LOVE this series, although it may be a bit too depressing for some young adult readers, and a perfect story to read on a day where we learn that the Earth has shifted on its axis as a result of the earthquake in Chile.

I know there are a lot of mixed reviews with this series but I am enjoying it, well however much you can enjoy doom and gloom. Alex is hard to like, but not because he is bad, but because his personality seems a little void of emotion, mind you I guess mine would be also if I were in his shoes. I didn't like it more than the first book, but I would say I liked it equal. Different points of view, same time period. I am curious how I will find the third.

I didn't like this book as much as Life As We Knew It. I didn't find the characters or situation as compelling.
