Book 2 in Lisa Kleypas's Wallflower Quartet - I would recommend reading them in order!

I'm super enjoying my Lisa Kleypas books as they come around. I had a feeling I'd enjoy this one because the dynamic between the leads is "battle of wills, we hate each other so much it's probably love" and that is my catnip. I was (mostly) right. The leads are both appealing, and occasionally appalling, mostly in their treatment of each other.

A fluffy, quick read, with an unnecessary dramatic ending - though it looks like it was in large part to set up the next book in the series. Nothing special here, but not a bad way to spend a couple hours.

Why did I re-read this? I don't know. My brain needed something super simple I guess. And I remembered liking it much more than I did this time around — though when I checked today I saw I gave it three stars the first time, too. Guess there is something wrong with my brain.
