Universes Unite [Rebooted!] discussion

The largest part of the whole school, located on the top floor is the library. There's an extensive collection of books and other information. There is a restricted section, but no one knows what things are inside.

Tess, Momo, and Coco finally arrived here. "Great! Now let's look up the meaning of your name! Is this Internet of yours in a book, or on a computer?" Momo asked in a curious tone. "I'd like to see a computer too,"

"What we're going to use isn't the Internet, but it's still on a computer. There's a row of them over...that way," Tess pointed, "but we can get a laptop over here at the desk. It doesn't seem like the librarian is here right now though."

"I don't want to steal a laptop. Let's just use those computers," Momo hurried over there and stared at the contraption in confusion.

"Where did you hail from? The Stone Age?" Coco smirked slightly.

"Edo Japan! I know what computers are! I just haven't used one before!" She nervously pushed a random key on the keyboard.

Tess giggled. "Sit down, I'll show you how to do it," she said and sat in front of one of the computers. She pressed a button on the monitor and turned the screen on as well.

Momo nodded and sat down, feeling a bit self-conscious about how unaware of the modern world she was. She stared at the yellow backdrop. "Alright, what now?" She asked, genuinely excited to learn.

Tess signed into the computer and opened up the file browser. "So, I think we'll look up....name meanings. And there should be a thingy.....um, what's it called?"

"I don't know, I don't know much about computers," A blinking black line was awaiting her input on the screen, so she quickly typed in 'what does the name tess mean' and hit Enter.

"Well at least you know how to type!" Tess said, starting to look through the search results. "Let's see, it means....Harvester, or Reap."

"Ohhhh, so like a Soul Reaper!" Momo smiled. "Seems more like a name that'd fit me, honestly. I mean, you're a demon, but I don't think you reap souls or anything, right?"

"No, I don't think that's any of my powers. Daddy didn't say anything about that," Tess said. "I think Mommy just named me Tess because she thought it was a cute name! Not to toot my own horn or whatever, but I agree."

Momo giggled. "This name was picked for me like I said. I think before I died my old name was Hanako? Which means flower child. I think it's cute too!"

"Ooh that is cute! Japanese names are so so interesting," Tess said. "I do love names sometimes."

"Well don't look mine up. I have no idea where my name came from. Everyone...before we came here all had weird names. Our guardian was named Monday for starters," Coco shrugged, wandering away to look at some books.

"To each their own I suppose," Momo shrugged. "What else can I do on this computer?"

"I'm not entirely sure, since it's basically just an extremely vast database comprised of all the information the school has been able to gather," Tess shrugged. "Of course, there's still some information you can't get to."

"Hmmmm....let's look stuff up!" Momo giggled and looked up 'edo japan' and smiled when the pictures came up. "The Soul Society looks like that! Isn't it pretty? I wish I could go back home..."

Tess gasped quietly. "Oh wow, that is very pretty," she said, looking at the pictures in awe. Finally, she felt a yawn coming on and she covered her mouth.

"I know! Sometimes we hold festivals where we wear beautiful kimonos! Those are my favorite since just wearing the same black robe gets annoying sometimes," She noticed Tess yawn and giggled. "I think your sugar high is over,"

"Ooh kimonos....I've always wanted to wear one," Tess said, yawning again. "Yeah, I think it's over too....I'm so tired now."

"Maybe one day you will. Maybe we can buy one from a store or something!" Momo smiled.

"I can take her back to her dorm," Coco offered, whirling around. "I trust you alone way more than I trust her,"

"Ooh, when we go shopping for our room!" Tess agreed with a sleepy giggle. She looked up to Coco and frowned a little. "Why don't you trust me? And trust me with what even?"

"Oh, right, we still need to do that!" Momo nodded.

"I don't trust you walking back to your room, but I trust her with something she's never seen before," Coco thought about it. "Actually maybe you should go back to your room alone. I don't want Momo to blow this whole place up on accident,"

"I can walk to my room!" Tess protested. "But I don't think Momo will blow everything up. She's still smart."

Coco simply shrugged and walked away to a better-lit portion of the library.

"You probably should go to bed though. Imagine if you pass out from your crash!" Momo worried.

"Oh dear, that would be very bad!" Tess said with another yawn. She rubbed her eyes this time. "Okay, maybe I can't walk to my room."

"I'll take you, don't worry!" Momo smiled and took Tess' arm. "Don't worry, I'm stronger than I look so I can carry you if I need to!"

"Okay, thank you," Tess smiled sleepily, so very grateful. "Sleeping is....definitely good to do. Maybe you could speak to the twins for me while I wait? Ask them about maybe separate dates?"

"Alright!" She nodded, and after leading Tess to her dorm, she decided to head to Kyuusho to see if the twins were up yet.

Christine had just finished shelving a stack of books and returned to her desk to get another stack. She loved her job, but it was currently a little too quiet for her liking. She liked to hear the sound of book pages being turned and sighs or gasps of their readers, but oh well. Despite the library being mostly empty, there had somehow been seven stacks of books for her to reshelve.

