I taught from this book for several years and couldn't stand it. The majority of the examples are horribly trite and/or insipid, and I enjoyed picking them to pieces in order to help students develop a (very) critical viewpoint. By the way, the reason I kept teaching from a book I disliked was that I didn't have a choice.

There is lack of explanation. Without a teacher this is hardly useful.
