This book is particularly interesting right now when Covid-19 is working its way through the world and just getting started in our area.
A dated but fun science fiction story in which seventeen satellites are sent into outer space to collect organisms and dust for study. One of them falls to earth and lands in the middle of desolate Arizona. Twelve miles away in a small town, the streets are littered with dead bodies, as if the people just dropped dead in their tracks. The government must now decide what to do...even if it means dropping a nuclear bomb...to prevent a possible pandemic.
