This book was my thing to read over coffee in bed, so I typically read just one essay at a time and made my way through it slowly. Lots of great authors! There is a bit of fluff in the book here and there, but overall a great read for anyone who may be either new to Paganism, or just new to Pagan authors. I appreciated the essays on raising Pagan children and on helping them to navigate life in a world that will predominately misunderstand their faith. I always love Starhawk, and the final chapter of the book, written by her, may have been my favorite.
This book was pretty good. There were some sections that didn't really pertain to me, but only a few. I found it a good primer to learn about paganism in general. It was well written, and the people who submitted essays really showed how well in tune they were with their spirituality. Some of it was a little too "hoodoo" for me, being atheist, but it was still a fun read with some interesting perspectives.
I had a strange experience with this book, because while I did like the book, I also decided not to read all of it. Hopefully that doesn't make me a terrible person. :D
Exploring The Pagan Path is a handful of essays written by older knowledgeable witches. And the essays I read were fascinating and well written. I enjoyed seeing the perspective on raising Pagan children, and how to live life as a practicing witch.
But I also found that the book wasn't immediately helpful for me at the time. I feel like this is the type of book you have on the shelf until you have a specific question about something, and then you pick up this book and find answers.
So I would recommend this book for general reference, and I gave it three stars on Goodreads.
Easy to understand and enjoy. There are so many authors and paths to read about. You will learn how to go about finding like minded individuals and talk to loved ones about your choices. If you like to learn, you will certainly like this book. It will be a well used reference book in my library.
