Amanda (readingwithmanda) I'm excited to have someone to read this with me, I've tried to read it two times already and just can't get into it yet. Hopefully this time around I can. :)

Ruth Noemi Rojas (httpwwwgoodreadscomcollinss66) | 341 comments I will join you ladies! Amanda, I have tried reading this as well, but I haven't been able to finish it!

Nagarjun Prasad | 6 comments The Book is nice and I recommend not to see the movie as it kinda ruins your will to read the book

Cheyenne | 565 comments Hhmm are ya'll going to be reading the whole series? I've already read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire. I might join in on this.

Amanda (readingwithmanda) Sorry to you all, I didn't even notice anyone commented on here till just now.

@Ruth Noemi I don't know why I've tried twice now to read this book and I can't seem to get past chapter 6. The beginning just is slow for me and kinda boring, I just need to push myself to read it because I know it gets better.

@Nagarjun I haven't seen the movie yet, I wont watch movies until I read the books anyways. I really want to watch the movie since it's on Netflix I just force myself not to till I finish the book. :)

@Cheyenne I would like to read the whole series, since the second movie is out already. When I finally get to Mockingjay I will read it with you. I have all of them, just need to read them.

Cheyenne | 565 comments That sounds great Amanda. I own all three as well, but I haven't read Mockingjay for some reason.

I feel I should warn you since you have trouble with The Hunger Games, Catching Fire starts off very slow. Seeing as I flew through THG myself and I felt that way, I'm not sure how slow it would feel to you.

Amanda (readingwithmanda) Okay cool that works with me maybe late May we can read Mockingjay since I don't want to keep putting them off.

I'm thinking about just getting the audio book of THG just so I can get into it. I'm not sure though but I will figure it out. I don't know why it's a slow read for me, I just feel like the beginning is the slow part for me. But thanks for the heads up on that though. I feel like maybe once I get past THG it might not be a slow read but who knows.

message 9: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (readingwithmanda) So is there a certain way we want to read the book since we start tomorrow? :)

Late May is fine for me, but I've waited this long so whenever is good for you. Just let me know.

The audio book might work, it'll probably be less of an effort for you. I don't use them myself though. Your welcome too.

Okay hopefully I can get through it this time and then we can read Mockingjay together. I just think the audio book might help get out of the slow part then read when it gets to the good part. I've done audio books before but I always have the book open in front of me and follow along with the audio book that's the only way I can do it.

Amanda (readingwithmanda) I still haven't gotten around to reading this book yet. But I'm going to get the audio book and read along with it this week. So it shouldn't take me to long to read the book. How is everyone else enjoying it so far?
