* Create wealth even when you have nothing to start with. * Overcome fears so you can take reasonable risks. * Use the power of leverage to build wealth rapidly. * Use “one minute” habits to build wealth over the long term.
The One Minute Millionaire is a revolutionary approach to building wealth and a powerful program for self-discovery as well. On the right-hand pages, you will find the fictional story of a woman who has to make a million dollars in ninety days or lose her two children forever. The left-hand pages give the practical, step-by-step nonfiction strategies and techniques that actually work in the real world. You’ll find more than one hundred nuts-and-bolts “Millionaire Minutes,” each one a concise and invaluable lesson with specific techniques for creating wealth.
However, the lessons here are not just about becoming a millionaire—they are about becoming an enlightened millionaire and how to ethically make, keep, and share your wealth. Whether your goal is less than a million dollars or that amount many times over, there’s never been a better time to achieve abundance. Let The One Minute Millionaire show you the way.
Mark Victor Hansen is an American inspirational and motivational speaker, trainer and author. He is best known as the founder and co-creator of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" book series.
Mark Victor Hansen was born to Danish immigrants, Una and Paul Hansen. He grew up in Waukegan, Illinois. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1970 with a B.A. in speech communications.
Along with business partner, Jack Canfield, Hansen is best known for creating what Time magazine called “the publishing phenomenon of the decade”. Chicken Soup for the Soul books are one of the most successful publishing franchises in the world today, with more than 500 million books sold internationally and more than 100 licensed products. The name “Chicken Soup” was chosen because of the use of chicken soup as a home remedy for the sick. The first Chicken Soup book, published by Health Communications, Inc., sold more than 2 million copies. There are now over 500 million copies in print and in 54 languages worldwide.
In 2005 he co-wrote, along with Robert Allen, the book "Cracking the Millionaire Code" in which he highlights several self-made millionaires such as Bob Circosta, Michael Dell, Bill Gates, Alexander Graham Bell, Oprah Winfrey, and others, using them as examples of how to build wealth.
What a unique take on a book structure-- love the two-book approach. I truly enjoyed the novel portion and give it a solid four stars; the "how-to" portion was a little less impressive. I found a lot of the suggestions to be cursory at best. Plus the idea of encouraging people to jump into real estate flipping in this market seems more than a little irresponsible.
I think there's a lot of information and inspiration to be gleaned, but I found the specifics a little shallow (how do you convince people to be part of YOUR million-dollar dream team when the type of people you'd like to attract are busy with their own interests. That little detail was skipped, as were several other key elements.
Anyway, I enjoyed the book(s) and have already picked up "Cash in a Flash," the sequel supposedly written for bad times.
The person I tutor chose to read this together. It is divided into two styles: the even pages are a fact-ridden, step-by-step guide; the odd pages a fictional narrative about a woman who uses these steps to earn a million dollars in 90 days. We read the narrative. It was alright and we got through it because we wanted to find out what happened with the woman. I learned that I do not want to be a millionaire because I have no interest in real estate, investments, or sales, which are apparently some of the only ways you can earn money. Obviously, I did not go into my profession for money. I'd rather spend my time doing something I found worthwhile than concerning myself with how much I'm earning.
The one-minute millionaire is a book of two parts.
The first is a series of informational chapters that give you tons of information on building wealth. While these chapters are not riveting, they provide tons of insights into building long-lasting wealth. During these chapters I found myself revisiting the text over and over again really looking to deep into not only the text but how I could apply it into my life.
The second part of the book takes all the lessons you just learned and forms them into a gut reaching, fast-paced drama. Staring a young woman who wants her life back. This half of the book was much more entertaining but also encapsulated all of the lessons into this one story. While you can probably already guess how it ends, its still a good read.
I would recommend this book to anyone who feels stuck in their current situation and wants to better themselves. Good Read.
Nah, not for me. This is one of those self-help "make yourself richer" sort of books which is long on promise and short on delivery.
There are some nuggets in here, but to find those nuggets you have to wade through way too much waffle for my liking. And bizarrely there is a second-rate novel sandwiched in between the main subject of the book. One page of novel followed by one page of lecture then another page of novel.
Presumably if you wade through the novel it might have some relevance to the rest of the book. I tried a few pages and gave up.
As to the rest of it, it's all about thinking yourself rich. Becoming a money magnet. And looking for opportunities to get into business deals by paying nothing down.
Yes, I feel a little silly admitting I'm reading this one. So far, I'm still reading it with my arms folded and an eyebrow cocked, but we'll see. I don't like the format of the novel and nonfiction book on alternating pages. Very confusing. So far I've read the novel, and am just beginning to go back and read the nonfiction part.
--ETA: Yeahh, the nonfiction part stunk, too. I found it very unrealistic. Oh well.
An inspirational and lovely way to communicate both the left and right-brained reasons why this is indeed an abundant universe. Practical and inspiring. I'm going to re-read it right away and make my first million dollars. Ready, set, go...
I love how this book is in two halves. Tips and techniques for the logical thinkers and then a story of the advice for the creative thinkers. It helps consolidate our learning and I can't wait to try the ideas out.
Let me preface this review by saying I listened to the abridged version - but I doubt I missed out on much as I found this book pretty basic and suited for complete newbies in the field of self development and wealth building principles...( I.e not me )
In a way it can be also argued it’s not recommended for newbies either as it covered various business models vaguely whereas a dedicated book on real estate , internet marketing etc would serve its purpose better as a stand alone focused read vs scattered approach as in this book
But giving credit where it’s due, it’s not to say the principles taught aren’t valuable whatsoever, and I also liked the way the book was taught with right AND left brain types of peoples preferred method of learning side by side to help you grasp the ideas ... but I’d expect a non-fictional vs fictional story which was used for the right brained thinkers - especially seeing 2 influential authors with presumably much real life stories and experience to share

