I picked up this book looking to read a nice, sentimental Christmas story. It was a bit darker than I expected, but it didn't disappoint.
This is one of of those books that teach you a lesson, and provide the reader with many inspirational quotes to get through life. While this isn't the most motivational or inspirational novel I have read, I still enjoyed the message nonetheless.

This deeply moving story is based on truth, and all the more powerful for that.
Our young character is hoping for a bicycle, but gets a sweater. As he tells the story of how the sweater came to be his, he begins by saying it is the one item he will never throw away.
As he reveals his story, we learn why. Powerfully written.

If you listen to Glenn Beck or read his book " inconceivable truth" (I think that is the title) you are used a sharp witted sarcastic sort of funny intelligence. This story is truly jusy innocent and straightforward. Nice twist , great life lesson book.. it reminded me of "five people you meet in heaven"

I really liked this story. I'm not sure if it's because it is a mostly truthful accounting of an event that he experienced or because of how he wrapped it up at the end, but I enjoyed the tale. It was a quick read and it has a nice message.
