This was my all-time favorite book as a teenager for many years. It is such a comfort read for me still, and I listened to it at night as I settled in to sleep. It is sometimes slow, a distant POV, and it doesn’t have as much romance as I remember. But not every book has to be in the same style, and I think it does what it does well. It keeps that fairytale feel with the more distant POV and lyrical writing. It stays very close to the original fairytale but fills in the logic gaps. It’s a sweet,

I absolutely loved this book. I picked it up a week or so back and only read a few pages here and there. When I really got into the book, I didn't want to put it down. Really liked the way that the author created this story of the Princess. It was very magical and creative. This book was all about the Princess finding out who she is and what she wants to stand for in her Kingdom. I fell in love with this book. It is one that I want to read over and over again. I really felt like Shanon Hale did a very good job with this fairy tale.
