيفرة لغة الكتاب... و بعضهم فعلا قد وجد شيفرة ما! بيد أن الطرافة في الأمر أن سيرافيني لا يفتأ يؤكد أن ليس هناك من معنى مخفي وراء هذه الكتابة المبهمة، إنها لعبة ليست بذات معنى و غايته منها أن يعيش القارئ تجربة تشبه تجربة الطفل الصغير حين يمسك كتابا لا يفهمه... و لكن هل كان مثل هذا التصريح ليثني البعض عن محاولة إيجاد شيفرة أو معنى؟ أبدا... فالناس مهووسة بالأسرار و كشفها... ذكرني هذا بالناشرين الثلاثة في رواية بندول فوكو، الذين اخترعوا خطة سرية للمؤامرة الكونية، و كانت من الاتقان بحيث أنهم حتى لو اعترفوا بزيفها فإن الآخرين لن يصدقوا... فحين يكون للناس ميل لاكتشاف الخيوط و الشيفرات و العلاقات في أي شيء فإنهم سيجدونها، لأن الدماغ قادر على اختراع صلة بين أي شيء و آخر... أليس هذا أيضا ما حصل مع جون فوريس ناش في فيلم (عقل جميل
Beautiful Mind)...
ألم يكن لشدة ذكائه الذي أمرضه يجد شيفرات، في أمور لا شيفرات فيها! 0
لكن هل حقا عشت تجربة طفل صغير يمسك كتابا؟ 0
الحقيقة أن التجربة كانت أقرب لغرقي في أحد تلك الأضغاث الكابوسية المتخبطة... جو الكتاب بدا لي مرعبا... فالصور فيها الكثير من السوداوية و القسوة و الفجاجة و التشوه... و المدرك فينا ليس كالطفل لا وعي لديه فيختبر وجودا جديدا تماما حين يفتح كتابا فلا يعتريه من المشاعر إلا الدهشة... لذلك بدا لي عالم سيرافيني غير ودي، أو حتى عدائيا... مما جعلني أسرع السير في الكثير من الصفحات دون أن أدقق في التفاصيل التي أصابتني بالقشعريرة... و حين أغلقته شعرت و كأني استيقظت من الكابوس و عدت للواقع... صحيح أن الواقع مترع حد الفيضان بالقبح و التوحش و القرف... و لكني على الأقل في هذا العالم و بعد سنوات من اختباره بت أملك بعض الأسلحة _على هزالها_ تساعدني شيئا ما في مواجهة إبهامه: بعض من معرفة، بعض القوانين المنطقية و الفيزيائية التي أستطيع أن أبني عليها، حفنة من البديهيات أنطلق منها، شيء من قدرة على التقاط الجمال وسط كل هذا القبح، بعض من وعي، إيمان أتقوى به، و كلمات أقيد فيها كل شيء و أتواصل بها... لكن في عالم الكتاب شعرت و كأني جردت من كل هذا الذي أملكه و عدت صفرا مطلقا كطفل تائه، بل أسوأ، كمخلوق سريالي يمتلك وعيا بناه من عالم مواز ثم سقط فجأة في عالمنا، لا يعلم فيه شيء و لا حتى أن الشمال هو شمال و ليس أخضر! 0
و هذا يجعلني أكتشف أني ممتنة لكل الثوابت البديهية و الطبيعية و الزمان و المكان... حتى لو أني أحيانا أتذمر منها لأني فضولية أود أن أعرف ما وراءها... لكنها نعمة حقيقة... فماذا لو أنها لم توجد و كان على واحدنا أن يتفاجأ بقانون جديد كل لحظة فلا يستطيع أن يقف على شيء أبدا... و كأنه سقوط لانهائي في هاوية لا قرار لها! 0
يقول سيرافيني عن كتابه: أنت ترى ما تود رؤيته، تظنه يتحدث إليك، و لكنها إنما هي مخيلتك فقط"... 0
و إنما كان هذا كله هو ما قرأته في هذا الكتاب اللامقروء: مخطوطة سيرافيني... 0

