This book, by far, is the best read of the year for me! It has everything! Amazing hero! Awesome heroine! Intriguing story lines! Supporting family members! Loyal friends! And, a passionate love story! Such a unique career Grip has. I loved seeing how he started at the bottom and became famous. It was also interesting reading about how he grew up with adversity in his life. His mom, a single parent, was a big influence in his life. This book, by far, is the best read of the year for me! It has everything! Amazing hero! Awesome heroine! Intriguing story lines! Supporting family members! Loyal friends! And, a passionate love story! Such a unique career Grip has. I loved seeing how he started at the bottom and became famous. It was also interesting reading about how he grew up with adversity in his life. His mom, a single parent, was a big influence in his life. She was a strong black woman that worked hard instilling goodness and confidence into her young son's life. And, he, in turn, was a hard-working intelligent male that honestly cared about others. And, then there's Bristol, who unlike Grip, was searching for acceptance and love from her family members. This causes their relationship to stall because of her inadequacy to commit. And so after years of Grip trying to win a shot of Bristol taking a chance on their relationship, he gives up on her and gives his attention to someone else. This really makes Bristol open her eyes and the jealously she is feeling is real. Oh man! I was so rooting for this couple to get together! The back and forth had my eyes rolling around in my head. But, I could totally understand Bristol's dilemma. She just was so scared to let anyone into her heart. Past indiscretions with her parents did nothing to warrant her to trust in a romantic relationship with anyone. Will this couple EVER get together? And, if they do, what would outside individuals say or do to put a wrinkle in their happiness??

Totally loved loved loved Grip! He was smart and funny. Gorgeous. Caring. Just such a beautiful person! And, Bristol, she was fearless and sharp. Always one on her toes with an idea or goal. And, together, the chemistry was captivating. You could just feel the intensity they had towards each other. There was just so much to this book besides the love story. It sends a powerful message of bravery and determination. It speaks to everyone. It gives hope to those not so fortunate. The passionate intimacy between this couple is sensual and exhilarating. Fireworks! It's just beautiful! Oh, wow! I just am so sorry this story ended! I rushed to finish it because I wanted to see how everything tied up. But now I can't believe it's over. This is definitely re-read material! Read it! You will NOT be disappointed...

I would have rated this higher, because I love Kennedy Ryan's writing, but I felt like there were things in the first half of the book that was unnecessary. Mainly, Bristol and her decision making when it came to the relationship with the man that she was clearly in love with.

After that though, I felt that some of the first half was warranted just to get all the good stuff that came with the rest of the book.
