When his rock star brother loses an important family heirloom, Dingo must survive against an army of henchmen and his sinister ex-wife Darby to retrieve it.
Not a ton of substance but it's a good quick read if you're just in the mood for something action packed that looks cool. And who doesn't love a giant hellhound? I probably added on an entire star for the dog alone lol
A fun and quick read with witty remarks the whole way through. I loved Cerberus, and loving a character that can’t speak is not always the easiest thing to make a reader do. He’s just such a bad ass and some of the moments with him have that quirky silliness that you could miss if you didn’t pay attention. I found the art work pleasing and absolutely adore the way the baddest-baddie, Eunice Devereaux, was imagined. My only question is what are those black bars across the bad guys eyes? My boyfriend tells me he thinks they are sunglasses, and I can go with that as sometimes they seem to have been broken, but one or two guys have that black bar in the shape of a + across their eyes and then down their forehead covering their nose. That’s just got to be uncomfortable.
This was enjoyable. Great ideas, great art. My two complaints are not small. Firstly, why does every supernatural story contain a reference to hell? There are so many other possibilities out there. But my main problem is that this story felt too rushed, quickly tied up. I don't know if this has to do with A publisher restraint, or if the writer did not have the patience to spend more time with these characters in these circumstances. Either way, I'm glad to have read it, I just think it needs to be at least 50 percent longer.
This was a fast-paced and fun story. I would love to see it animated. The story played out like most dramatic action stories. You don't know the full story until the very end but everything leads up to it.
