On of the lesser exciting books in the series by far. The first half was kind of dull for a Rick Riordan book. I was pretty disappointed. I've come to expect more. The overall series was good but it just didn't end with a bang. (Even though it did. wink wink ;) I guess I'm just so used to consistent action and adventure when I read Riordan's books that any lulls in the plot or motion of things make me anxious and bored.

It was good, funny, and strange, as I've come to expect from these books. It started with action and didn't let up until the (somewhat draggy) end. I literally WHOOPED at the end of the book. Loudly and high-pitched. My kids were like, "What the heck?" But it's been a WHILE since I did that! Best book I've read all year! Or at least in the top 5! I LOVED it! I've been thinking about how Rick Riordan could have improved it...... and the only thing I could think of was make it

Days are flying by for the young Demigods as Gaia’s rise gets closer and closer. Each hero is anxious to get to the end for their own reasons.

It’s fun to see relationships shift and friendships or romances deepen. Each of these young people has something to offer to the quest. At this point they have all grown to rely on each other and trust each other. They are growing up and making plans for the future.
If they survive.

I have really loved this Demigods series. Unfortunately, from a story poin