و حينها وجدت أن كفة التعبير بالكلمات قد رجحت على أي وسيلة تعبير أخرى... بل شعرت أنه على قصور اللغة و اشكالياتها، و مهما بلغ التعبير بغير الكلمات عمقا و تجريدا، سيبقى أقل قدرة من اللغة على البيان... فاللغة تملك القدرة على أن تناور على هذه المحدودية... حتى و لو شيئا ما... أفلا يمكن وصف ما لا سبيل إلى وصفه؟ مثل ذلك التعبير المبين الذي ورد في قوله تعالى: ليس كمثله شيء... أو قول رسول الله "و لا خطر على قلب بشر"... هذه الجمل التي تعابث الخيال و تشاكسه و تتحداه و تهزمه... هذا التعبير عما لا يمكن التعبير عنه و لو عن طريق السلب، قد كان عبر اللغة... عبر هذه الكلمة المعجزة... عبر هذا السر الرباني... هل يستطيع أي شيء آخر أن يعبر عن مثل هذه الفكرة المهيبة المبهمة المجردة؟ هل يمكن لكتاب عجائبي يقوم على إثارة الخيال مثل كتاب سيرافيني أن يعبر عما هو خارج الخيال و الفكر؟ حين خطرت لي هذه الفكرة و أنا أتصفح الكتاب، شعرت كم نحن مقيدون بخيالنا، و هو على اتساعه قيد... و ما خيالنا إلا بشريتنا... و أن الكلمة هي معبرنا الوحيد إلى ما وراء ذلك... و أنها معجزة الخالق قد تفضل بها علينا... 0
من اللافت أنه جرت محاولات من الكثيرين لفك شيفرة لغة الكتاب... و بعضهم فعلا قد وجد شيفرة ما! بيد أن الطرافة في الأمر أن سيرافيني لا يفتأ يؤكد أن ليس هناك من معنى مخفي وراء هذه الكتابة المبهمة، إنها لعبة ليست بذات معنى و غايته منها أن يعيش القارئ تجربة تشبه تجربة الطفل الصغير حين يمسك كتابا لا يفهمه... و لكن هل كان مثل هذا التصريح ليثني البعض عن محاولة إيجاد شيفرة أو معنى؟ أبدا... فالناس مهووسة بالأسرار و كشفها... ذكرني هذا بالناشرين الثلاثة في رواية بندول فوكو، الذين اخترعوا خطة سرية للمؤامرة الكونية، و كانت من الاتقان بحيث أنهم حتى لو اعترفوا بزيفها فإن الآخرين لن يصدقوا... فحين يكون للناس ميل لاكتشاف الخيوط و الشيفرات و العلاقات في أي شيء فإنهم سيجدونها، لأن الدماغ قادر على اختراع صلة بين أي شيء و آخر... أليس هذا أيضا ما حصل مع جون فوريس ناش في فيلم (عقل جميل
Beautiful Mind)...
ألم يكن لشدة ذكائه الذي أمرضه يجد شيفرات، في أمور لا شيفرات فيها! 0
لكن هل حقا عشت تجربة طفل صغير يمسك كتابا؟ 0
الحقيقة أن التجربة كانت أقرب لغرقي في أحد تلك الأضغاث الكابوسية المتخبطة... جو الكتاب بدا لي مرعبا... فالصور فيها الكثير من السوداوية و القسوة و الفجاجة و التشوه... و المدرك فينا ليس كالطفل لا وعي لديه فيختبر وجودا جديدا تماما حين يفتح كتابا فلا يعتريه من المشاعر إلا الدهشة... لذلك بدا لي عالم سيرافيني غير ودي، أو حتى عدائيا... مما جعلني أسرع السير في الكثير من الصفحات دون أن أدقق في التفاصيل التي أصابتني بالقشعريرة... و حين أغلقته شعرت و كأني استيقظت من الكابوس و عدت للواقع... صحيح أن الواقع مترع حد الفيضان بالقبح و التوحش و القرف... و لكني على الأقل في هذا العالم و بعد سنوات من اختباره بت أملك بعض الأسلحة _على هزالها_ تساعدني شيئا ما في مواجهة إبهامه: بعض من معرفة، بعض القوانين المنطقية و الفيزيائية التي أستطيع أن أبني عليها، حفنة من البديهيات أنطلق منها، شيء من قدرة على التقاط الجمال وسط كل هذا القبح، بعض من وعي، إيمان أتقوى به، و كلمات أقيد فيها كل شيء و أتواصل بها... لكن في عالم الكتاب شعرت و كأني جردت من كل هذا الذي أملكه و عدت صفرا مطلقا كطفل تائه، بل أسوأ، كمخلوق سريالي يمتلك وعيا بناه من عالم مواز ثم سقط فجأة في عالمنا، لا يعلم فيه شيء و لا حتى أن الشمال هو شمال و ليس أخضر! 0
و هذا يجعلني أكتشف أني ممتنة لكل الثوابت البديهية و الطبيعية و الزمان و المكان... حتى لو أني أحيانا أتذمر منها لأني فضولية أود أن أعرف ما وراءها... لكنها نعمة حقيقة... فماذا لو أنها لم توجد و كان على واحدنا أن يتفاجأ بقانون جديد كل لحظة فلا يستطيع أن يقف على شيء أبدا... و كأنه سقوط لانهائي في هاوية لا قرار لها! 0
يقول سيرافيني عن كتابه: أنت ترى ما تود رؤيته، تظنه يتحدث إليك، و لكنها إنما هي مخيلتك فقط"... 0
و إنما كان هذا كله هو ما قرأته في هذا الكتاب اللامقروء: مخطوطة سيرافيني... 0

This book is a dream come true... literally. Ever since I saw it once on "world's weirdest books" list, I have wanted to possess it: however, the fact that it was very difficult to get hold of a copy and even if one was found, the price would very well drive it out of my reach forced me keep it on a very remote wishlist. Until Liz provided me with a pdf copy. Thanks, Liz!
It would be wrong to say that I have read Codex Seraphinianus - I haven't. In fact, nobody other than the author has. It is written in a totally incomprehensible and so far undeciphered language which the author, Luigi Serafini, has steadfastly refused to translate. The doubt remains that there is nothing to decipher - that it is all a giant hoax, meaningless scrolls and whorls meant to look like profound wisdom. This, we may never know.
The "Codex" is an illustrated encyclopaedia of sorts, with sections devoted to botany, zoology, anatomy, geography etc. - at least, so much we can infer from the layout and the pictures. But the country it describes is something imagined by Hieronymus Bosch and M.C.Escher on acid, with some liberal help from Salvador Dali and Luis Bunuel. In some aspects, it is very much like our world: but as one looks closer, the weirdness begins to be apparent. Trees which uproot themselves and jump into the water like lemmings; chairs which are grown and harvested; human beings composed partly of firearms; a copulating couple who merge into a crocodile; human beings composed of balls of wool and umbrellas from the waist up... the eerie images can be enumerated ad inifinitum. The funny thing is that, we get a feeling that we just need to understand the language to make sense of this strange and wonderful world: being unable to do so frustrates us. I found myself constantly pondering... what meaning is hidden in those strange squiggles?
The author may have meant it as a joke, but I think this book illustrates one profound characteristic of language. Unless we infuse meaning into those lines and curves, and link them with sounds and meanings, isn't all language nonsense? For example, my son and wife can read Arabic, so they stop and read the signboards on the the roadside, but for me those beautiful snakelike markings are just decoration.
The highest recommendation for any connoisseur of the weird (like me!).

