So I always hear people say they fell in love with a character in a book. So, I want to know what books have a character that you fell in love with and why??

I fell in love with Leo Valdez! He just sounds like a really cute and funny guy.

I am in love with Daenerys Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Khaleesi of the Dothraki, called DAENERYS STORMBORN, the UNBURNT, MOTHER OF DRAGONS!!!
...And future Queen on the Iron Throne.

Why? Because she is bad ass. My favorite female character in fiction.

This doesn't mean romantic love, does it? If so I don't care, I will switch teams for Daenarys.

I really loved Pi in Life of Pi. I just loved the way he thought about everything. And he could tell a story.

I absolutely adore Karl Ove Knausgård in his metamodernistic books of his life, called MIN KAMP. He is brutally honest and removes all forms of masks he might have had before.

I'm head-over-heels in love with Miles Vorkosigan, creation of the brilliant Lois McMaster Bujold. He's witty, heroic, fast on his feet and completely neurotic. I wish he could come to life so I could have a conversation with him or just watch him in action. I wonder if the author feels the same way...

I feel this way about Paul Childs (Julia's husband). Or maybe it's Stanley Tucci's version in the film..... ;-)

Ooh! Also, Bren Cameron of the Foreigner series, by C. J. Cherryh. Such a gentleman. It takes a real man to pull off a lace collar and cuffs on a regular basis.

I loved the main character, Kimberly Chang, in Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok. I loved her evolution from young, unsure immigrant child to (spoiler alert) more self-assured young woman, and everything in between. I love how she learns to take care of herself and her mother and speak up to her Auntie. I love how she doesn't stay with the boy she loves just out of convenience. I love how brave she is. She makes mistakes and is human, but she scraped and crawled her way up and out to make it! She was an amazing example to everyone!

Fell in love with Caleb from Wake. I would kill to have someone love me like that. Most of the other romances book all have sex and lust and whatnot, how about just some good old fashion miss-and-love series?

Miles Vorkosigan would rank very high. Although I suspect in real life he would quickly drive me nuts. there are others but probably my secret pleasure is J.D. Robbs' Roarke.

I agree to an extent Diana. Young Miles would probably drive me crazy too, but the older more mature Miles of the later books (I just finished reading Diplomatic Immunity) is fairly stable. In any case, life with Miles is never boring :-)

I love Evan from Breath series and of course Edward Cullen, don't be too cool for school, u know u read it and ya luved him!♡

I always kinda laughed at people who fell in love with book characters...then I started reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood books...and I have to say, I love those guys! My favorites are Rhage and V.

I fall in love easily with book characters. Oftentimes, it's more of a passing infatuation, but some of them stay with me for a long long time.
My current biggest love is Draco Malfoy .. the way he is often presented in Fanfiction focused around him (JKR didn't do him justice).
And Katniss of course.
