Anyone interested in ebooks should check out Burning the Page: The eBook Revolution and the Future of Reading. It discusses the development on the original kindle along with ideas about the advantages and disadvantages of ebooks. There are also a lot of interesting ideas about where ebooks and reading may be headed. There are also some nice science fiction references scattered throughout.

I read a review of that http://paidcontent.org/2013/04/09/boo... being a Nook person I love the comments he made on what BN did better but that's just my bias :)