Remember that time when dad was in the military and he was stationed at Area 51. And he got transferred to that alien planet. And we had to go to live there for like three years. And we had to learn their language at the school. And the writing was some kind of weird calligraphy. And we got that science book with all those weird drawings in it. Το πρώτο κεφάλαιο ξεκινάει με την παρουσίαση των φυτοκυτταρικών μικροοργανισμών. Υπάρχουν οργανισμοί όπου είναι φωτοσύνθετοι - χλωροφυλλούχοι οπότε χρειάζονται το ηλιακό ή το φεγγάριο φως και εκείνοι που είναι αυτόφωτοι φωτοχημειοσύνθετοι και χρησιμεύουν ως φυσικό μέσο παραγωγής φωτισμού.
Από τις διάφορες κατηγορίες φυτών ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζουν τα αυτοβρεχόμενα όπου σε περιόδους ξηρασίας παράγουν ένα οργανικό νέφος βροχής προκειμένου να εξασφαλίσουν την επιβίωσή τους, τα διάφορα είδη σκαλοειδών, λαβυρινθοειδών, κλιμακωτών, αστεροειδών, μολυβοειδών και ψαλιδοειδών. Τα μετεωρόφυτα μπορούν να αιωρούνται αποσπώμενα από τις ρίζες τους αλλά σε μικρή απόσταση από αυτές, και οι στρουθομαργαρίτες έχουν την τάση να κρύβουν τα ανθισμένα τους κεφάλια στο χώμα προκειμένου να αποφύγουν το μάδημα των πετάλων τους από τους ερωτευμένους.

Ο Φασουλάνθρωψ ο περιπατητικός είναι μία άλλη υβριδική κατηγορία όπου ζει συμβιωτικά με το φυτό σταχυοδρόμιο το παρασιτικό και δύο φορές την ημέρα φροντίζει για το ξερίζωμά του, τον περίπατό του σε ειδικά κατασκευασμένα γι' αυτόν τον σκοπό καροτσάκι και την εκ νέου επαναφύτευσή του, προκειμένου να μην πλήττουν αμφότεροι.
Στην έρημο της Κεντρικής Σηπίας - Καλαμάρας παρουσιάζεται ένα σπάνιο φαινόμενο: βροχή από μεταναστευτικά σπόρια μελανίνης μια φορά τον χρόνο προκαλεί την ραγδαία εμφάνιση κονδυλο- φυτο - φόρων οι οποίοι χρησιμοποιούνται για τη γραφή αλλά και ως αξεσουάρ από τους αυτόχθονες στυλοφόρους, γνωστούς και ως Μπικ - Μπικ. Δεν συνίσταται η κατανάλωσή τους, γιατί έχουν πικρή γεύση. Αντίστοιχα στο εξωτικό νησί του Κατσεσήκω φυτρώνουν καρεκλόθαμνοι, οι οποίοι είναι φαγώσιμοι και εξαιρετικά θρεπτικοί, με θερμαντικές ιδιότητες απαραίτητες για τους γυμνιστές - πατινέρ των ορεινών περιοχών του νησιού.
Τέλος το πρώτο κεφάλαιο κλείνει με την μπαλονομαργαρίτα την ιπτάμενη, η οποία μετά το μάδημα των πετάλων της, φυσώντας από τον σωληνοειδή της μίσχο, εκαντονταπλασιάζεται σε μέγεθος και μετατρέπεται σε μπαλόνι, ένα ιδανικό και εξαιρετικά οικολογικό μεταφορικό μέσο, υπό την προϋπόθεση να γίνεται σωστή χρήση των κατάλληλων ανέμων.

چند روز پیش اومدم تو توییتر از کتاب راهنمای ساختن دوباره تمدن گفتم و اون وسط در کنار درخواست کتابها، یکی اومد و کتاب کدکس سرافینیانوس رو معرفی کرد. حقیقتا اولش فکر کردم یه کتاب تو همون موضوعات ساخت دوباره تمدن و دکتر استون و اینا باشه اما وقتی بازش کردم دیدم هیچی ازش نمیفهمم و انگار از یه دنیای دیگه اومده.
این کتاب یه گرافیک بوکه که لوییجی سرافینی ایتالیایی طراحی کرده(و نوشتتش). چیزی که راجع بهش خفن بود طرحهای عجیب و خلاقانه و گاها مریض و سمش بود.
طرحهاش یه سری چیزاییند که از دور یکم آشنا به نظر میان و فکر میکنی میدونی راجع به چیه، ولی وقتی دقیق میشی میبینی چقدر عجیب و متفاوت (و مریض)ـند. یه سری گیاه که یهو به طرز عجیبی رشد کردند، یه سری موجود با ساختارهای عجیب و غریب یه سری حروف و رفتار و ماشین های که آشنا میزنند ولی خیلی عجیب تر از چیزیند که بتونی قبلش تصور کنی و آدمایی که تو ظاهر اولیه شاید مثل ما باشند اما کاملا متفاوتند رو به تصویر کشیده.
اصلا یه سری جزییاتش واقعا مایندبلویینگ بود؛ چون این عجیب تصویر کردنِ چیزهای به ظاهر آشنا، آدم رو بیشتر شوکه میکنه.
وقتی کتاب رو میبینی از همون اول تصمیم میگیری که خب بشینیم رمزگشاییش کنیم و الفباش رو دربیاریم چون کتاب به یه زبون ساخته شده نوشته شده؛ که دوستی خیلی زود به دادم رسید و قبل اینکه بخوام ساعتها خودم رو درگیر این قضیه کنم بهم گفت که هدف نویسنده این بوده که این متن معنادار نشه و حس خوندن یه بچه از زبون ناشناخته رو بده. واقعا هم حس میکنی انگار یه سری الین و موجودات فضایی راجع به دنیایی شبیه ولی متفاوت از ما نوشتن و کشیدن. یا شاید بشه گفت مثل یه برداشت دایرهالمعارفی پرت و پلا و سطحی یه هوش مصنوعی از دنیای خودمونه.:))))
هر فصل کتاب هم موضوع خودش رو داشت و اون اول یه فهرست داده بود و اون انتها هم حتی نمایه گذاشته بود.
کلا تجربه جالب و عجیبیه خوندن(دیدن)ـش.

