Lemony Snicket had an unusual education and a perplexing youth and now endures a despondent adulthood. His previous published works include the thirteen volumes in A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Composer is Dead, and 13 Words. His new series is All The Wrong Questions.
The first book was pretty good but half way through the second I realized that Count Olaf was back again and with 11 more books to follow I suspected it would be a long time before he got his comeuppance and I couldn't be bothered persevering. Sure enough when I skipped to the end of book two he had escaped again to return with a vengeance in book 3 it would seem.
Well written and I think kids would enjoy it. I especially enjoyed how the author defined words for the reader as he went, I think this would be very helpful to expand one's vocabulary especially for the intended age group which seems between about 9 and 12.
