What Members Thought

4.25*
Carrying on my chronological read of The Lord Wimsey series. This one turned out to be very interesting. We know who the culprit is early on (exceedingly smart fiend), the plot focusing instead on the Why and especially the How. Sayers then dives into law and science matters in a way that surprisingly I enjoyed. What I appreciated less were the few racist comments (yes, I know, of its time - still jarring to my modern eyes).
