Another favorite, this one flew by. Love the developments with pretty much everyone. We get more of Angie-baby with developments with Edmund, Edmund changes, Evan isn't a douche now, even nifty Leo developments, plenty of quality Bruiser time, a fascinating battle/sub-story with her magic - although I hated seeing her weaker some of the time.

My biggest "like" about this book is that Jane and Leo DO NOT have a sexual relationship. I'm so tired of the whole MOC thing (Anita Blake) - charismatic yet cruel. (I'm over it.) After the way Leo has treated Jane, a relationship between them just wouldn't be believable and would honestly be the end of the series for me. So please Ms. Hunter, do not create a sexual relationship between them, I just couldn't stand it.

This series just gets better and better with each installment. This one hit the ground running from the first chapter and didn't slow down, ever! Jane Yellowrock, skinwalker and Enforcer to the vampire Master of the City and of the South of America but not Florida (etc etc) is setting up a conclave between the witches and the vampires. However, nothing is ever as easy as it should be on paper and soon Jane encounters a magic attack, which sets the ball rolling for an unbelievable ride of pain, d

Argh, why can I not love these books. If you are a Jane fan, which you probably are, just ignore my rating.
This started as one of the better Yellowrock books, I was liking the plot and characters, and it even had some humor, wow. I was thinking I was going to start enjoying the series. I still didn't really like Bruiser and Jane, I had a change from wanting Bruiser from the beginning of the series for Jane, to no longer supporting him when he offered his blood in apology to Leo. Taken from Goodreads:
Slaying vampires is child’s play for skinwalker Jane Yellowrock. But handling the complicated politics of New Orleans’ supernatural players is another story..
It was some of the best filler work I've ever seen. It managed to have a complete story line while providing a great starting point for when the Europeans Fangheads come to town. ...more

This was another great entry in the series - which has been consistently good. I liked how things progressed, and I'm also really wondering what will happen eventually with the European vamps.
