I liked it. The author is very talented and the premise was pretty original.
BUT...
The first chapter was horrendous to get through. As a mother (and I was pregnant with baby #2 when I read this...BAAAAAAAD choice!) I do not like reading about abuse of children. Also, it was hard to suspend my disbelief. Things wrapped up just a little too conveniently.

This is one of those books that I've been meaning to read for ages and had rather high expectations of (especially after seeing the film, which on reflection bares little resemblence to the book...as usual really). At first I was thoroughly enjoying the story with its more unusual viewpoint of the victim looking down from their own personal 'heaven', however some aspects later in the book really disappointed me.
