I have mixed feelings about this book - I found the idea interesting but the story very drawn out and in some parts irritated me - for example I never quite got why Karen would have been so enthralled by Biba or how and why Karen and Rex got together in the first place, to me it would have made sense had Karen befriended Biba and become obsessed with Rex and it all unravelled from there, we never got any detail as to how or why the Karen/Biba relationship was meant to be so strong and on that po

was an okay read but enjoyed more the final twist in the story which make more like the tales of the unexpected but also felt the author could of developed more the relationship between biba and karen more unless was the author intention for us to make our own conclusions

This was a really odd book, whilst it was compelling once you got into it, it was far from a satisfying read. I don't handle injustice well and like people who use others even less. This maybe coloured my judgement of the book; I like to warm to characters. The last twist came as a bit of a surprise, but was unrealistic given the peronalities involved. 2.5 stars