Not what you might expect from a book titled "One Minute Millionaire"; most of the emphasis is placed on the subtitle, or how to become an "enlightened millionaire". This isn't your typical left-brain numbers and tactics approach to finance but rather a semi-spiritual guide to creating positive financial changes for yourself and others. The content is entirely focused on increasing income, as opposed to many financial books that are largely about decreasing expenses. The book is really cool and unique in that the right-hand pages contain a fictional story which demonstrates how the guide points from the left-hand half of the book could be put to use. I read the story first (which was good on its own) and then read the actual guides to fill in the details and provide some more structure around the system(s) presented. I'd recommend this approach as it arouses the emotion you'll need to really ingest material that may otherwise be considered too fluffy for a finance book. My one complaint is that the tactical guides on generating real estate and business income were simultaneously too dense and too vague to be helpful (though the real estate section was clearly a compact form of the "Nothing Down" books/lessons from one of the authors, so it'd be easy to follow-up on.) Otherwise, a very inspirational read with some good and clear internal (visualize success) and external (build multiple sources of income) action items.
I enjoyed this book more than most financial books for two reasons. 1) the split story (two books in one) and 2) if nothing else it opens your eyes to a couple of different ideas regarding money. With out letting anything out of the bag, this book brings in some other aspects of wealth than just make it and keep it. Where is your head at? What else can you do to improve your ability to make money? etc.
I amy not agree with all of the advice in this book but I really liked the ideas in it on a personal level.

Most certainly the best book about abundance that I have read recently!
Primarily because of the 2-in-1 book technique that delivers the same lesson twice in a different way, with clear examples of how to apply the principles!
Heavy on inspiration, a little light on details. If you are having trouble understanding the millionaire mindset, this is a good, quick read to get you going.
No book changed my life more than this. One throw-away paragraph about the Brooklyn Bridge was the seed for the entire OwnTheG.com.au project and everything that's come after it.
[ Review in English Version] If you are in a car crash and your kids are beneath the car. You are all alone. What will you do? . You'll probably gather all you strength to help your kids survive through it right? . That's how this "The One Minute Millionaire" potray the situation. You'll do your best when you are desperate. . This book use the concept of side by side story line where one side of the page is on the thoery while the other side is the story line. . It started with Mitchelle that lost her husband due to accident and lost custody of her children to the in laws. Broke, depressed and lost, she travelled to find new life. . She worked in a restaurant as a waiter and the story started when she served "The Enlightened Millionaire Circle" meeting hosted by Sam. . She countered sam to ask for help for her desperate life. After three rejection, she was accepted to be coached and mentored by Sam. . The first thing she done is to get a deal with her in laws of the custody and they offered her to get a million in 90days in order to get the full custody of her children. . She was devastated but with Sam mentoring and guidance, she worked it out with her friends. . There are 24 principles laid out in this book to become the enlightened millionaire.
They used the word enlightened because this millionaire does not become rich for themself. But the become rich to serve others better . There are 24 principles laid out in this book to become enlightened millionaire. . I realised that I has been using some of the principles previously in my life and YES it's always resulted in success.
Then I bought the Audible version, when it was available. Which last I looked, it is no longer.
I have tried to make this work on several occasions and fell short. However, I always have enough successes to make it worth my time. One of my efforts was with my dad before he passed. We both made $4000 in 120 days. Nice. But way short of the goal.
Enter the "missing clue" that I had not realized was missing: "The 10X Rule" by Grant Cardone.
You heard me correctly. For me, I needed the insights that Grant brings to the table to be effective.
So, wish me a broken leg as I make another run on January 1, 2022.

P.S. The book steps you through the process creating $1,000,000.00USD in 90 Days. However, the authors share they have done so in just one minute. Honest.
Interesting book. I prefer books with lots of application. As I started this book, I thought it would be a "how to" book, with various strategies on how to make money. For example, it talks about real estate, business, or the power of the internet.
However, most of the book is about the "aha" realizations of the authors throughout their successful careers: the power of a higher being, givers gain, integrity, networking, being charitable, etc. These epiphany's are terrific, but aren't really what I expected. It was kind of like going to see a sports movie, but having most of it be about the importance of family in an athlete's life, instead of the actual sports or training.
It is an easy book to read, and I'm glad I read it, though ultimately I feel 3 stars is about right.
