What Members Thought

You know the whole time that this story is building toward something you don't want to see transpire-- a shooting at a Powwow. But before you get there, you get to live in the stories of numerous sympathetic characters who as they all deal with their own struggles-- some going back decades. All of their worlds come together and lost kids and parents reunite before the tragedy of a betrayal ends several of the stories.

Absolutely great book! I hope the author writes more. There were a lot of characters in the book, but I had ones that I found the most interesting - Opal, her sister, Orville, and Blue. Opal is who really hooked more on the book. I, also, liked that the book focused on the Urban Indian rather than the Reservation. I liked the different perspective. This was a great pick for book club.
