Interesting. Padma Lakshmi grew up both in India and America, but food-wise, her culture is Indian. Enjoyed her talk of food, her description of her life (especially her marriage to Salman Rushdie). Memoirs are always a favorite genre. Padma obviously an intelligent and thoughtful woman but I didn't see her as the tragic figure that she sees herself. ...more
