The comfort of a Roberts read along with an apocalyptic word populated by magic. Couldn't be better.

4 stars just because it skipped around a bit and I lost track of which characters were which. Also some didn't feel completely fleshed out or given enough time because there were so many. It was likely a length issue but I'd have liked more on them at the time.

This is a nice story. I found parts of the plot and relationships and some of the exposition a bit simple, but pushing thru them before I took breaks was more effective than stopping at points I had issues with.

Overall, I'm much more interested in 'what happens' than I am with writing issues. I've purchased Book 2 and looking forward to the Kindle and audio versions. The narration is excellent. ...more

I bought this book brand new and put off reading it. Why???? It was so good! Exciting, emotional, funny - It hit all the marks. I loved the plot, loved the characters and always appreciate the fact that Nora rights all different types of men and women. It’s refreshing. I swear parts of this book practically gave me nightmares. So well done.
