Ruth Barbara Rendell, Baroness Rendell of Babergh, CBE, who also wrote under the pseudonym Barbara Vine, was an acclaimed English crime writer, known for her many psychological thrillers and murder mysteries and above all for Inspector Wexford.
6/5-10, 13%. SHO. Books reviewed under each title as own some individually. Generally poor reviews, and not too self, don’t buy any more....eleven is enough of a test!
Although the collection is scattered (#2,4,3&11) these are delightful little nuggets of Wexford. Rendell is on the cutting edge even though these were all written in the late 60s. Progressive. Wexford is a good old fashioned cop who questions and digs till he gets his answers. His right hand, Burden, is no slouch either. I look forward to many more adventures (at least 20!).
