Sir Alfred Patrick Caldwell-Moore, CBE, Hon FRS, FRAS, known as Patrick Moore, was an English amateur astronomer, who is the most well known English promoter of astronomy. Moore wrote numerous books on the subject, as well as make public, television and radio appearances, over the course of his long life. He is credited as having done more than any other to raise the profile of astronomy among the British general public.

Sir Patrick Moore OBE.,CBE, presenter of the longest running t.v. series IN THE WORLD, i.e. 'The Sky at Night', has presented another gem here. Guide to Stars and Planets, first published in 1980, has been revised and expanded many times since. My edition is the 2006 version, and I could well be hearing the great old man tap tapping on his typewriter to produce his 2010 edition. No fault of Sir Patrick's omission, just that the subject matter is accelerating and expanding as fast as the universe itself.
The book has eleven chapters of basic easily understood topics from an introduction to Astronomy, The Sun, The Moon, The Planets, The Stars, The Galaxies etc. The book is very easily read and gets better as it moves along. My favourite section is The Constellations that includes both Northern and Southern hemispheres. Each constellation has it's star map which includes deep sky objects and their Dec and RA coordinates. Where applicable even the Greek mythology is included. All in all, so much fundamental astronomical information in this little guide book, of use not just to beginners but more advanced amateurs too.

This a very good book talking about all the stars and planets and soforth.There are different ways the book talks aboutscientific things in space.The black holes are especialy good about all th gravity it pulls in an object in a galixy.The certain angle a light is perjected in space.
