Max Donovan is a cute, young bartender at a trendy nightclub. Women hit on him every night, with offers ranging from back room quickies to marriage proposals. He turns them all down. He's got someone at home, and while their sex life has been boring recently, Max would never be unfaithful. Or would he?
The most gorgeous, black-haired Latino he's ever seen approaches the bar, with chocolate brown eyes set firmly on Max. The newcomer is just his type; tall, sexy, and a man. Raul Ortega buys a few rounds and flirts like crazy. He's got a great personality and—Max's weakness—a killer ass. With his stomach churning and nerves in a knot, all Max can think about is getting Raul to the back room. Nothing else matters at that moment in time.
Jenna Byrnes could use more cabinet space and more hours in a day. She’d fill the kitchen with gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his heart’s content. She’d breeze through the days adding hours of sleep, and more time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves to read.
Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as possible to her gay, lesbian and hetero characters. Her favorite quote, from a pro-gay billboard, is “Be careful who you hate. It may be someone you love.”
I have to say that I wasn't at all surprised by the ending. I kind of figured out just by the description what was going to happen, as Lisa Worrall wrote a short that I loved with almost exactly the same twist, but I didn't feel the same connection between the MCs in this one as I did in Lisa Worrall's story.
Max and Raul bring some serious stream to a back room at Max's job. These two are an established couple and I love that instead of looking elsewhere they look to spice things up between them. Adult read