This is an art book, oversized, with a fantastical premise: To appear like an encyclopedia of the unknown world, the imaginarium, complete with invented language. A work of immense ambition and kind of breath-taking scope, it is sort of like if Jim Woodring and Charles Burns and 40 fantasy artists combined to create this volume of amazing and strange creatures . . . only Serafini did it all, all by his lonesome. Originally published in 1981, it was re-released in 2013. And it's impressive. And some of us seem to be calling it a comic, since it is sort of a collection of comics figures. Strange and wonderful, in its way. Surreal for sure.

Dopo la lettura del Codex, potremmo integrare la definizione di genio data dal grande Perozzi in questa maniera: genio è (anche) capacità di inventare qualcosa di nuovo partendo da un materiale strausato. Parliamo del materiale-libro in una delle sue varianti più noiose: l’enciclopedia. Già, il Codex è più di un triplo salto mortale senza rete, più di una scalata di un ottomila, più di un salto dalle cascate del Niagara dentro ad una botte, più…, più. Con il Codex Serafini sfida le leggi della narrativa e le stravolge scrivendo un libro stranissimo, nel quale l’iconografia mescola immagini di fantasia con altre riconoscibili ma usate fuori dal loro contesto abituale e la scrittura è in una lingua asemica, fatta di segni che si ripetono, di maiuscole e minuscole, di tratti in grassetto, quasi a indicare la presenza di regole che pure sono destinate a rimanerci sconosciute. Non comprendete le tavole che vi propongo? – sembra dirci l’autore – Nessun problema, ecco in calce la spiegazione. Peccato che anch’essa rimanga fuori dalla nostra portata, in una specie di gioco che da una parte ci attira e dall’altra ci rimbalza, ci spinge a cercare di comprendere e poi ci nasconde gli strumenti necessari. Uno scherzo? Forse, ma non solo. Un passatempo per bibliofili un po’ snob? Sicuramente. Un modo di épater le bourgeois? Possibile. Il Codex è tutto questo e anche molto di più: un libro da leggere con il cuore di un bambino e la testa di un adulto, camminando in bilico tra sonno e veglia, fantasia e ragione. Forse quello che ci chiede il Codex non è capire, spiegare, dare un senso, trovare una trama, procedendo in linea retta dall’inizio alla fine… ma lasciarci andare, seguire il ritmo, la nostra musica, aggirandoci tra le pagine del libro come tra i fiori di un prato, lasciandoci colpire da una figura, da un accostamento di immagini, da un gesto. Rimettere il lettore al centro. Suscitare emozioni, ricordi, pensieri. Far vivere un’immaginazione troppo spesso tenuta controllata da mille regole, questo credo sia lo scopo del Codex.
Dopo la lettura del Codex, potremmo integrare la definizione di genio data dal grande Perozzi in questa maniera: genio è (anche) capacità di inventare qualcosa di nuovo partendo da un materiale strausato. September 29, 2023For me to categorize this as a “graphic novel” is entirely unfair to the work of genius that it is. It’s a book that is entirely visual, but not in the manner of a graphic novel without text or dialogue. There is text. There are pages upon pages filled with explanations of the wonders found inside. There is just one problem: no one can read the language.
Here is a very short video to introduce the book.
You open the book and are transported to that early age of picking up books and trying to decipher the images, trying to assign a narrative out of the images (if any) present on the pages. I adored the microscopic explorations, the anthropological discoveries, and the technological explanations. There is a bit of geography, a bit of Gulliver, a bit of phrenology, a bit of Alice, a bit of archeology, a bit of Cromwell, a bit of grammatology, a bit of Bohr, a bit of cellular biology, a bit of Tron, a bit of sartorial magnificence, a bit of Tarot, a bit of mythology, and a bit of da Vinci.
If you are lucky enough to own a copy of this, kudos. I wish I could own the copy I “read”. I got it from the library. If you are able to find this, take a day and look through it. It’s a trip.

This book is the epitome of surreal. This book is also one of the damn coolest things I've had the honor of looking at. I'm so glad I own this. It wasn't cheap to get so this book ain't going nowhere! They charge over $500 for this book at Powell's!
So what's the plot of the book?
Ayyyyy...cheldkfifk I dunno.
Just imagine if you saw the Voynich manuscript and with a shot of LSD, created the brainchild of H.P Lovecraft, Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, Rene Magritte, Frieda Kahlo, the Necronomicon itself, your most crazy dreams, and some more shots of LSD...you got the Codex Seraphinianus...but I'm just barely on the tip of the iceberg here.
Just start flipping through this book and you'll stay fixated for quite a while. With its bizarre untranslatable language with eerie, incredibly creepy drawings, it's one of the most fascinating things to ever exist in the literary world. I'm kinda shocked it's not more famous.
This book may be creepy, but it's also just beautiful. Everyone needs to have at least one glimpse of this book. If they did, I think Serafini would be a millionaire with all the copies that would be sold.