Belial wandered into the library, since he heard a new shipment of books came in and he was eager to read them. Most however weren't on the shelves, but in boxes all around the librarian's desk. He walked up there and noticed the librarian picking up another stack of books. "Excuse me, do you need some help?" He asked politely.

Christine smiled. "I would love some help, how nice of you to offer. But don't feel obligated," she said. She knew that some people just felt the polite need to offer their help, and she really didn't want to inconvinience him in any way.

((Well they are both teachers so maybe?))

"No, I just like to help people. Plus nobody else is in here, and my help will make this go faster," He grabbed another stack of books. "Besides, I can fly, so I can reach the taller shelves," He grew out his bat wings and took off, gently placing books on the really high shelves.

"Well then thank you very much," Christine smiled. Getting all the way up to the higher shelves took so very long since she had to use the ladder. So, while any help was appreciated, that was very much so.

"Don't mention it," He finished that stack and flew down to pick up another stack, then started filling up another shelf. "Speaking of which, what is your name? I've seen you in the teachers' lounge a few times but I've never actually gotten your name," He flew down to the ground. "I'm Belial,"

"My name is Christine," she said, smiling. "It's a pleasure to meet you Belial." She picked up the last stack of books and began to shelve them where they belonged, thinking about how much time he'd saved her.

"What a pretty name," He complimented. "I dated a woman in the 1770's with that same name. I mean, she is dead now, but..." He trailed off with a shrug. "Looks like we put all the books away, huh?"

"I'm glad you like it. I'm quite fond of it myself," she replied. She looked back at the desk his his last comment. "Yes I suppose we are! That took three times less than it usually does."

"Because I can fly," He reminded her gently. "Well, this place won't open for at least another hour, so why don't we chat to pass the time?" He pulled up a random chair. "Well, we know each others names, but what about species, if that isn't a rude question? I'm a demon, obviously, and you are a....nature spirit?" He motioned to her flowing braid full of flowers.

((I'm reading some of our older RPs and knowing who all your characters are now makes them even better XD))

"Oh no, actually I'm an Ancient being," she replied. "We have no simple name that describes us all. The flowers in my hair are a story all their own. But really, I just like how they look." She smiled and sat down not far from him. "You know, I wouldn't have guessed you're a demon from anything but your appearance."

"Ah, I see. Interesting," He nodded simply. "Really? Did my personalty tip you off? Demons don't have to be all scary and world-destroying, you know. I've actually forgotten what my original purpose was, and I have no interest in finding out. I'm perfectly happy here,"

((Like at one point Whitlea tells Momo if she needs help to go find two wolves and they'll help her and at the time I didn't get it))

"Yes actually. You are very kind," she said with a soft smile. "I don't often meet demons, simply because they don't come in here. I met a demon once, and he wasn't very nice to me...and he had a quite ridiculous reason."

He chuckled. "Well I'm sorry that one chance experience ruined your thoughts about demons forever," He leaned back in his seat slightly. "And no, I did not know him. I never met any other demons. Plenty of humans though."

"I wasn't going to ask if you did," she said, laughing softly. "And I'm not ruined, I've just never met a good one, as far as I'm aware. Other than you, of course." She added the last part rather quickly so as not to offend him.

"No offense taken. Like I said, I don't think I've ever met any others. I mean, one of my charges in Niji House is a demon too, but she doesn't have wings or anything," He explained. "So, why'd you decide on this particular job?"

Also would you like to join Cynthia and I in an RP in Lacie's ice cream shop? She wanted to do one with my Bleach characters and I suggested you tag along since Lacie has ice powers and it'd make for an interesting conversation.

"Oh, well perhaps I'll meet her sometime," she said. "I decided on this job since I really love books and stories. I'm the Ancient of Stories, actually. And this job seemed like a proper fit."

"Maybe you will. We are planning another party, so perhaps she'll be there and you can meet her," He suggested. "Yes, very fitting indeed. I know some people think it's strange that a demon is in charge of Niji House, but when I found out what sort of people got sorted there....well it just seemed fitting. After all I'm pretty scary on the outside but gentle on the inside."

((Oh darn. Well she could be visiting or something))

"Well perhaps I'll attend, if it's not too rowdy," Christine said. "I'm not fond of too much noise, and I would love to bring my children along as well. They do so love parties, but they aren't able to go to them very often."

"Oh, you have children? How adorable," He smiled. "I obviously don't have any myself. Being a demon I'm not sure if I can procreate or not, but I consider my charges to be my children so that's good enough,"

((An idea for the RP? I was just thinking Momo could take Toshiro to get some ice cream, then he finds out Lacie also has ice powers and starts showering her with questions XD

"I'm sure that with a member of your own species, you would be able to procreate," she said, thinking that only logical. "But it's still good that you care for your charges like that."
