Been starting the day's reading with poetry, all kinds, often selections lent to me by a poet friend who fills in my poetic-edification gaps :)
But this one, a seminal Australian poet (perhaps that is the problem), I just cannot make my way into, so I get a big fat 'F'!

I read a poem out loud every day. Now I've finished and I'm going to start again from the beginning. There are quite a lot of references I don't understand but who cares? His work has a a lovely bitter undertone.