OH-MY-GOD. I could trip on this book for an eternity. It is the most exquisite, weirdest and amazing book I've ever come across.
I could only get a PDF of this book, but going through it was like suddenly soaring up to a new level of awareness, of aesthetics, of pure beauty. It is splendidly incoherent, but buried deep within its exquisite babble is an almost terrifying understanding, a glimpse into something that we are yet to attain, a disturbing, tantalizing truth half-revealed. What makes this book so precious to the point of almost being dangerous (I can imagine religious organizations and governments wanting to destroy it in the coming centuries) is its ability to make you go 'Oh..' in a sudden gasp of comprehension although you are not sure why. It moves you in ways you have never thought before, it opens new possibilities. In a world so straightjacketed by various guidelines, rules and assumptions, this book is delightfully whimsical. It is a slap on the face of normalcy. It is gloriously dismissive of convention by showing us the beauty of unintelligibility, it takes us into a delicious delirium of marvels that blurs the line between the real and the imagined. This book encompasses the heights of imagination and fantasy. It is also a tempting promise, an insight into the tremendous human potential, it proves the extends to which art can reach if we only dare to imagine uninhibitedly, wildly,like a child before it is conditioned by its surroundings and society.
Never will I curl up in a corner craving for inspiration, never will I wake up feeling art is dead, never will I call upon my muses in despair, never will a moment pass in boredom. I have found my manna. I shall take up my pen again, my fingers throb, my heart is beating a tad too fast, my eyes are swimming, my mouth is hurting and my reflection has a disturbingly wide smile. My quest for the meaning of art is partially fulfilled.

Actually found a copy of this for a steal. The little shop had no idea what it is worth and as I read through it I have to wonder why it is worth so much. Albeit, it is a strange title and comforting in it's maddness. It is kind of like being on peyote. If James Joyce and M.C. Escher had a child at Rod Serlings home under the direction of L. Ron Hubbard. Difficult to find a copy of this under five-hundred dollars, so I feel very fortunate to have found it at a reasonable book price. However, I will probably sell it for a prophet when I am done reading it, since it's ridiculous value can't last forever, right? My luck is that I will sell it and in ten years it will be worth a million bucks, oh well, so be it.

No one can read the Codex Seraphinianus: at best you can leaf through it, uncomprehending but with a continual feeling of discovery. The most similar work is probably the Voynich Manuscript. It is an encyclopedia of a unknown world in an unknown language, in a script that resembles a kind of cursive Telugu. The copy I have is doubly mysterious. It is a color printout of a poorly scanned copy, with three hole punches down the inside and outside of the pages, in an oversize binder.
As a child, I liked to leaf through encyclopedias looking for interesting articles or illustrations. When I was about ten, I had a dream that I had found an encyclopedia article about the Transformers, with detailed photos and histories of all the bistable toys. Of course no such article existed, but I felt such a longing for it! (Now, of course, Transformers has its own wiki, and it is hard to communicate to my son just how precious libraries were to me.)
Later, in high school, I discovered in the Oberlin college library a book called The Complete Dictionary of Illustration. It was a reprint of the plates from a German encyclopedia from the 19th century. Without the accompanying text, and unable to read even the very sparse labels in German, it was a fascinating experience of trying to puzzle things out. This page was about weather phenomena, but what weather makes a ship's mast glow, or mountains to hang in the air upside down above the ocean? What buildings are these the floor plans of? This must be a map showing every building in Paris, but why is Paris laid out like a spiral? What festival in what cult is depicted here? Here is a chart showing the evolution of scripts, with a couple of odd omissions. Here is a page full of inscrutable inventions. I kept it out as long as I was allowed, and when I asked my mom to check it out for me again soon after, the librarian told her it had never existed and wasn't in the catalog. (Years later I discovered that I had called it The Complete Encyclopedia of Illustration, rather than Dictionary, and the college student at the desk was not very good at being a librarian.)
The experience of looking through the Codex is very similar. On every page, incompatible things are mixed together: people and machine, or cursive and thread, or eggs and landscape. It is a Book of Changes, a grimoire of magical transformation. It often reminded me of the Mushi, those things which are something like words, and something like diseases, and something like animals, and something like curses, the flora and fauna of the spiritual realm. This book would fit right in the shelves of the Mushishi's backpack. Of course it also brought to mind Borges' Tlön and Italo Calvino and the Apeendices at the end of Return of the King. The nature of creativity is often thought to lie in the combining of disparate things, and I think the book is talking about itself, in a way, about the mysterious subconscious dream process of artistic creation. I first learned of the Codex from Hofstadter's Metamagical Themas, another book that was very important in my life, as I have spent my entire professional life trying to answer the questions it brought up in my mind.
I have been working on a similar project myself, though unlike Serafini I hope to make my text translatable; I created the artificial language using machine learning software and all the translation will be automatic, which Serafini couldn't have done in the 1970s.

