A very enjoyable sequel to the paranormal mystery Dead in L.A.. This time, psychic Leander and his cranky “roommate”/lover Jon are on the case of a missing person, and as they search, they unearth more mysteries (and a few bodies.)

Just as good as the previous book. I like that Jon's emotional journey is ongoing, and that while Andy recognizes it's going to take time for Jon to heal, he doesn't allow himself to be treated like a doormat for the sake of not disturbing Jon's status quo. I find it very refreshing that Jon is self-aware when it comes to his own jealousy, and works to own it and overcome it rather than taking what he recognizes as irrational feelings out on Andy.

I can't remember the previous book very well but I don't think I need to.
Jon is so adorable taking care of Andy and playing the grouch. Of course Andy is adorable, too, but he exudes that whereas you have to be in Jon's head to get his adorability.
I don't think of late 70s as being a frail age. My parents are both 74 and still travel internationally among other things.
It's awful, horrible, mean, and cruel not to tell a kid he's adopted. I've known several who found out by accident and they wer ...more
