In this book Betsy goes to Hell. Literally. She agrees to go there so her sister can ask her mother, The Devil, some questions. What then happens is Betsy and Laura (who is now being referred through most of the book as Antichrist) goes on a romp through time (which apparently is now one of Laura's hellish talents). I thought much of the hell part seemed to drag. I felt as if I were being dumped upon with a crap load of information which is just silly considering this is not the first book in th ...more

This was just strange. Now I don't mind strange if it's well done, but this one missed many of the characters and elements that made this series a fun light read. It focuses almost exclusively on Betsy and Laura traveling through space and time to important moments in the past/ future. Actually the book is a giant retcon allowing MJD to pivot the series in her new darker direction. Unfortunately the pivot is a mostly boring waste of a book. Undead and Unfinished is really just a bunch of the same 'ole self-centered Betsy with a healthy dose of Laura, a spicy, (and LONG overdue, IMO) "take that" from Eric and a t-tiny pinch of Marc & Tina.

Wow, I am struggling with how to rate this book. On one hand, the first half of the book really drug on for me. The second half picked up and was really interesting but also quite unsettling. It answered some things and brought up even more questions. Hmmmm...

I would have given this 4 stars but Betsy's rambling got on my last NERVES!
But still, once Betsy and Laura got going it got better. I still don't know if I got the end just right in my head but I'm curious to see where this is all going in the end with the Book of the Dead and all that.

This book just didn't do it for me. Betsy drove me crazy and I wanted more Sinclair. I think it's time for this series to come to an end or go somewhere. I will give the next book in the series a shot and if I don't like it I am so done with Betsy. ...more

Wow! This was definitely different than the rest of the books in this series. I guess the time traveling is going to really play tricks in later books.
