I was worried about this one. I loved the title (and the cover!) but was concerned by the list of characters. I thought it might lean too heavily on other books. And it does not! The writing style is wonderful, the characters are well-drawn, the questions raised are interesting, and the adventure is just fun.

This started slow but then grew on me enough that I'm going to look for the next. I appreciated the chance to meet the characters through their interjections and then see how they appeared in the story as well.
