This is another book to add to my "It was Fine" shelf. It follows the story of Ann and Miriam, two embroiderers who are tasked with completing the princess's (now the queen) wedding dress. The story is told through both women's perspectives in 1947, along with Ann's granddaughter, Heather, in 2016, after she finds samples of her late grandmother's sewing and seeks to find out about her life in England before moving to Toronto.
