As Binti returns to earth to visit her family for the first time in over a year, the tension between what she feels she needs to do in the world outside her family's insular existence and her love for them and for her homeland is extreme. And it's exacerbated by the presence of Binti's friend Okwu, whose race has been at war with humans for generations. More than a chapter than a book of its own. Nothing much seems to happen, and it ends on a cliffhanger. Binti is a cool character and there's some neat worldbuilding, but I didn't really feel anything while reading this.
