Amy Gumm hates living in the trailer park in Kansas with her alcoholic mother. Suspended from school, she’s caught off guard by a tornado warning. Surprisingly, I found myself quite enthralled with this reconstructed world of Oz. I mean, I devoured this book, completely caught up in Dorothy's wickedness, the Order, and the training of the new heroine, Amy. Paige did a fantastic job with this classic story and I can't wait to read what comes next. I would really like to see this as a movie. ...more

I was not overly impressed with this book. I found it hard to comprehend that the Dorothy that we all grew up with as children could turn wicked. The writing was easy to read and if you can get past the idea of Dorothy being wicked and or evil than you may like this book.
