Dali | 1 comments I am looking for books about little girls with super powers. Something to read to a group of 5-7 year olds. I need something that is inspiring, not an internal conflict of where do I fit in, but something about a little girl that uses her super powers to help others.
I can't find anything like this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Melissa Matthews You could try the Goddess Girls series, beginning with Athena the Brain. It may be a little old for the target age group, and there is a bit of new girl conflict, but it might work for you.

Pamela Love | 1510 comments Very appropriate for this age group is the Rainbow Magic series (by Daisy Meadows, which I suspect is a pseudonym) which is about two girls who become friends with fairies and help them. The fairies grant them the ability to fly in almost every book, and they sometimes have other powers as well. Note that these books are very girl-centric, and human boys barely exist at all. The villains are not very scary goblins, who are all male, however. Ruby the Red FairyThis is the first book, but there are dozens. Many are seasonal.

Another possibility is the Cam Jansen mystery series, by David A. Adler. Her "super power" is her perfect memory, which she uses to solve mysteries. Cam Jansen and the Mystery of the Babe Ruth Baseball

Pamela Love | 1510 comments Another possibility is Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren. She's the strongest girl in the world (and stronger than grown men) and in one chapter she rescues two boys from a fire. (I believe she tightrope walks to their bedroom.) In another chapter, she makes bullies stop bullying by putting them into a tree. Pippi Longstocking
