This was a pretty good read. This was also my first time reading this author although I have several books by this author. Queen Whitestone is known as the cold queen she became queen are going age when her father and stepmother were killed. Elzira is dying and she doesn't know why. When king Ryke Bloodsun comes to the North to ask for her sisters hand in marriage to form a partnership she says no he knows that something is wrong with the Queen.