July 11, 2016O nouă rubrică pe Bookaholic: „Cărți de legendă”. În cadrul acesteia, vom vorbi despre aceste cărți rare, excepționale, cărți de colecție sau cărți legendare de multe ori pierdute, cărți despre care, de obicei, doar auzim, fără a putea să le și citim.
O astfel de carte de legendă este Codex Seraphinianus a italianului Luigi Serafini (arhitect, artist și designer industrial). Scrisă pe parcursul a trei ani, cartea a avut nevoie de încă trei ani pentru a fi publicată și a apărut, în cele din urmă, în 1981 la editura italiană Ricci, cu o prefață de Italo Calvino – inițial, prefața urma să fie semnată de Roland Barthes, însă moartea sa subită a făcut imposibil acest lucru.
Codex Seraphinianus este un fel de enciclopedie ilustrată a unei lumi imaginare, asemănătoare enciclopediilor enluminate din Evul Mediu, scrisă într-un limbaj inventat și perfect ininteligibil pentru oricine altcineva în afară de autorul lui. Oricum, decriptarea textului ce însoțește imaginile este, din punctul de vedere al acestuia, complet inutilă, întrucât ideea care stă la baza cărții își propune să exploreze mai degrabă universul vizual decât cel lingvistic sau textual.
„Îmi doresc ca alfabetul meu să-i transmită cititorului senzația pe care o au copiii în fața cărților pe care nu le pot înțelege. Eu am folosit-o ca să descriu analitic o lume imaginară și să-i dau un cadru coerent. Imaginile își au originea în ciocnirea dintre acest vocabular fantastic și lumea reală. Este visul fiecărui artist să-și modeleze propria lume imaginară. Codex-ul a devenit atât de popular pentru că reușește să-i împace pe oameni cu propriile fantezii. Prin conținut și intenție, Codex Seraphinianus este o carte ce ilustrează prin excelență această civilizație a imaginii în care trăim. Oarecum avant la lettre, Serafini a imaginat haosul și fascinația pe care o exercită acum asupra noastră imaginarul vizual al social media, unde imaginile tind să devină autonome, iar textul ce le însoțește devine tot mai schematic și artificial, sfârșind, poate, prin a deveni complet inutil – e suficient să vă gândiți cum sunt scrise mesajele pe Instagram ca să înțelegeți la ce mă refer.
Comparată, pe lângă manuscrisele enluminate medievale, cu o carte de jocuri suprarealiste, imaginarul din Alice în Țara Minunilor, Cabinetul de curiozități naturale al lui Albertus Seba, alăturările coșmarești din picturile lui Hieronymus Bosch, Codex Mendoza, o enciclopedie extraterestră sau, pur și simplu, cu imaginarul vizual al cărților de copii, Codex Seraphinianus este o enciclopedie cu desene originale ce ilustrează o floră și faună bizară și fantastică, arhitecturi imaginare, mâncăruri sau creaturi ciudate. Uneori ilustrațiile sunt (ca și în picturile lui Bosch) parodii ale lucrurilor și obiectelor reale, alteori e vorba despre mașinării absurde, hărți imaginare sau corpuri omenești în diferite ipostaze.

Oricum, decriptarea textului ce însoțește imaginile este, din punctul de vedere al acestuia, complet inutilă, întrucât ideea care stă la baza cărții își propune să exploreze mai degrabă universul vizual decât cel lingvistic sau textual.

Prin conținut și intenție, Codex Seraphinianus este o carte ce ilustrează prin excelență această civilizație a imaginii în care trăim. Oarecum avant la lettre, Serafini a imaginat haosul și fascinația pe care o exercită acum asupra noastră imaginarul vizual al social media, unde imaginile tind să devină autonome, iar textul ce le însoțește devine tot mai schematic și artificial, sfârșind, poate, prin a deveni complet inutil – e suficient să vă gândiți cum sunt scrise mesajele pe Instagram ca să înțelegeți la ce mă refer.
Comparată, pe lângă manuscrisele enluminate medievale, cu o carte de jocuri suprarealiste, imaginarul din Alice în Țara Minunilor, Cabinetul de curiozități naturale al lui Albertus Seba, alăturările coșmarești din picturile lui Hieronymus Bosch, Codex Mendoza, o enciclopedie extraterestră sau, pur și simplu, cu imaginarul vizual al cărților de copii, Codex Seraphinianus este o enciclopedie cu desene originale ce ilustrează o floră și faună bizară și fantastică, arhitecturi imaginare, mâncăruri sau creaturi ciudate. Uneori ilustrațiile sunt (ca și în picturile lui Bosch) parodii ale lucrurilor și obiectelor reale, alteori e vorba despre mașinării absurde, hărți imaginare sau corpuri omenești în diferite ipostaze.

This is a legendary book. All asemic writing (writing that has no meaning because it’s fake writing) and illustrations. I feel like I’m committing a sin even writing this review in words.
I love this book as an escape into a hypothetical world where the laws of physics and biology are vastly different. What are those laws exactly? We can’t know because we can’t read the writing.
It’s designed to seem like an encyclopedia from another reality. Some pages are boring and some are unforgettable (like the couple having sex turning into a crocodile, probably the most famous illustration from this book). I guess he’s like a real encyclopedia- some pages are bound to be boring and others interesting. Overall it’s satisfying to flip through the pages.
You can buy this book for anywhere from $140 to $3000 (first edition!) if you search carefully you can find it in a library or bookstore. I saw it once in a bookstore in LA, freshly reprinted and for sale, and of course flipped though it.
I think this was the most expensive book I read at the time that I encountered it, a month ago. Though this isn’t a book for “reading”, it's for looking at, absorbing, digesting. It was the most expensive until today when I came into contact with a book worth 10,000 euro.

