This is a 5 star read. It's written beautifully, the characters are hurt individuals with huge hearts and the main character, Scott, is an incorrigible romantic. Except one small part, the story is written in his POV and I found that I preferred it that way. He was the most stable one of the lot and despite his conflicts he basically knew what he wanted.
There is a second story in the making and I'm sure it will resolve some of the issues that were left unfinished here and will be just as good.
My problem is the ending. It didn't go the way I wanted and it bordered me a lot. That is the reason why I rated it with a 4 rather than a 5 which the story certainly deserved.

This was powerful and emotional and absolutely, beautifully written. I am definitely going to read book two, "How the Light Gets In". I really want to know what happens. I just have to have something light and fluffy first, or my heart may crack in two.
