This book is beautiful but heart-wrenching. Pretty much from the 2nd page, I was completely absorbed but it is emotionally rough. The wife in question is the wife of a pilot of a downed airliner, incredibly topical as every week seems to bring another plane tragedy. She and her daughter struggle with their grief, the constant blame shifting on the news, and finding out how much they don't know about the people they love.
