5 stars – Paranormal/Vampire Romance

Wow! I loved it! I’ve been a big fan of this series from the beginning, and with its tenth installment, Lara Adrian definitely delivered the goods. Chase and Tavia are an awesome H/h pairing, and with some shocking surprises, an epic showdown, a satisfying ending, and a moving epilogue, it’s one of the best books of the series. There’s an 11th book mentioned (TBD) on the author’s website, so I’m hoping that means we haven’t seen the last of the Breed. 5 stars!

4.5 * It's difficult to give a synopsis without giving away too much of the book. Let me just say that events pick up where we left off, with Chase going to jail and allowing the Order to escape to their new compound in Maine. Tavia Fairchild, assistant to a senator, is the witness to Chase's attempted murder of Dragos at the senator's party. Tavia and Chase meet up again when she identifies Chase in a line up, and things go downhill from there. But Tavia isn't what she seems to be.

Now that’s what I’m talking about!
This was so good I couldn’t put it down. It was like watching a James Bond movie.
The bad guy had a hidden island lair. A hidden island lair! Don’t these bad guys know that nothing good comes from having a hidden island lair?
When Tavia finally met The Order, it was like watching a messed up family reunion. With her, Hunter and Nathan, I wondered if the subject would come up or even be an issue.
And now the Breed is a recognized nation?! That’s actually kind of co

Okay, so this book was worth the extra nine months I had to wait for it to come out in paperback, but it's not getting a five star rating. Why you ask? Because (view spoiler) ...more

I really enjoy this series of books and this one was a good addition. All books centre around a group of Breed Warriors called The Order. Breed are somewhat like Vampires, but not
Each book takes a Different member of The Order and they find a mate whilst fighting some kind of enemy.
This book is about Sterling Chase and his battle with bloodlust. It was about time that Chase got his own book. I think his mate is kick ass and there are some hints at the origins of the breed mates.

Usually when you get to book 10 in a series you are starting to lose interest but with this series it just keeps getting better! So much happened in this book that I could talk about but I do not want to spoil it for anyone who is yet to read it.

Lara has really changed things up and I can't wait to see what happens now. I wasn't disappointed in Chase's story in the slightest, in fact I think this is my favourite book in the series so far.
