After reading The Opposite of Loneliness, I thought I should wait a bit and digest it before reviewing...but really I should know myself better. Now I've gone and forgotten at least half of what I wanted to say.

Mixed opinions on this one -- there's no doubt that Marina Keegan had a lot of talent. I enjoyed her essays and non-fiction much more than her fiction. The essays 'Why We Care About Whales' and 'The Art of Observation' contain interesting ideas around writing and compassion. She shows great understanding and hopefulness about her own generation.