مخطوطة سيرافيني هي عبارة عن كتاب مصور ، و مكتوب بلغة غير مفهومة
أو حتى مستخدمة ،و هي لغة ليست ذات معنى إذ أتت عملية اختراعها على يد لويجي سيرافيني،
و قام باستخدامها مع عدة رسوم توضيحية غريبة لا تنتمي إلى الواقع بشيء،
فهي عبارة عن ما يشبه اختراعات أو أشكال حيوانية أو هندسية أو نباتية
جرى رسمها بطريقة مبتدعة ، و قد أشتهر كتاب مخطوطة سيرافيني
بأنه من أحد أغرب الكتب الخيالية المشفرة ، و يعد الفنان ، و المصمم
و المهندس المعماري الإيطالي الجنسية لويجي سيرافيني هو من قام بتأليف
و تصميم هذا الكتاب ، و هو لا يزال بعد في سن 27 فقط .
إذ استغرق هذا الكتاب ما مدته 3 سنوات كاملة ليجيء نشره بعد ذلك
و لأول مرة في خلال عام 1981م في مجلدين كبيرين ، و إلى وقتنا الحالي
لم يتمكن أحد من فك شفرات هذا الكتاب ، و ما هو المقصود منه
فالمتعارف عليه أنه عندما يقوم الكاتب بتأليف كتاب
فهو بناء على ذلك
يحاول من خلال الكتاب أن يعالج مشكلة أو يطرح رؤية خاصة به أو يبحث في موضوع معين
أو يحاول أن يوصل أفكار أو معتقدات يؤمن بها إلى قراءه حول قضية أو شيئاً ما
ولكن مخطوطة سيرافيني لم تقدم أي شيئاً من تلك الأشياء إلى قارئها
إذاً فما هي أهم الحقائق المدهشة عن كتاب مخطوطة سيرافيني؟
حقائق مدهشة عن كتاب مخطوطة سيرافيني:
1- مخطوطة سيرافيني هي عبارة عن كتاب أو مخطوطة تم كتابتها بلغة
و أبجدية غريبة غير معروفة أو مفهومة فهي لم تكن موجودة من قبل
و ليست موجودة في يومنا هذا
و ذلك في أي مكان على سطح كوكب الأرض فهي أبجدية جاء اختراعها من عقل كاتبها بشكل كامل
و لذلك فإنه لا يمكن فهمها أو حتى قراءتها مما زاد من أهمية هذا الكتاب
و زاد من الدرجة الخاصة بغرابته ، و غموضه .

و الذي لا يشبه أياً من كتب الفنون الأخرى الإنسانية إذ ، و بمجرد رؤيته من جانب قارئه
و تجوله بين صفحاته إلا و يعتقد أنه كتاب قديم جداً يعود لعصور أو
عهود تاريخية قد مضت على الرغم من حداثة الكتاب.
4- كتاب مخطوطة سيرافيني هو كتاب من أغلى الكتب في العالم ،
و ذلك يرجع إلى أنه و بمجرد طرحه بلغ سعر النسخة الورقية الواحدة منه
ما قيمته 2000 دولار ، و لكن و بعد زيادة نسبة الطلب عليه ،

و الأغرب أن تعيش بين البشر ، و معهم بشكل طبيعي .
6- يحتوي الكتاب على عدة أشكال من الآلات ، و الاختراعات
ذات الأشكال الهندسية المعقدة ، و الغريبة علاوة على قيامها بتأدية
عدد من الوظائف الغير مفهومة أو معروفة .

If you'd like a bewildering encounter with an alien culture, the Codex Seraphinianus is the book for you. It’s an encyclopaedia of an imaginary world written in a fully incomprehensible language and illustrated with detailed, coloured drawings that cover all areas of life: flora, fauna, science, manufacturing, alien (humanoid) anatomy, history and ethnography, dining and fashion, and architecture.
As the act of understanding words will be limited, here is a taster of visual delights that await you in the order that you’d encounter them (and including only the ones that can plausibly be put into a few words):
–Bird with a second head where a tail would be, flower that rains on itself, flower that grows laddered stalks, flower that grows leaves like scissors, fruit that bleeds, apple growing within an apple, grapes growing on a banana, walnuts growing out of a fennel, matchsticks growing in a beetroot, trees growing inside trees, trees jumping off a cliff and swimming away, trees that grow into the shape of a chair, flowers that blow up to become helium balloons.
—Fish with a humanoid face, fish with own fish-bowl over its head, snake without head or tail (a loop), snake as shoelace, bird consisting of a head and a single feather, bird with three heads, chick that hatches out of an egg that is regurgitated by a chick hatching out of an egg that is…, bird with scorpion tail, horse with wheels for hind legs, hippopotamus with wires for a body, rhinoceros whose horn and tail are one continuous flesh loop.

To be clear, the Codex is a fictional work published in 1981. It was created purposefully as an enigma, a surrealist foray into the imagination, and is accepted and enjoyed as such. Serafini has even said that the language is asemic, or without meaning.
Regardless, it is thoroughly enjoyable and most creative. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in fringe literature: the Codex is on the boundary between art and writing.

