A great, true book about survival, rescue, and adventure during WWII with one of the leading characters being a female. The writing style is journalistic where you find out about each character as they are introduced and the author keeps the plot interesting and moving. The Gremlin Special crashes on a 3 hour tour of New Guinea where only 3 of 24 survive. This was a story that I had never heard before, and I'm glad this book was written and I read it. ...more
