I am a great fan of Wolfe and find his tales always interesting. He is truly a fine writer.
There's such depth in these books. This one, like much of his most recent fiction, give me the feeling that I'm just on the cusp of understanding something momentous, but it slips away at the last moment.
I saved this one for vacation, reading it on the Caribbean beaches of St. John, adding to it's romance and mystery. ...more