این کتاب باعث شد من برگردم به دوران کودکیم. شاید بپرسید چطوری؟ بذارید توضیح بدم. مامان بزرگ من سواد خوندن و نوشتن نداشت. از اونجایی که فارس زبان هم نبود، برنامه های تلویزیونی رو متوجه نمی شد، اما خب تخیلش قوی بود. هرموقع که من کتاب داستان می خوندم یا کارتون می دیدم، اونم عکساش رو نگاه می کرد و بهم می گفت «داره اینو میگه نه؟» بعضی وقتا شکل هارو به یه صورت دیگه می دید. شاید حیوانات رو به شکل گیاه میدید و برعکس. از این طریق برای خودش داستان درست می کرد. تصویری که به نظر من واضح بود برای مادر بزرگم عجیب و غریب بود و من متوجه نمی شدم چطوری می تونه درک متفاوتی از تصاویر واضح داشته باشه. امروز وقتی که رفتم سراغ این کتاب متوجه شدم مامان بزرگم کتاب های داستان من رو چطوری می دیده. از اونجایی که چیزی برای خوندن وجود نداشت منم شروع کردم به تحلیل عکس هایی که می دیدم. به نظر من «کودکس سرافینیانوس» کتابی نیست که معنی خاصی داشته باشه و هر شخصی می تونه به شکل متفاوتی درکش کنه. اما چیزی که در ادامه می خونید تحلیل من از این کتابه:
برای من کودکس سرافینیانوس بیانگر برساخت بودن واقعیت از طریق استفاده از نشانه ها ی بینابینی هست. نمی خوام که تحلیل پست مدرنیستی از اثر داشته باشم چون که به نظرم این اثر از ایده های پست مدرنیستی فاصله می گیره و گاها فراتر میره. اما بینابینی نشانه رو میشه در تک تک نقاشی ها دید. منظورم از بینابین بودن نشانه اینکه نشانه ها (در اینجا تصاویر) دارند به صورت همزمان دو تا مفهوم ( بعضی حتی سه تا مفهموم) متفاوت رو نشون میدن. توی این کتاب پیوند ژنتیکی یجورایی باعث این حالت بینابین شده. در ادامه مثال هایی میارم تا منظورم واضح بشه. ترکیب بین گیاه و انسان، گیاه و حیوان، حیوان و انسان، حیوانات و اشیا، اشیا و گیاهان، اشیا و انسان ها و یا مجموعه ای از همه ی این ترکیب ها در کتاب دیده میشه. تکه پارچه ای که به دو تا قورباغه تبدیل میشه، ماری که بند کفش و دستبند میشه، شالی که به میله تبدیل میشه، درخت هایی که مثل حیوانات شنا می کنند، انسانی که دستش از قلمه، گیاهانی که بدن حیوانات رو دارند، گلی که برگهاش مثل تار عنکبوته، ساخت��ونی که مثل بدن انسان رگ و سلول داره...اینا مثال های کمی از این بینابینی هست که بهش اشاره کردم. حتی در یکی از تصویر ها مردی با صورت آبی می بینیم که کلاهش شبیه کلاه سرخ پوستاس، قیافه اش شبیه آسیایی ها و دستکش هاش شبیه لباس اسکیمو ها. پس این حالت بینابینی رو حتی تو تصاویری که به نسبت عادی هستن هم می بینیم. لباس های عجیب و غریب که در آخر کتاب هست برساخت بودن مفاهیم مختلف فرهنگی رو نشون میده. این کتاب برای من نشانگر محدودیت و در عین حال گستردگی تخیله.خلاقیت ما نمی تونه از چیزهایی که در اطرافمون می بینیم فراتر بره و هیچ وقت نمیتونیم یه ایده ی کاملا اوریجینال داشته باشیم، اما اگه بتونیم چیزهایی که در اطرافمون هست رو تغییر بدیم یا با هم تلفیق کنیم می تونیم دنیای جدیدی ایجاد کنیم که شباهتی به دنیای خودمون نداره.
برای من کودکس سرافینیانوس بیانگر برساخت بودن واقعیت از طریق استفاده از نشانه ها ی بینابینی هست. نمی خوام که تحلیل پست مدرنیستی از اثر داشته باشم چون که به نظرم این اثر از ایده های پست مدرنیستی فاصله می گیره و گاها فراتر میره. اما بینابینی نشانه رو میشه در تک تک نقاشی ها دید. منظورم از بینابین بودن نشانه اینکه نشانه ها (در اینجا تصاویر) دارند به صورت همزمان دو تا مفهوم ( بعضی حتی سه تا مفهموم) متفاوت رو نشون میدن. توی این کتاب پیوند ژنتیکی یجورایی باعث این حالت بینابین شده. در ادامه مثال هایی میارم تا منظورم واضح بشه. ترکیب بین گیاه و انسان، گیاه و حیوان، حیوان و انسان، حیوانات و اشیا، اشیا و گیاهان، اشیا و انسان ها و یا مجموعه ای از همه ی این ترکیب ها در کتاب دیده میشه. تکه پارچه ای که به دو تا قورباغه تبدیل میشه، ماری که بند کفش و دستبند میشه، شالی که به میله تبدیل میشه، درخت هایی که مثل حیوانات شنا می کنند، انسانی که دستش از قلمه، گیاهانی که بدن حیوانات رو دارند، گلی که برگهاش مثل تار عنکبوته، ساخت��ونی که مثل بدن انسان رگ و سلول داره...اینا مثال های کمی از این بینابینی هست که بهش اشاره کردم. حتی در یکی از تصویر ها مردی با صورت آبی می بینیم که کلاهش شبیه کلاه سرخ پوستاس، قیافه اش شبیه آسیایی ها و دستکش هاش شبیه لباس اسکیمو ها. پس این حالت بینابینی رو حتی تو تصاویری که به نسبت عادی هستن هم می بینیم. لباس های عجیب و غریب که در آخر کتاب هست برساخت بودن مفاهیم مختلف فرهنگی رو نشون میده. این کتاب برای من نشانگر محدودیت و در عین حال گستردگی تخیله.خلاقیت ما نمی تونه از چیزهایی که در اطرافمون می بینیم فراتر بره و هیچ وقت نمیتونیم یه ایده ی کاملا اوریجینال داشته باشیم، اما اگه بتونیم چیزهایی که در اطرافمون هست رو تغییر بدیم یا با هم تلفیق کنیم می تونیم دنیای جدیدی ایجاد کنیم که شباهتی به دنیای خودمون نداره.
